I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version.
I like the narrator, but this was just an okay story. It was a typical Hallmark style story plot. It was an okay story plot. It was a bit unrealistic. I have no idea in this time and age how a grown woman who has been married for 15 years has never ever had cotton candy? And acted like she has never even seen how to eat it or the texture or that is instantly melts in your mouth? Also how is it that the plot which I saw a mile away. How is it that she not only made the logo for the main characters family business and also it was her brother that killed his wife and child in a car accident. (Eye roll) it was just a pass for me.
Also how is it that these people that are in their 30's absolutely cannot stand change and upset that his niece and nephew got the opportunity to host a country singers wedding (who are celebrities). Saying that they don't need that kind of business etc. Just so stupid. That is absolutely fantastic for their business and will bring more business in.

I didn't get this downloaded before it was archived. I'm sure I would have loved it as I have enjoyed Nancy Naigle's other books.

This wasn't for me. It had the feeling of a Hallmark movie. The plot twist at the end wasn't much of a shocker and I felt the dread of the build up from the first chapter.

A heartwarmingly cute second chance romance. This read exactly like a cute Hallmark movie, in fact, I can totally see this being made into a Hallmark movie. Throw a cowboy in and it's perfect!

Please note, this is a closed door romance, there was next to no spice.

I enjoyed the narrator, I thought she did a great job and added to the story.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lorri Walker knew that her marriage wasn't perfect, but when her husband gave her a puppy for Valentine's Day, she thought they were going to try and make it work. Six months later, she and her mastiff, Mister were left behind when he left her for the dog trainer. Lorri knew she needed to make a change and move on, so she moved to Dalton Mill, where she could work from home and start over. It was just going to be for a year, but things change. Lorri meets Ryder Bolt, her neighbour, who is grieving the death of his wife and son, killed by a drunk driver seven years earlier. He helps his niece and nephew run "The Wedding Ranch" which is where he met Lorri. The more time they spend together, the more they care about each other, until Lorri realizes that there is something between them that Ryder will never be able to forgive.

This was a lovely Nancy Naigle romance. The setting of the small town, the farm, and the summer all bring that romance to the forefront. Both Lorri and Ryder are great characters. They are both dealing with some emotional scars, but if they let it, they can heal each other. I liked that they are both artistic and how those talents help them heal. All the characters add to the story and support each other. The addition of Mister, Lorri's mastiff, was great. He is always around adding fun to the story and was also instrumental in Lorri's healing. There is a twist that causes some angst in the story, which I hadn't suspected, but it wasn't surprising either. This is a story of healing, forgiveness, grief, family and above all else, LOVE. I can definitely see this one being made into a Hallmark movie, it would be perfect. If you enjoy a sweet romance, with a delightful cast of characters and a charming dog, then pick up The Wedding Ranch. I did a read/listen with this book and enjoyed the narration by Lisa Larsen. I found it more of a reading of the book, rather than with voices, but it was easy to listen to and I did enjoy both formats.

Eh.

That’s basically how I feel about this book. Not really that great and not really awful. Just middle of the road. A bit predictable but enjoyable.

3.5 out of 5

This book is a feel good story with all the feels. It was like reading an emotional roller coaster. Sadness, happiness, excitement are just some of the emotions I felt while reading this book.
The story of Lorri and Ryder is one you will want to read. Lorri is recently divorced and Ryder lost his family in a tragic accident. This is a great small town romance that will keep you reading until the end.

This audiobook was provide to me by NetGalley and Dreamscape. Thank you.

I did not finish this book as I can not see a character being married for 15 years and being OK shortly after learning of her husband's affair. Giving 3 stars for a fair rating because I did not finish it. I won't review elsewhere.

“When Lorri Walker’s husband gifted her with a mastiff puppy on Valentine’s Day, she believed he was recommitting himself to their marriage after going astray. Six months later, he left both her and their dog for someone else. Since her recent move to Dalton Mill to unbraid herself from the past, Lorri’s graphic design business is now flourishing, her growing mastiff, Mister, has plenty of space to romp, and her ex in Raleigh can fade to a distant memory.

Ryder Bolt is haunted by the tragic loss of his wife and young son seven years ago. Thankfully, ranching keeps Ryder busy, and spending time with his niece and nephew―whose venue, The Wedding Ranch, has become a popular tourist destination―keeps him from getting lonely.

When Lorri and Ryder met, love was the last thing they were looking for. When they’re together, smiles come easier and burdens feel lighter, and both are embracing the possibility of something deeper.

