I struggled quite a bit with this one. It was #34, I believe, in the Sisterhood series. I haven’t read any of the other books so I was quite confused, this is definitely not a stand alone story. I’m not sure if you would need to read all of the books in order but you definitely need the earlier back story to understand the premise of the book and know who the characters are. This one wasn’t for me, by no fault of the author. I just need to read the earlier books in the series.

I was given a NetGalley widget for this one a year ago and I just got around to reading it and dangit it was so good. I am so thankful for the opportunity to have consumed this wildly relevant fictional tale, which felt not at all fictional, more like historical fiction, due to the times. The cover initially was what drew me in, but I'm so thankful to have stuck with it because the outcome was magical. I always love listening to audiobooks and when they sweep me off my feet, I'm just utterly captivated! I love a good thriller that keeps me engaged from the start.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the narrator so struggled to get through the story. It’s a captivating, interesting read.

I did not finish this book as I did not like the narrator's voice at all, so I can not leave a review. I'm giving the book 3 stars as a fair rating and I will not be reviewing elsewhere.

Tick Tock is the thirty-fourth book in the Sisterhood series. A man in prison has been planning his revenge on Jack for years. When Nikki was the one who got hurt, the sisterhood sprung into action to determine who was behind the attack. This book could be read as a standalone. Still, I think that the books are better to read in order because the characters are not entirely fleshed out in this book, and all of the different relationships could also make someone confused coming into this book without prior knowledge. I thought the book was pretty good. It started slow, but there were a few edge of the seat moments. I loved the sisters' creative ways of solving this mystery. I listened to the audiobook, and it took me a while to get used to the older woman's voice. Laural Merlington did a great job at narrating, though.

Thank you to NetGallery and to Recorded Books for giving me a copy of the audiobook.

Thank you to RB Media and NetGalley for the advanced copy of this audiobook for my honest review.

I have not read any of the other books in this series and I am finding it a little difficult to follow along with the story as the characters are clearly well established. I can see where this would be a fantastic story in the series which I may have to start from the beginning though just to get a clear description of the whole picture.

The narrator reminds me of a cross between Kathryn Hepburn and Angela Lansbury. I enjoyed listening.

This represents book 34 of the Revenge of the Sisterhood series. What’s nice about this book is if you have stepped away from this series for a while you come back and it’s just like coming home. You have the characters you know and love such as Jack and Myrna. the truck driver, everybody else, plus the lovable dog that always knows the right thing to do. Nikki and Jacqui been hard-working lawyers as well as their side work with the sisterhood, but they decided it’s time to get away and take a little break. Too bad that work goes with him in the form of a car bomb. An injury takes place and the sisterhood is out for revenge. Overall, this book with a nice comfort red. However, a lot of this story was the buildup. The revenge part is lackluster and kind of softer then was seen in the first books. I don’t know if the softer story is because of something that happened in earlier books or because the author is rethinking the way revenge has to work. The audiobook is great because Mona feels like Mona. She feels like an older lady not some fresh young teenager.

Number 34 in the Sisterhood series is about a group of women who have been wronged by law and makes it their goal to get justice.

Another story of the Sisterhood but this time it is personal: injustice has reached one of their own and there will be payback.
While this is the 34th book of the series, it’s easy to meet these characters for the first time and fall right into step with their acts of valor and vengeance. The author gives you an overview of the group and their relationships so you immediately see that they are a family of righteous souls. They are a charming bunch.
Their finances and the right personal contacts, which seem inexhaustible, allow them to have all the finest tools and technological wizards at the ready to unravel whatever situation needs to be avenged.
They have their own methods for dealing out justice, which doesn’t involve the police. Somehow a guy who has been banished to Africa to an elephant sanctuary to serve his punishment may be glad he is not in a cell, but may wish for those four walls when he discovers that the bracelet on his ankle keeps him there in perpetuity.
The Sisterhood is a tough bunch.
The reader of the book did a wonderful job with so many voices to represent.

Tick Tock by Fern Michaels

This is book #34 of the Sisterhood series. This is a book about a group of women who call them selves the sisterhood a vigilante type group in essence. The sisterhood come together again to avenge the attack on Myra’s daughter Nikki. They figure out that their security has been breached and they discover the target was Nikki’s husband. They must solve that mystery as well as find the people responsible for the bombing. Together the sisterhood is a force to be dealt with that always finds those responsible and then issues punishment.

Now I will be first to admit this is the first book of the series I read but I was still able to follow along with the story. Though I do not know the back round of all the women but that did not bother me or pull me away from the story. I loved how the women set out to figure out who did what and bring those people to deal out punishment.

I loved how the story ended and how the women handled things. I found so much enjoyment in there form of justice. I love how Ferm Michaels tells a story it was engaging and it just entertained me. I will go back and read the whole series. I think I will enjoy all the books in the series. I love the brash and toughness of the women. I also liked how they used all there assets to catch the people responsible for the bombing and the break in.

The story was narrated by Laural Merlington she did a great job and made listening to this audio book great. Each character I felt had there own voice. This was a solid four star read and I recommend this if you enjoy vigilante type stories with mystery elements that evolve around a group of women. You will enjoy how these women deal out justice.

