I’m a sucker for a second-chance romance. I do usually hate the miscommunication and want to shake the party who’s holding back and yell, “Just tell her/him the truth already!” But all that pain and yearning makes for an oh-so-satisfying HEA in this engaging story by Wendy Million. The chemistry is there, folks, and only Simon could be Tayla’s soulmate. If you’re looking for a swoon-worthy beach read, this one’s for you.

OMG the cries I cried reading this book! I absolutely LOVED it.

Tayla and Simon are about to be engaged when Simon just breaks it all off. What the heck happened?! Tayla doesn't know, but she does know that Simon immediately started seeing someone else. Now six years later she's ready to give love one last try so she signs up for Soulmates Reunited, a service her best friend used successfully, but when Tayla is matched with Simon she can't imagine anything could be worse!

This was a roller coaster. Second chance romance perfection.

The only thing I wasn't happy with was the lack of consequences for the company, even if the outcome is the reality, I didn't like it.

When I read the description I knew I had to read this book, a second chance romance with the man needing to heavily grovel? I was sold right away.

I liked the concept of soulmates and how the idea can be used against people as well as in their favor.

Is this story predictable? Yes. The entire time reading this book I knew exactly where the big fight would happen and I still enjoined it.

Before we get started, let me begin disclose that “second chance romance” is not my favorite trope. It was an uphill battle, and hard for me to get into.
Once I got past it though the book was enjoyable enough, if you’re a fan of miscommunication. 3.5 stars ⭐️ but I’ll round to 4 I guess. Although, it did take my mood reading ass 4 months to get into…

Miss Matched is a 2nd chance romance that alternates between the points of view of the two main characters, Tayla and Simon. The premise: about six years ago, the two had a bad breakup after dating for a couple years. You can imagine Tayla’s shock when she uses an expensive dating service to find her soulmate, only to be matched with Simon.

Overall, this book was a fairly quick read that flowed well, but there were certain aspects of the story that just didn’t seem very believable, which is why I didn’t like it as much as I could have. From the beginning, the dating service seemed like a bit of a farse. Only women can use it, and it costs as much as a down payment on a house? Over the course of the book, we learn other shady things about the company, yet somehow all of this has managed to stay quiet for years? I also found the full story about Tayla and Simon’s original breakup, which is revealed gradually, seemed a bit too uncharacteristic for a couple who was supposedly so close.

I honestly thought Simon was a bit of a jerk, especially at the beginning of the book. He did eventually grow on me more though. One thing I noticed was that the “voice” between Tayla and Simon’s points of view felt too similar, and sometimes I even had to remind myself which character I was following.

Despite my complaints, I found this to be an easy read that kept my attention, and I really enjoyed the ending. While this book didn’t turn out to be a favorite for me, I’d be willing to read more books by this author in the future.

I had a lot of fun reading Miss Matched by Wendy Million.

It hooked me and kept me turning pages until I was done.
Finished it in two days! The character development was strong, and the premise was engaging enough to where I found myself binge reading. A great romance with an interesting storyline.
A fun and sweet second chance romance with characters who are so easy to connect with and feel so real.

Tayla is desperate to find her soulmate and even though she doesn't have a lot of money she spends it on a site that promises to find her soulmate. Her soulmate turns out to be her ex for 6 years ago, Simon. Tayla wants a refund because how could this be right? Simon is thrilled to have a second chance with Tayla after breaking up with her, but can she move past their break up?

This story reminded me of The Soulmate Equation but it wasn't as good. The storyline felt predictable and it didn't add anything new to the genre. Nothing really stood out to me as being great. The structure of the text really bothered me too and was something that distracted me the entire time I was reading.

I don't mind second chance romances and have been enjoying it lately but I could not get passed the miscommunication. It was so blatan that they needed to just talk to each other and work through their issues and I found myself getting frustrated while reading this.

The premise was good, and the first few chapters hooked me however, as the book continued, it slowly lost my interest. Simon seemed to frustrate me more than normal MMC, and the miscommunication drove me crazy. I’m never a fan of giving a character multiple chances throughout the book.
Additionally, it felt like the book was longer than it should have been and focused more on the annoyance of the matchmaking site rather than the character's love story. I enjoyed the lengths Simon went through to regain Tayla’s trust, chemistry, and development, but his excuses for why he left Tayla still frustrated me. In all, felt like the book was trying to be The Soulmate Equation gone wrong, but the read just wasn’t for me.

A cute semi steamy contemporary romance about the idea of soul mates and if there's only one chance at love.

The story involves an expensive matchmaking service, one that Tayla cannot afford, but is desperate to use. Tayla is shocked when she learns that the matchmaking service matched her with her ex - the ex that broke her heart and the one she's never been able to get over. If you enjoy second chance romance, miscommunication, and dogs, this one is for you. I got halfway through the book and couldn't read any longer. The story fell flat and I struggled to like the characters. There were a lot of great reviews for this book so I wouldn't let my review deter you.

