Miss matched is about Simon and Tayla who had a bad break up 6 years ago. They find their way back to each other through a match making company that Tayla put her whole life savings into so she could find her forever person. When she gets her match it comes up as he ex boyfriend who broke her heart 6 years prior.
Tayla has not yet forgiven Simon for breaking her heart.
But Simon is not the same person he was 6 years ago, he realized how much he screwed up their relationship and how much he wants her back. I did think Simon was slightly immature at times in the book but I did find their banter and chemistry to be great.
This is a second chance rom com with dual POV.
I did think this was between a 3 1/2-4 star book! I really did enjoy it and would probably pick up more books by this author!

Tayla and Simon, former fiancés, experienced a devastating breakup six years ago. However, fate intervenes as a matchmaking company pairs them together once again. As they embark on this unexpected journey, they must confront their unresolved emotions, navigate through a web of lies, secrets, and past hurts, all while reconnecting in the present. Their intricate relationship is characterized by deep angst, aching desire, and an undeniable chemistry that sizzles. Simon, desperate to regain Tayla's trust, undergoes personal growth and becomes a steadfast supporter of her dreams. Though they both harbor some concealed truths, their second-chance love story unfolds with heartwarming, passionate, and seductive moments. This contemporary romance promises an enjoyable ride, conveying important messages along the way. A wonderful 4 star recommendation!

I saw someone on instagram post the cover of this book and it looked sooo stinking cute that I immediately went and requested it on here to read without even reading the synopsis. However, once I got into the book and discovered it was a second chance romance, I knew it was going to be a good one! I thought this was such a cute book and I absolutely loved the characters. Their banter just sucked me in and made it such an enjoyable read. I also loved that the book had dual POV so you could get inside each of the characters heads a bit more to understand them and what they are thinking. Overall, loved this book and would definitely recommend it if you are searching for a fun romance!

This review will be posted to my Instagram blog (read_betweenthecovers) in the near future!

I’d had this book on my radar for months so when I finally received the ARC my excitement was unreal!

The tropes made up for the perfect romance read so I knew for a fact I would enjoy it. F***ing Simon is the perfect book boyfriend! Annoying at first, but an absolute sweetheart once you get to know him! Tayla on the other hand, is a typical millennial searching for true love while navigating through life. At first the storyline seemed predictable but it quickly turned around and had me hooked. I loved how Simon kept fighting for Tayla, while also messing it up (it made his character more relatable and real) Their chemistry, the banter, ups and downs through the years and their perfect personalities made them one of my most fav book couples. Simon’s struggle with honestly and his undying love for Tayla made me tear up at one point… what I’d do to have someone like him!

If you’re looking for a read that’s sweet and steamy with a sprinkle of emotional turmoil, THIS.ONES.FOR.YOUR!

I am a sucker for a second chance romance, and Miss Matched did not disappoint.

I mean, who wants to pay good money after bad and end up matched with the one they thought was it years ago?

This is Tayla's dilemma. I like how she didn't just fall at his feet, I am glad she pushed him for answers as to why. But I also liked how she gave it a go,

Though the Soulmates Reunited thing annoyed me, as it spent too much time as the focus of our lovelies. Yeah, I get why it was there, but it needed to be shot out of the way earlier IMO

Overall, an enjoyable read

I really liked this one! I am a big fan of second chance romance when the redemption arc is there and this book totally delivered! I loved all of the groveling and I appreciated that Tayla didn't make things easy for Simon. I loved how hard Simon was willing to work to win Tayla back. I loved the ending and thought it was the perfect way to wrap up their story! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good second chance romance!

A dating company that can match you with your one true soulmate? It sounds like a pretty good deal, and after many failed relationships, Tayla is ready to give Soulmates Reunited a chance and find her happily ever after. The only problem is she already knows her match. In fact, they had already dated six years ago, and things did not end well. While on a romantic dinner date that should have ended with a proposal, Tayla was broken up with instead.

Ending things with Tayla was Simon’s biggest regret. So when he receives an email from Soulmates Reunited telling him they’ve matched, he is ready to jump at a second chance for love with her, but will Tayla be able to open her heart back up to Simon?

This book was so cute, and I overall really enjoyed it! It held my interest from start to finish, and it was a pretty quick read because I couldn’t put it down! I love a good second chance romance storyline, and the banter between Tayla and Simon had me laughing at times. Both main characters were extremely likable, and there was just enough spice for me. I highly recommend checking out this book if you’re looking for a fun, summer romance!

This is such a beautiful story!
I have to mention from the start that this is my first book by Wendy and I was impressed with her writing. The way she constructed the book, the way she presented each character, the storyline, everything was flawless.
The book has flow, it is funny and romantic and a little spicy and it conquers your heart within the first chapters. I love all the furry characters that help the characters follow their path to HEA.
This is the story of Tayla and Simon. This is their second chance. The one last chance for Simon to prove that she is the love of his life, to grovel and find the courage to atone for his past mistakes.
I loved every second of this book and I will definitely read others by this author. Wendy established herself with one book in my go to writers list.

