There are so many things I could relate to in this book. The main one is how to find and see the good side of life.

Having a negative attitude and looking for what is or can go wrong is not only exhausting, it makes for a personality that no one wants to be near. Allie is working hard at finding the bright side of life in this story.

Baker brings us a delightful connection between Allie and Ryan. I love the best-friend connection and the warmth of the islanders. The characters are humorous, insightful, and a welcome addition to this charming story.

Finding love in unexpected places and allowing yourself to open up enough to see it and accept it is a big part of Her Unexpected Match. With a little heat and a big dose of sweetness, this story dives into opening up your heart and soul so you can live your best life.

An unexpected four-star read. This was nearly a five-star but it waffled a little in parts, it has all of the bits you need it just needed a little tidy up. Allie was great one she finally became her true self, but her struggle is what made her feel much more real. I don’t know if it was the fact that all of the Parker children and Allie were mostly in their mid-thirties or up, but none of them had settled and acted like less mature than teenagers in some other stories. The thing I did adore was the setting of Crescent Island and the characters who inhabit it, they made this story so much stronger and more whimsical, it just made me fall in love with the place, and most of the people. I am excited to see where we will go next, hopefully back to the island as there are so many more people I would like to hear from.

My first time reading this authors work.... Which has me pleased.
Allie and Ryan were great characters. I really enjoyed following Allie's story and seeing where this book took her.
I loved the small town feel this book had. The vivid descriptions of Crescent Island was done beautifully.
I thought the writing was entertaining and satisfying.
IMO it did feel more on the slow side which I didn't mind at all.
Her Unexpected Match has a few surprises to throw at ya.
Overall, a quick, entertaining and good story.
I will pick a book up by Baker in the future.