But when a long-buried revelation surfaces, the fate that brought them together threatens to tear them apart.”

**What I loved about this book:
I really enjoyed this book! It was interesting to see how the main characters somewhat resisted their relationship as it developed. The story really focused on forgiveness and how people can move beyond their hurt.

Read if you like:
*second chances
*strangers to lovers
*slow burn
*closed door romance
*a story about healing and forgiveness

I’m desperately trying to get caught up with reviews from last year!!

I love a small-town romance and this novel was that and more! I really enjoyed getting to know the characters in this heart-warming second chance, friends to lovers’ romance!!

Two people with emotional scars trying to leave their past behind and begin again. Neither wants a relationship, but the attraction between them is too strong to deny!

🎧The Narrator, Lisa Larson, did a fantastic job. The voice transition between the two MC was very smooth and the softness of her voice seemed to go along with this story perfectly.

I highly recommend this to anyone that is a Hallmark movie fan. I can see this playing out on the TV screen easily. Oh, and did I mention that there is a 180-pound cuddly mastiff dog named Mister that steals the show!!

Lori gets two surprises from her husband. The first is he wants a divorce and the second a huge dog for Valentine's day. The dog was the best thing he ever did for her. She uses this opportunity to reinvent herself and start over. She starts by selling her house and buys the cutest cottage on 5 acres of land. Perfect for her and her dog. In her new town she meets all her neighbors and lots of the townfolk including Ryder. He seems a little reserved. It doesn't take long to learn that his wife and son died in an accident. There are a few twist and turns along the way. YOu will have to tune in to see if they live happily ever after or if the memory of his late wife keeps him from finding love again. I really hope there is a second book that gives us another look of Lori, Ryder and Mr, the mastiff.

The Wedding Ranch, by Nancy Naigle, is an absolutely delightful, uplifting, refreshing story. This charming story has an enviable small town setting, a sweet, second chance love story of sorts, and it covers the topics of overcoming heartbreak and setbacks of various kinds and finding your own true self and calling in life. This story has a lovely faith element, which was especially inspiring and a satisfying conclusion.

This novel is narrated by Lisa Larsen and her voice perfectly encapsulates the characters and helps set the mood and tone of the story. She has a clear, well-chosen voice that truly brings the novel to life!

This is an easy five-start read for me. I loved this heart-warming story and look forward to more from this author.

The Wedding Ranch was a second chance at love story and truly a heartwarming story. I enjoyed this romance and will seek out other books by this author.

I received this audiobook from netgalley for an honest review.

I loved this story. The romance was second to the friendship, but it was just what the characters needed. I loved the side characters too. It was so sad how he was in a block from his wife and son's death but completely believable. She was getting over her own heartbreak but nothing as serious except for her brother. Oh that twist!

"Why is it that the promises to herself were the easiest to break."

On Valentine's Day Lorri's husband gives her a huge Mastiff puppy she names Mister because with his size you better respect him. Six months later the husband has left her for a woman with a tiny Yorkie but at least Mister is loyal in the thought provoking yet often funny The Wedding Ranch by consummate romance author Nancy Naigle.

Narrator Lisa Larsen beautifully brings Lorri and Ryder's story to life in this slow burn romance. Ryder is a loner since the tragic death of his wife and son. When Lorri and Ryder attend a wedding at The Wedding Ranch sparks fly but a twisty connection they unknowningly share may keep this couple from getting the love they deserve with one another.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Dreamscape Media via #NetGalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced audio copy of this book!

This story is a cowboy, small town, romance. It was a slower build and a closed door book.

Overall I really enjoyed it! It did take me a while at the start to get into the story and to connect with the characters, so I want to emphasize the slow build. I didn't want to finish it at first, but once I got further along and hit the big twist, it changed the whole pace for me. It roped me in and kept my attention.

This story was very wholesome and refreshing. I am really glad I gave it a chance and read it!

This was a wonderful book. I wasn't sure if it was going to be to sappy sweet. but i was wrong. it was snarky and smart and lovely. I'm so in love with these characters.

Lorrie moves to a small town outside of Raleigh after a surprise divorce. She accidently runs into Ryder -- he saves her from being run over by a wayward steer at a county fair -- who is still mourning his wife and young son, 7 years after they were killed by a drunk driver. The story is sort of predictable, with a big twist that didn't really become apparent (to me, at least!) until just before it happened. But it's a great second-chance-at-love story. The narrator did a great job as well, complete with southern accents.

Thanks for the early chance to listen