Wattpad books are pretty hit or miss for me, but Miss Matched was actually really wonderful. Tayla was super relatable with her penchant for dating the wrong person, and I just really enjoyed the story.

I saw the synopsis of this book and I had to have it. Tayla and Simon were matched as soul mates, but that just can't be because they have a past, and that disaster doesn't equal soulmates in Tayla's mind. Tayla hasn't ever gotten over F'ing Simon, and when she is paired with him, she thinks the universe is playing a huge joke on her. When he steps into her clinic, she remembers all of the things that she used to love about him, and all of the ways he hurt her. You see, they were the real thing, or at least she thought they were, until it came out that it was all a lie.
Simon knows that he messed up years ago. Tayla was it for him and he got cold feet and bailed. He made mistakes that he greatly wishes he could do over, but life doesn't work that way. Unless, now is his do over and he wants to make Tayla see he has changed and he can now be the man she needs.
I really enjoyed the premise and I loved how far Simon was willing to go to get back the girl he will never get over. He was sweet as pie and *almost* the perfect book boyfriend. I understand his dilemma from the past, but I really wish that a miscommunication (non communication) wasn't what had blown things up so badly all those years ago. I also felt like he was old enough to know better at that age, and this was something I would expect from a guy in his early twenties, not mid twenties, but I guess guys mature slower?
All in all, I understood all of Tayla's reservations with giving him another chance, and I also was happy that he really never let her down, besides not getting into what happened that fateful night for way, way too long. This should have been one of the first things they discussed, but the longer it went on, the more it felt like he just wished it would go away.
I would definitely recommend this book if you want a sweet romance that will give you all the swoony feels.

This was cute! Tayla, sick of striking out with love, signs up for an expensive service promising to match her with her soulmate. The only problem? The name it spits out is Simon, her ex. Simon can’t be her soulmate, after all, it was he who dumped her when she thought he was going to propose six years ago. Simon has regretted how things ended up with Tayla ever since it ended with her crying into her champagne. And while he knows Soulmates Reunited is a scam, he can’t help but jump at the opportunity when he gets the email that he has been matched with Tayla.

Who hasn’t hoped there’s a magic formula – maybe something in all those algorithms showing us who to swipe left or right on – that leads to the perfect partner. And while the giant matchmaking company featured in [book:Miss Matched] has crosses serious ethical boundaries, it does rightfully (eventually!) connect Simon and Tayla, who weren’t really ready to commit when they were younger but are both older and wiser, and hopefully more ready to be together.

Simon comes off a little smarmy at first – it never sits right with me when a love interest barrels past a MC’s multiple objections and eventually wears her (it’s always a her) down. And Tayla prevaricates for far longer than she should about whether to get back with Simon – she’s already invested! It’s too late not to give him the power to break her heart again! – past the point where I wanted to shake her and just tell her to make a decision already. And, while perhaps realistic, the resolution with Soulmates Reunited was a let down.

Enjoyable if nothing groundbreaking. Bonus points for lots of cute puppies.

4.5 stars rounded up. This was my first Wendy Million book and it was so sweet!!! I really enjoyed this second chance romance. There was some of my least favourite tropes in the book that played a key role in the story (miscommunication and lie-by-omission tropes), but I felt like they were still really well done and didn’t bother me the way they normally do. Simon and Tayla are messy and complicated characters and I liked the plot around the dating service mess-up being woven in. I also loved how key animals were to the story and how imperfect Simon was and his character growth.

It was a well-written fast paced read and while nothing was really a surprise in the book, it was just a solid feel-good sweet and sexy second chance love story. ✨💖

You put a dog on the cover, and I will read it. This was a cute read. Tayla was relatable, always dating the wrong guys. But then getting matched with her Ex.

Simon was willing to do anything to get her back. This second-chance romcom is definitely worth the read.

This is a really fun twist on a romance story. I loved the setting and how people get matched with their partners. it was giving "matched" by Ally Conlide but better!!!

This was an okay book. The main male character made a huge mistake in the past and that was a lot to come back from. The characters didn't have sticking power in my head and it took me a while to finish the book.

This was a second chance romance and kind of a enemies to lovers rolled into one. I'm normally not a second chance romance fan BUT I actually really liked this one!

The two MCs sign up for a dating service and get paired together. Simon is excited and thinks this is his chance to win Tayla back but when Tayla sees her match she gets upset! Let the chaos begin!

I actually loved both MCs and I LOVE their love of animals. You always know how these kinds of books end up but it still pulled at my heartstrings and had a satisfying ending. :)

I wanted to like this book, but for some reason, it fell flat for me. There wasn't any character development, and I struggled to like both characters. It took me a minute to get through this book. The miscommunication throughout the story, oh boy. It really could have been resolved with just one talk.

I think it could have gone better because the plot was there. The storyline just fell through for me.