This was such a fun read. I'd say it really struck the right balance between spicy, sweet and smart which is a rare combo (or at least rarely done Right!).

I enjoyed the inclusion of our MCs STEM careers, their past dating and personal histories and their current challenges and development.

A second chance romance that she doesn't want to pursue, but since she's just spent her savings on a soul matching service, Tayla has to pursue whatever this might be with Simon - the ex who left her just minutes shy of an engagement. Although second-chance isn't my favourite trope I enjoyed the dose of enemies to lovers and the heat that this relationship had.

Tayla Murphy is looking for love. Up until now she has been unsuccessful in finding a connection with any man since one heart-wrenching night, six years ago, when everything ended with Simon, the man she thought she would marry. Now Tayla is taking her love life into her own hands and investing in the matchmaking services of "Soulmates Reunited", but little does she know, her match will be heart-breaker Simon, who will rise from the ashes of the past and ask for a second chance.

I had a wonderful time with these characters and their journey. The past brought some nice tension to their present day interactions and the story had me gripped in how this would all play out.

Simon made mistakes in the past. He admits to his mistakes (some sooner than others), and will do whatever it takes to have Tayla back in his life. I believed his reasons for separating from Tayla six years ago were plausible and that his intentions to woo her back were noble. Was he a perfect man? No. But, the author convinced me that he and Tayla were both willing to grow: him as a better communicator, and Tayla in her trust that he will not pick up and leave her again.

I did bring my rating down one star due to some aspects of the will they won't they stretching a little too long. I also felt that their confrontation with the matchmaking company did not add to the story. Those were my only qualms with this book.

Overall, this is a story with a hero who seeks redemption for the past (and is shamelessly heads-over-heels for the heroine), and a heroine who does not jump and give in to a second chance without considering what she wants for her life. I found this to be a refreshing, notable, and well crafted second chance romance.

I read and reviewed an advanced eARC of this book thanks to Wattpad Webtoon Book Group via NetGalley. All honest opinions are my own.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for an ARC of Miss Matched in exchange for my honest review!

Miss Matched was such a hit! If you are looking for angst look no further, a second chance romance you can root for this is your book, epic groveling that will pull at your heart strings it is all right here.

It has been six years since Tayla & Simon broke up. Tayla never understood what went wrong when everything seemed perfect. Her fears and insecurities have held her back from really giving anyone a chance again. With all of her savings she is determined to give love a try by using a ground breaking matching service to find her "soulmate". What could possibly go wrong? When matched with Simon the one who broke her heart so completely she is furious. Here the fun begins when Simon comes back into her life determined to use this opportunity to get Tayla back. He is relentless in his pursue of her heart and proving himself. There were moments when I laughed and moments when my heart broke right along with Tayla & Simon. I love a story that takes me through a full range of emotions. I loved how Tayla made him work for it. There was no easy fix here and you could really feel the internal struggle of the characters and the desperate longing of their hearts. Also to note the best friends in this book were stellar. Everyone needs that one person in there life that will tell them the ugly truth even when they don't want to hear it. Can't wait to read more by Wendy Million in the future. Loved it!

A fun second chances rom com with a theme of communication. If you don't communicate well, you leave the door open for misunderstandings that lead to fissures that allow others to crack those fissures open to something bigger. What should you do when you realize that you were stupid and let the best thing of your life slip through your fingers? Apparently for Simon, you should compound the problem by lies and omissions. Fun banter, great characters and a giggle inducing plot will entertain you for hours! Overall, an enjoyable read!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I love a good romance, and in the age of dating apps, this is where romance is heading. I, however, dislike the idea of someone using their savings to find love. It rings desperate and not romantic.

The boom is well written and cute, I think I may be too jaded to get into the plot.

Six years after being dumped on the night she was supposed to get engaged, Tayla Murphy has decided it’s finally time she found her ideal partner, so she pays a hefty fee for a cutting-edge “soulmate” matching service. But the infallible algorithm must have a serious glitch, because it pairs her with the one man on Earth she never wants to see again: Simon―the man who left her heart in pieces when he broke off their engagement all those years ago. Tayla is not interested in reconnecting with Simon but if she’s going to move forward with her life, she needs the money back.

Then Simon shows up on her doorstep, promising Tayla he can get her a refund by showing the service that the match was wrong. They still have an amazing connection, but a lot has happened in the time they were apart. So is this a mismatch or a perfect match?

My thoughts:
This was my first book by @million.wendy and I really enjoyed it! The characters were lovable and the story was pertinent to the dating app world of today. I enjoyed watching Simon and Tayla reconnect and figure out what went wrong all those years ago and I liked that Simon was truly invested in making things work with Tayla this time around.

There was one little plot holes (for lack of a better word) that prevented me from giving this book more than 4 stars: I felt that the plot line involving the matchmaking service catching Simon and Tayla together was incomplete and I really thought there might be a plot twist at the end that would have bumped things up a notch. Then things fizzled out quickly and were rather anticlimactic. A bit of a disappointment for me.

