This book was not my favorite by Tessa Bailey. I am a 1-click customer of here and will continue to be, but this book didn’t burrow into my heart. I know I’m in the minority on this, so give it a try and maybe it will click with you! I thank the publisher, author and netgalley for this ARC.

Tessa Bailey never fails to disappoint! Unfortunately Yours is a fun, feelgood story. Natalie and August are lovable, despite their flaws and stubbornness. This is a great book to read if you need to escape reality for a while. Can’t wait for Tessa’s next tale!

Yes ma’am, Tessa Bailey! I know your full time job is to write for our pleasure, but could you please get rid of your extracurriculars / hobbies and write in all of your spare time? Love love love this one!

Tessa Bailey is an auto-buy author for me, however, that doesn't always mean I fall in love with each book. Some have been a bit too comical with ridiculous heroine's I couldn't realistically envision, but others suck me in and don't let go. That was Unfortunately Yours.

I did not read the first book in this series, but I was still able to follow along just fine and didn't feel like I missed any important background.

Natalie is a strong character with dry humor and a smart attitude. But it was the MMC, August, who captivated my heart. His passion for trying to help his late friend's legacy and dream as a winemaker was more than just heartwarming, it brought me to tears. I felt so bad for him each time we learn how terrible his wine is. Natalie's fierce personality and August's ex-Navy Seal bravado made for the trademark humor, banter and spice we know from Tessa Bailey.

This is one of my favorite romances in the past year, and one I will recommend to all my friends looking for a fresh read.

IF YOU LOVE ENEMIES TO LOVERS, FAKE RELATIONSHIP TROPES, THIS BOOK WAS MADE FOR YOU. I seriously am OBSESSED and have the biggest book hangover from this book. It's the perfect read to get you in the Valentine's Day mood.

Tessa Bailey just ALWAYS HITS. These characters had the best heated moments, made me laugh out loud, and truly were BEYOND adorable. Big military man meets business girl in NYC, it was just the cutest.

Overall, this is such a must read and this entire series (A VINE MESS) does not get the credit it deserves!! Add this to your list ASAP you won't regret it!!!

"Unfortunately Yours" by Tessa Bailey was not my favorite of Ms. Bailey’s novels, but overall very enjoyable!

As always, her characters are engaging and fun! Tessa Bailey's wit and the chemistry between the protagonists make this a highly enjoyable read, perfect for those seeking a lighthearted romantic escape.

Thank you so much for this copy. I read the first one and it was okay. I was determined to read the first part because I was invested. I unfortunately, did not like it. I thought the romance was a little cringe and there wasn’t really that much character development. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but this was just every rushed and it was hard to finish it.

I was happy to get this book because I enjoyed Julian and Halle’s story in book one. However when I started the second book in the dulogy, I didn’t enjoy it as much as the predecessor. Tessa Bailey is a strong writer, and her stories move quickly while being filled with flirting and sizzling moments. Unfortunately Yours has all those elements. For me, what was lacking was the charm between the characters. August was a solid romantic lead, his backstory was flushed out, and well-develop, but to be quite honest, I found myself actively disliking Natalie. I didn’t care about her or her issues. The romance and Bailey’s writing made the worth reading but, at times, it was a struggle.

I love Tessa Bailey and jump at the chance to read her books. This title was an excellent example of her skills and talent. She always manages to blend humor and erotic scenes in the best way. I always find myself laughing out loud and then fanning myself with a particularly steamy scene. Will always request her titles.

Thank you for this ARC copy.

This was a cute fake dating/marriage troupe. Nice spice and a good amount of witty banter. Overall a good read. Reminded me of the movie The Proposal. .

I am a huge Tessa Bailey fan and being able to read more about some of the characters seen in Secretly Yours was a delight. I loved this marriage of convenience! The love interests had incredibly chemistry and you wanted them to make it for the very start! Such a steamy fun read!

I liked this one better than the first in the series, but it was not my favorite of Tessa Bailey's books.

Tessa Bailey's "Unfortunately Yours" is a scorching romance that flawlessly embraces the marriage of convenience trope, elevating it to new heights. This sequel surpasses its predecessor, delivering a witty and creative narrative that captivates from start to finish.

Natalie Vos, with her mirrorball-coded personality, is a breath of fresh air. Her bluntness, confidence, and radiant attitude make her a nuanced and layered character. The unapologetic way she roasts August at every turn adds a delightful dynamic to their relationship. The banter between them is nothing short of electric, keeping readers engaged and entertained. Natalie's character development, from her family relationships to finding her place in the world, is a refreshing journey.

August, a war veteran down bad for Natalie, is a swoon-worthy hero. His attentiveness, sensitivity, and adoration for Natalie are downright charming. The way he bows to her every whim, calling her princess and cooking for her, is endearing. The steamy scenes are not just spicy; they are jaw-dropping, proving that it's always the sunshine characters who surprise the most.

The love between Natalie and August feels alive, and their connection is palpable.

In addition to the central romance, Bailey skillfully weaves family dynamics, complicated relationships, and personal growth into the narrative. The pacing is impeccable, and the surprises at every turn keep the story engaging. The spicy scenes are not just hot but toe-curlingly satisfying.

Despite the familiarity of some romance tropes, Bailey manages to inject a fresh and invigorating energy into the narrative. The characters' communication and willingness to address challenges add depth to their love story.

"Unfortunately Yours" is a triumph for Tessa Bailey, showcasing her ability to craft a captivating and emotionally resonant romance. August and Natalie's story is a perfect balance of humor, passion, and heartfelt moments. If you're a fan of marriage of convenience, enemies-to-lovers, and steamy romance, this book is an absolute must-read. Tessa Bailey proves once again that she is a master of the genre, delivering a five-star experience that will leave readers wanting more.

I'm always thrilled for the next Tessa Bailey banger because I always feel her getting better and better, but the marriage of convenience trope just wasn't working for me with this voice/plot, so I DNF rather than get peeved with one of my favorite authors lol.

I think this was my favorite book in the series but I didn’t love it. I loved the banter between Natalie and August and I’m a sucker for a fake marriage trope but not my favorite of Tessa’s books!

Tessa Bailey always delivers a fun romantic comedy that has emotional, in depth characters and cute romance in a bite size novel.

Unfortunately Yours is no different, and is a comforting read to come into with your expectations ready to be met. August, our soft MMC, is the quintessential embodiment of an ex-Navy SEAL and a Golden Retriever of a man. It is no wonder he falls so fast and hard for Natalie, a feisty and strong-willed woman who just happens to have her life upended. Natalie is where the story shines for me. She's an incredibly relatable character that mirrors so many mental struggles that I internalize. August doesn't swoop in to save the day, but instead is a rock to lean on and someone to help Natalie feel seen with no expectations to live up to, a huge struggle for her with everyone else in her life.

Their passion for one another had me kicking my feet and wistfully sighing with each page flip, but I always find Tessa Bailey's men pure perfection. If I wasn't married, my standards would be too high for any man to ever meet, only growing higher with every release of hers. The character progression from the first page to the ending is emotional, but hope inspiring. Tessa makes you also feel seen, the August to our Natalie, and that you can overcome anything in life to blossom into your true self.

Thank you to Tessa Bailey and Avon for the ARC!
