Book 6 in the Slayers Hockey series and it was a great addition. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone and feature couples that will have you falling in love. Stormy and Liam decided to get married for the convenience so they can steer away from the real life of true marriage. This was a fun read. I really enjoyed watching them go from what they thought was a fake relationship and realize that this is what they always wanted. The chemistry and attraction between them was so good to read. Mira always has a way of bringing characters to life and make you feel like you are there witnessing their story in person

Dirty Groom is the sixth book in Mira Lyn Kelly’s Hockey Romance series, following the story of Liam & Stormy.
One night in Vegas two broken hearted strangers find each other and make a plan, Get married, and get lost. Never see each other again, keeping themselves and each other from ever feeling that heart break again. This plan is perfect, until Liam finds Stormy in an airport and chases her down. His plan is to fix their mistakes, but when their lives begin to blend together in a unexpected way, neither of them can stay away from each other physically or emotionally.

This is my first read by Mira Lyn Kelly & it most definitely wont be my last. I plan to read the rest of the Slayer’s Hockey series, I thought this was a good read, I don’t know if I would have picked this for myself if it was not on NetGalley, but this one was pretty good. I don’t think this specific couple has killer chemistry in my opinion, nothing really jumped out at me. I felt like there was a lack of Hockey in this book, but I also have not read the rest of the series so I am not sure if it was just me or if it is this book.

I think that even with the negative points I think this was a decent read

I love Ms Kelly's books! This story takes place in Vegas, a common happening of an unexpected wedding between two unlikely protagonists. The story was so well plotted and I really enjoyed the reader. You cannot go wrong with this book.
Thanks to NetGalley for providing this copy. The review herein is solely my own opinion.

🔥🔥🔥. This was the first steamy romance I’ve listened to opposed to reading a hard copy. At first I was like Ou? 😬 then I was like OUU ! It was hot. Interesting plot line. Ending was meh.

What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas. This power couple turns up the steam in this Hockey Team based Book. Two people who never mean to be fight hard to not be drawn to one another. She’s a stubborn, successful heartbroken businesswoman and he’s an emotionally messy, closed off hockey player. They will fast become your favorite couple routing for them to figure out they love each other and need to stop talking about a divorce.
The narrators did a decent job. The man’s voice in the audiobook version made Liam sound like a sleezball. I would have liked to hear his inner monologue differently. Overall a good read and listen. I received a free Audiobook via NetGalley for my honest reviews

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. This story was okay, I didn't really like the main characters and their chemistry just didn't hit the mark for me

Same page? This story was great! I loved Liam and Stormie together so much. When two broken hearts meet in Vegas and decide to get married but with no personal information given, what could go wrong? I love fake dating tropes and seeing how they eventually fall for each other and get to the happy ending.
The narration was great and I will definitely recommend this to friends.
Thank you netgalley and Dreamscape media for this audio arc in return for an honest review.

OMG!! This is one hot book.

It was supposed to be Storm’s wedding day, until she saw her fiancé with his arms around another woman. Marriage should prevent Liam from ever falling in love. Sounds like a win-win.
Two Strangers in a bar in Las Vegas decide to get married then go about their life. Sounds like a good idea….NO! They wrote a prenup on a napkin and had a marriage ceremony. The marriage was not consummated on their wedding night.
One year later Stormy and Liam meet, sober this time, there is an instant connection between the couple. I was fun to watch them grow from married strangers to friends to a truly married couple. This is one hot book. Great writing!

🎧🎧 AUDIO REVIEW ONLY🎧🎧

PERFORMANCE REVIEW: Narrated by Savannah Peachwood & Wayne Mitchell

Savannah Peachwood is always a #win for me, well done!

Ya’ll … Wayne Mitchell attempting a female voice is #crylaugh material with a huge dullop of #cringe #sendhelp *rapid blinking* Either no one listened to this audio before they pressed publish or whomever it was is seriously tonedeaf, in my opinion that is #yikes

So, obviously this audio did not work for me, but I did make it all the way to 28% before I ripped my ipods out, so there’s that *shrug*

HOWEVER, see my review HERE for the greatness that is this story! I’m just happy I read it before I listened to it! LOL

Dirty Groom is the sixth romance in the Slayers Hockey series and has the perfect mix of fake marriage, love and divorce. When Stormy and Liam see each other, after a year of no contact, things develop between them quickly and the once strategic marriage could become more.

I loved this book from the first page! The characters are enjoyable, the romance is steamy and the whole marriage storyline was very well done. I am a huge fan of sports romances, especially hockey, which made this book that much better. I really did enjoy this book and found it hard to put down. I would definitely recommend this to sports romance fans! This was a great read!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the audiobook version of this book!

This book has a sweet quality which pulls at your heart. It was heartfelt the interaction between Liam and Stormy. Basically, they get married in Vegas and go their separate ways. One year later, they meet again and plan to divorce. However, life, family, and friends get in the way. I love the hockey, supportive family, and friends. It is an easy flowing book. They make a good couple and have a great connection. This book was good -sweet hockey romance. It pulls at your heart strings. The slight drawback is the narration. Both narrators are good in their male and female voices. Savannah Peachwood has a beautiful voice. However, when Wayne Mitchell uses a female voice - it is horrible and twangy. But when he is speaking as himself – awesome, male voice smooth like smokey whiskey. This is book 5 but I will be looking into the whole series. It can be a stand-alone book or read in the series. I will look forward to reading next in series as I go back and read the 1st in this series. I would recommend this book and the author.