But in the end I’m such a sucker for a HEA so this didn’t disappoint! This was a quick, lighthearted read with some true-to-life aspects that made the plot and characters really relatable. I recommend snatching this one up!

Thank you to NetGalley and Wattpad for the digital copy.

Six years ago Simon smashed Tayla’s heart to smithereens.
Now, she just paid a chunk of money to a match makers service to discover he is her soul mate. Simon, desperate to get her back, persuades her to accept a deal.
It’s a cute second chance at romance book. I just wasn’t sold on Simon. I thought he was easily led and not the best suited for Tayla.
But the heart wants what the heart wants.

Another great Canadian author - I read one of her Bellerive Royals books (as W. Million) last year and fell for her writing. I'm always happy to add another Canadian author to my list of favourite authors, so when I saw her ARC come up for the release of her next book, I was very excited to receive it!

I really enjoyed Miss Matched - a solid 4-star read for me. It wasn't what I was expecting but that is in the best way! It was slightly like Christina Lauren's Soulmate Equation at the start (the premise with the specialized dating service and the soulmate promise), and the first third of it was seeming to be a lighthearted Rom Com, but then it took a turn and got fairly serious and emotional straight through until the end.

Tayla flies from Grand Rapids to NYC and spends her entire life savings to a specialized company where you fill in an intense questionnaire to determine who your soulmate is - you only get one match from millions in the database. She'd been single a long time and dumped by the one she thought was going to be her "forever" about 6 years before. She was crushed by finally ready to try again and get married, after watching her best friend rely on this company, find her Soulmate and live happily ever after. Once all is done, the name that comes up as her "One" is none other than the heartbreaker - the system must be broken. They won't give her a second match. They won't give her a refund. There's nothing to be done unless he doesn't respond to her after the required 1 month communication period.

Simon ("f-ing Simon" as she and her friends had named him) comes across the email in his junk folder by accident, and shows up at her work a week later. Decides he needs a second chance with Tayla because she is the one that got away - because this company, among other outside sources, got into his head and instead of proposing to her that night 6 years ago, he broke up with her and Soulmates Reunited forced him to destroy his life and date another woman who they promised was his soulmate. He never signed up for this dating service so why were they meddling? Surely now can he finally take them down for ruining his life...

This one was partly lighthearted and then got quite heavy - be prepared going in for some big emotions, but it was very enjoyable! If you liked Christina Lauren's The Soulmate Equation and True Love Experiment, you will also love this one like I did! I definitely recommend it - if you haven't read Wendy Million (or W Million) before, you will absolutely want to pick this up!

I received an advance copy from NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group (W by Wattpad Books), and this is my honest review.

As a fan of Christina Lauren's The Soulmate Equation - I was excited when I read the description for Miss Matched by Wendy Million. And I was not disappointed. I read this book so quickly! It was definitely an emotional rollercoaster - but the banter and chemistry between Tayla and Simon was excellent. It is easy to become invested and want to see this couple through to the end. This was a great second chance romance - definitely recommend. Many thanks to Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, W by Wattpad Books and NetGalley for the chance to read this novel.

Miss Matched is a fun read, and I was hooked from the first chapter. And dare I say, one I would love to see adapted! While the story is told using dual POV, it is easy to understand which character we were with as the chapters were labeled.

The first third of the books is relatively PG, with some hand holding and kissing with one word swear word being used a few time. But once Tayla and Simon get to the bedroom, all bets are off. While the scenes are rather steamy, they are brief overall and only occur a few times in the book.

I enjoyed the fact that Tayla and Simon are both in careers that could be considered outside of the gender -norm. Tayla is a veterinarian and Simon is an ER nurse. Yes, I know there are many females that are vets and males that are nurses, but they aren't careers that are normally considered for their gender. There are a few scenes set in their respected workplaces as well.

The story is a romantic comedy, but there are also some serious parts. There are discussions of healthy relationships and mental health. How does one handled the ending of a long-term relationship? Or rejection?

Overall, Miss Matched is a fun read that I feel most people will connect with.

I really enjoyed this book! Tayla Murphy is ready to find her ‘one and only’ love. Soulmates Reunited say they can find that person; for a fee. However, when Tayla signs up they match her with the one man she doesn’t want to see ever again. Simon has never signed up for this service and yet he has been matched four times making him the ‘one’ to all of these women. But he has never been interested until he is matched with his ex Tayla!

This story is fun and interesting, keeping me engaged throughout. I loved the characters and enjoyed the love story. The concept was original providing all of the things you want from a rom com. All of this left me reading late into the night. I suggest you follow my lead and give it a read!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Whattpad Webtoon Book Group for the opportunity to read this arc for an honest review.

I am a huge fan of second chance romance and I enjoyed Miss Matched. I loved the unique premise to this book and found myself wrapped up in Tayla and Simon's story. It's obvious these two belong together; the chemistry between them in undeniable.

Overall, this was a cute and fun contemporary romance and, although it was my first book by Wendy Million, it will not be my last.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for gifting me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
