3.25/5 stars! This reads like a grown-up version of "One of Us is Lying." I adore hackers in mystery novels and this was not a letdown. Watching the consequences of these secrets spirals was breathtaking and had me sitting on edge. That portion of the story was engaging and interesting. However, the pacing of this story was off and I felt like it took a really long time to get to anything that held my attention and kept me turning the pages. Overall, a simple, quick mystery thriller.

Great book! If you are the type of person that hides behind the curtain to watch your neighbors argue, or to spy on police questioning someone, then this book is for you!
I love reading about the awful things rich folk do to each other.

The Real Housewives meets Big Little Lies in this domestic thriller, rich moms willing to do anything for their kids and to keep their status at the top of the private school food chain. For these wealthy moms, their biggest concerns were boarding school admissions and school fundraisers until a Yik Yak-type app exposes all of their secrets, including murder. Everyone's a suspect in this close-knit community. Juicy and clever, this was a fun read, with an unexpected twist.

Thank you to NetGalley for an arc of No One Needs to Know in exchange for an honest review. This review is wholly my own and may not be reproduced.

An anonymous neighborhood forum gets hacked and now it’s not so anonymous anymore. Chaos ensues when all of the secrets now belong to faces & names. These wealthy residents are ruthless and will do anything to protect their secrets, even kill.

This kind of reminded me of Gossip Girl for adults. Which is not a bad thing – I loved Gossip Girl!

The characters are not really characters that you are going to like or that you will want to root for and you’re not really supposed to. They’re all evil in their own ways. No one in this neighborhood is innocent.

Told from multiple POVs (Norah, Poppy & Heather)

I thought this book was well written and was an easy, quick read that grips you and holds on making you want to keep reading to find out what happens next.

I give it 4 Stars and would definitely recommend giving it a read!

If you like Real Housewives, I think you'll really enjoy No One Needs to Know. It's heavy on the drama of over the top private school moms of NYC and the murder aspect is really a small side plot. The victim is a creep and no one is really sad that he's gone, even the reader. No One Needs to Know is also a cautionary tale of the naivete of believing anything on the internet is anonymous or private. Think before you pour out your soul, troll or dish out gossip you know to be a lie!

No One Needs to Know is a gossipy, soapy thriller. The premise is interesting, an anonymous website that the Upper East Side women post their darkest secrets but the website is hacked and authors of posts are now public. These same women all have children in an ultra-exclusive private school and they are all fighting to ensure their children are given the best opportunities to succeed in life. The hack story line comes after about two thirds of the book is over and puts a new spin on the drama in the lives of these woman. The book is told from the POV of three women - Poppy, Heather and Norah. These women are characters we all have watched on any housewives show and love to hate. The woman are a bit stereotypical of what you’d think a 1% from NYC is like, but it’s still a fun read and I couldn’t wait to see how everything wrapped up.

Thank you so much for this ARC!

An anonymous forum for the privileged parents of the Upper East Side is HACKED. Secrets are revealed and someone ends up dead with all clues leading back to the forum. Who is the killer? Heather (outsider desperate for her daughter to get into the right boarding school, Poppy (the Queen with the money and the connections) and Norah (the successful mom who really needs to focus more on her fam).

This book was ADDICTING. I read this in less than 24 hours and just could not look away. The POV's of all three mama's was so perfect and I actually enjoyed reading all three (sometimes I don't like some characters as much as others - this was not the case at all!). Fast paced and totally juicy.

You should definitely read this if:
- you loved Big Little Lies and Gossip Girl
- you're interested in the cutthroat world of private schools
- you need to rethink how much you share on social media

Hacked forum! Snitches get stitches! Or, perhaps escape from work/life balance!
Whatever you might wish to call this novel one thing is certain -Perfection might be overrated but in this case PERFECTION starts with Cameron!
I don't think I've had as much fun in the past few days reading than I have when I sat down to be enthralled by, "No One Needs to Know."
The title says it all- NOBODY needs to know in theory but in essence everyone wants to know your damn business. Drama is spinning faster than the National Enquirer can print it up.
What we have in this situation is three woman with various different issues and one person dead.
Wait...what?
This is a preppy high school -wth? Someone's dead?!
Not just dead but the forum for gossip is becoming juicier. Ripe with accusations, full of questions, with humor tossed in for good measure, and some serious vaping weed charges being tossed around.
It's a question of not whom did it but whom caught it on video and then what actor(s) were involved in order to face charges.
Everyone was suspect until one by one the pile started to dwindle.
Not my kid, nope not my kid, neither was it mine....we went around the circle of friends.
If that didn't wet your whistle than perhaps a full affair accusation & some divorce forums just might?!
Ok, not to get overly excited but I'll tell ya I read tons of books from all genres and this is truly my favorite by far! Hands down...Or, was it hands up...
Good grief, I think I hear sirens....
Wait, one second...the police have arrived to start interviewing people after finding Bennett -Norah's husband.
Could Heather our outsider turned mom of the year seeking placement in an elite school for her girl be at the root cause of known evil?
How about Norah herself? After all she was seeking divorce for the alleged infidelity allegations?
What was this about a large sum of money being tossed around for some scam? Was this to by silence? Could this be a con artist flexing their muscles and preying upon women?
Look, I think I hear Poppy who is an angel in disguise (enter sarcasm here)....
Oh, wait...Bulletin announcement- We bring to your attention that someone is messing around with the school's lacrosse coach..
Are you kidding? Sicko's !
My word, I couldn't get enough of this "hactivist" anonymous group because these ladies sure know how to have a good time.
It might just be that Lindsay is a former lawyer (public defender intern/Masters in criminal justice here) or because I have put my kids through these elite private schools & know far too much about how they're run.
Or, could it be because I'm divorced and no the rumor mill from a line of enablers turned smear campaign expert.
Either way you can't lose with this one because it's certain to cause a stir! Bon Voyage!! ;)