This was a fun novella! I really liked Liam and stormis chemistry and thought it was so fun to watch them navigate their fake marriage to see if there was more. I didn’t know this was a series and can’t wait to read the rest of it !!

I want to thank the publishers and Netgalley for the opportunity to listen to this ARC audiobook.

This was a 4/5 star for me and just what I needed.

This book follows Stormi, and Liam after a quick marriage in Vegas, and a the vows to never fall in love.

I really enjoyed the story line. It seems a little grumpy/sunshine to me, and the fake dating troupe was fun. I personally feel like Liam is close to the perfect heroin.

There is some obvious miscommunication, but nothing over the edge that would make it annoying. I think the only that that did bother me a little was Liam did have a savior complex at times. He wanted to save Stormi from getting hurt when he never really took into consideration that she is pretty strong.

Overall there was a decent amount of smut but maybe not as much as I was expecting. I enjoyed that though, as it gave the book time to focus on the plot which I felt was well thought out. The smut that was in there was enjoyable but if you are looking for something that is more "hardcore" this might not be for you.

I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a quick but enjoyable read. Anyone that like the sport/hockey character, or someone that likes the marriage of convivence troupe.

I tried. I really really tried but the male narrator was TERRIBLE.

There was no way I would have been able to enjoy this story with this narrator.

I had to warm up to this one, but once I did I really enjoyed it. I haven’t read a ton of fake marriage or real but fake marriage tropes so it was unique and I liked that. Loved the characters and how they fit together so well.

"This is the thing I didn't know I was missing."

Stormy and Liam met at a Vegas bar, both trying to escape breakups and betrayals and wanting to forget everything that had brought them there. Strangers with an instant connection, they impulsively got married in Vegas and after one night, Stormy disappeared.

"I didn't want to give the guy who seemed perfect the chance to show me he wasn't."

After a year of unsuccessfully trying not to think about each other, yet still married, they met again in Chicago and decided to pursue a fake relationship with a finite end. Adding in sex to avoid lonely nights, they set boundaries and tried to keep any feelings out of it. But what would happen when their fake relationship inevitably started to feel real?

"Maybe I should feel guilty. I definitely shouldn't like it."

I loved how Stormy and Liam blurred the lines between real and fake, friends with benefits to falling in love. I loved Liam's dark intensity and how he perfectly complemented Stormy, fitting together like pieces of a puzzle. Liam had always been more comfortable alone, keeping his distance from his teammates, and I loved how Stormy broke down his walls. I would have liked to see less anger in Liam's demeanor but I liked how protective he was of Stormy and how she added such a calming presence in his life.

"Are we still on the same page?"

What could have been a slippery slope brought out so many beautiful emotions instead. Stormy and Liam gave each other their hearts, finding their forever but knowing they would have to give everything back. I loved Liam's loyalty to his fake marriage as they exposed each other's vulnerabilities, opening their hearts and finding the trust between them.

"I want more. I want it all."

The third act breakup brought me to tears as their fears and insecurities rose to the surface. I wanted nothing more than for Stormy and Liam to find the HEA that they both truly deserved. Love and understanding, as well as the importance of family, added to the story, everything coming full circle and ending with a sweet and beautiful epilogue.

"The only thing I need from you is you."

I listened to the audiobook and thought Savannah Peachwood and Wayne Mitchell captured the essence of the couple's personalities perfectly. I listened to Savannah at 1.25x and Wayne at 1.5x, and I occasionally couldn't distinguish thoughts from speech, but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the narration. The narrators brought emotion and believability into the story, filling it with a beautiful mix of steam and heart.

What do you do when you find your fiancé doing someone else the night before your wedding? Run to Vegas, drunk marry a stranger and then disappear on them of course! Funny, sexy, steamy, heart breaking, swoon worthy and so many words describe this book that I don't know which to start with! Fun characters that are relatable and connect you to the story while laughing, crying, growling and swooning your way through the narration! The dual narration helps bring the characters to life and has me looking forward to listening to more from this author. I'm not much of a sports fan and don't know much about the game of hockey, but I will definitely be going to the beginning of this series and listening my way through the entire series! I will say that you may want to find a fan to sit in front of while listening as this one will have your blood warming up, but the happily ever after will have you smiling in delight!

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Stormy and Liam are both in Vegas trying to forget something that just happened to them and they end up getting married with the intention of never seeing each other again and not even knowing the other's real name. Just a marriage of convenience.

Fast forward a year when Liam sees Stormy and follows her home to get the real scoop and the ball rolling on their divorce. Anyway, as it happens...feelings and then the past tries to come back and bite them in the butts. It all works out but the ride is a good one! The love and friendship that develop are more than a solid foundation and the miscommunication and secrets kept to save feelings are a test.

This was a good one and I would definitely check out the rest of the Slayers Hockey series.

Side note...Wayne Mitchell should NEVER EVER EVER do another female voice.

This is my first book by Mira Lynn Kelly and will definitely not be my last!

Stormy and Liam get married in Vegas, as you do, after only knowing each other for hours. They adds both struggling in their love life and decided to just take the dive. They would always have this marriage, even if they wouldn’t be together.

A year later Liam finds Stormy and they start to get to know each other for real. To appease their families and stop them from butting into their live life, they decide to stay married for 2 years and fake it. During that time, they both fall harder and deeper in love with each other.

Liam has a terrible ex girlfriend who is threatening their relationship. Will they be able to withstand his ex or will they need to move up their divorce by a couple of years?

This couple was absolutely adorable and I loved how they did everything backwards. We got to see and feel them fall in love while they were already married.