This story started good—a fight for school placement from the Upper East Side families. A few things happened along the way, and I thought the story still was on a good leg. Perhaps it's not so bad, the kids are involved, and the parents are just background noises. Fifteen chapters in and the book become a soap opera. Don't get me wrong; I love a good gossip story now and then. However, this story has been done, and some authors have written better. Not to discredit the author, Lindsay Cameron writes very well. At times the story is engaging, but it doesn't move forward. It's stuck on one problem regarding the kids, and gossip and cheating get in the way of good story development. There was no character development. I'm pretty disappointed. The pace slowed around chapter fifteen, and I wanted to read the ending. Honestly, I could skip to the finish without missing anything between chapter fifteen and the end.

This book was deliciously twisted. Everyone has a secret and when the stakes are high enough no one can be trusted. One mother will do WHATEVER it takes to make sure her daughter has the best future ahead of her. Another is scrambling to hide her secrets. Perhaps its true what they say and money really is the root of all evil. Will be recommending this to everyone!

Poppy, Heather and Norah all live in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Their children all attend an elite private school and are all competing for their children to get in the top high schools and Universities. UrbanMyth is an anonymous website for people to post whatever they desire. Everyone uses it to post their secrets…and it was all good until all the secrets were revealed. Everyone has something to hide, including a murder. Between leaked photos, black mailing, scandalous affairs, and a little bit of murder, this is everything you would expect.

As for the characters, none of them are likeable, which is the point. However, there is one good plot twist with Heather’s storyline and Poppy is certainly intriguing as a blue blood personality situated in contemporary times, but Nora could’ve used more fleshed out. A solid 3 star read, the premise was good but too slow to start and finish.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I ended up requesting this book on a whim and it wasn’t until I got to the 75% point of the book that anything remotely interesting happened. This story felt like it had no point to it and could better be summed up in an episode of big little lies.

A solid 3 star read, the premise was good but too slow to start, and I found the actions of the characters to be unbelievable. None of these women can keep it together for the life of them, even those who had nothing to do with the crime. I guess self incrimination is a way to keep the story moving along but it was unrealistic how things played out in the second half.

Gossip Girl did it better than UrbanMyths 🐸☕️

No One Needs to Know follows three mothers of the Upper East Side. Heather, Poppy, and Norah all have children that attend the same private school - and they all frequent UrbanMyths to vent about their lives on the UES.

Between leaked photos, black mailing, scandalous affairs, and a little bit of murder, this is everything you would expect from an UES novel.

After reflecting on the book, I’m confused how it got from Point A to Point B (how did the leaked photo from Doubles end up in murder?). There seemed to be a lot of background and building up (UrbanMyths doesn’t even get hacked until ~65%), and the twist fell flat for me, while the ending felt rushed.

The characters are overwhelmingly unlikeable, but that’s the whole point - you’re not rooting for any of them.

BUT I recommend checking out this book if you’re a fan of books like the Appeal or if you’re into reading about the lives of the 1% on the Upper East Side.

Thank you to NetGalley for letting me get an ARC of No One Needs to Know! Out later this year. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you to Netgalley and Lindsey Cameron for the opportunity to read this early! It’s my first by this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The UES moms trying to get their kids into elite schools while also navigating their personal lives, all while confessing their sins and deepest secrets online makes for a super juicy read! It was like the real housewives and Gossip Girl all rolled into one. Scandalous and juicy. Definitely will recommend this one!

No One Needs to Know but eventually everybody does. And what do they learn? How three Upper East Side mothers, relentlessly pushing their children toward their expected privileged futures, end up mired in bad behavior, blackmail and murder.

Norah’s demanding job leaves her with little time to spend with her daughter Caroline, so her new husband Bennett helps with everyday tasks. Poppy, the Queen Bee of their private school’s social tribe, is married to uber wealthy Harris and mother to Henry, who will, of course, attend Andover and Harvard as his father did. And there is Heather who will do anything to make sure her daughter Violet has a life far different than the one she had before she met Oliver. The required parties for the 8th grade children and their parents, the entrance exams and interviews for boarding school, the constant dieting and the impossibly high standards the women are judged by naturally give rise to anxiety. How to relieve that tension? Why by anonymously posting on UrbanMyth, a site where everyone’s secrets stay buried. Until they don’t.

Run to your nearest bookstore and preorder No One Needs to Know now! Sign up for at it your library. This is a compulsively readable, delicious drama reminiscent of Big Little Lies. Although Norah is the only likable character, you won’t care that the others are incredibly self centered because the fast paced plot of this well written novel will keep you turning pages to see what happens next. There are surprises on every page! Thank you, Lindsay Cameron. 5 stars.

I loved Lindsay Cameron's first thriller, Just One Look, so I was excited to have the opportunity to read her soon to be released No One Needs to Know. Secrets, lies and scandals abound in this compulsively readable page-turner. The overall vibe was a mix of Big Little Lies, Gossip Girl and Real Housewives -- a fast, fun read.

Holy cow! Lindsay Cameron does it again! Loved this domestic thriller. What appears nice and crisp on the outside really dark and dangerous. The crazy lengths parents go to all in the name of their children. Great read. Highly recommend

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
Boy did this make the people on the upper east side look like an interesting and secretive bunch.
What will someone do just to keep their child in their private school and get them into a private boarding school and then Ivy League college? Read and find out.
Then throw in this “secret” forum that ends up not being all that secret.
Not a bad book but not my favorite either.