I was given the audiobook from NetGalley for review.

For starters, I had absolutely NO idea that this was book thirty-something in a series. I definitely would not have requested it had I paid attention to that beforehand. For that reason alone, I am not going to post this review elsewhere since I hate to put out such a negative review that is skewed by my lack of knowledge going in to this story.

After discovering that this was not book one, I feel like I can be a bit more lenient and say that this story does not stand on its own very well. Reading it with no idea what happened in any of the other books made this large cast of characters feel severely underdeveloped. Not only that, but there is this group called "The Sisterhood" and I think that they're maybe what the other books are about, but without any prior knowledge, this group that is supposed to be a big deal seems super pretentious and outlandish.

The story itself was fun, if not all that believable. I did appreciate that back and forth perspectives between the sort of "good" and "bad" guys. It was nice seeing both sides. I will also say that the criminals were given enough personality and a backstory that they were distinguishable from one another. However, the whole revenge plot was pretty standard with an extremely cliche ending. Nothing super surprising ever occurred and for that, even if I had read other books in this series, I don't think that this one would have stood out. I also did not like the ending with Leroy on the plane. I could have done without the author repeatedly telling me that this trip wasn't going to go as he planned. I knew that. But it also confirmed that there would be no surprises and further took away from any potential immersion.

Additionally, I will also say that for the most part the narrator was okay- except when doing some of the younger women's voices. Those were brutal. Did not enjoy.

While I appreciate the opportunity to read this a bit early, unfortunately this book just did not work for me.

I am familiar with this author but not sure I have read much of her stuff. This book was via audio book and honestly could not get into it as much as some others. Possibly it was the narrator or just didn't find the depth of the characters. Would rate this 3 *** because it wasn't something I was itching to get back to listening to.

Never EVER a dull moment when the Sisterhood is involved! #34 in the fabulous series about some serious kick butt vigilantes that take NO crap and are all about a little retribution. I absolutely loved the narrators for this audion - very distinct and belivable - easy to follow and undrstand.

"The women of the Sisterhood have developed a motto: “Whatever it takes.” Regardless of how dangerous an adversary may be, or how overwhelming the odds against them seem, the group’s devotion to each other and to their cause has helped them achieve the seemingly impossible.

But there’s a price to pay for success. In the course of both their official careers and their top-secret missions, the Sisterhood—and their menfolk—have acquired enemies. Myra has been feeling uneasy of late, and her fears are justified when her adopted daughter, Nikki, is seriously injured. With Nikki in a coma, and Nikki’s partner, Jack, convinced that the organization’s online security has been breached, the women of the Sisterhood are more vulnerable than they’ve ever been.

On their trail is a vicious felon with scores to settle and a network of accomplices willing to do his bidding, for a price. He’s set his sights on vengeance, and the attack on Nikki is just the beginning. Though frantic with worry about her daughter, Myra and her beloved Charles know it’s time to summon the others and figure out how to take the fight to the enemy’s door. Because no one targets one of their own and gets away with it . "

Well this was an interesting read. I feel like had I read any of the previous books (as this is number 34) I might have enjoyed this more. While it’s absolutely possible to read this as a standalone (I did and the main story was not hard to follow), I do feel that having the backgrounds for each of the characters would have been a benefit in the enjoyment of the overall story.

This one starts with enough backstory to provide context for the events that unfold throughout the rest of the book. It’s clear that the characters are connected to each other and appear to be pretty important but there’s not enough to share why. This caused me to really struggle with the little details in this story.

The little details are the things that tend to irk me the most when reading books. They’re the things many overlook but I just can’t let go of. In this case, it really does feel like had I not started here these little details would have been explained. I enjoy long series like this. I really do. I’m eventually going to go back and read this complete series to get the entire backstory and see if my opinion changes.

Thanks to NetGalley and Recorded Books for the opportunity to listen to the audio version of this one! Since it’s told in multiple POV, I do wish that there had been multiple narrators but the singular one used did a fantastic job.

Overall as a stand-alone I’m giving it ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Flashback to the corny 70’s. I have read a few in the series and this is #34. The Sisterhood is a Vigilante group and with the help of their partners solve crimes. Similar plot line to previous books, just surrounding a different main character. Totally unrealistic and you do need to read a few in the series or you will know very little of the group’s background. I have enjoyed the writings of the author’s other books, just not this series. Maybe it has run it’s course? My rating 2.5. Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story. #NetGalley #TickTock

Murder, justice, friendship and gourmet food-who could resist this combo? Myra and Charles’ daughter Nikki is left in a coma after an attack and her parents gather their sleuth friends to capture and bring the unknown assailants to justice.
This sisterhood mystery(#34) was expertly narrated by Laural Merlington. She used a variety of accents and matched the voices perfectly in my opinion to the personality of the characters. I felt that there were so many different characters introduced in the first chapter then suddenly it all seemed to come together and picked up great speed with a clever and adventurous spirit.
This is the perfect mystery to take on a trip, gift to a friend or read at home by the fireplace.

I thought that this was a standalone novel. Unfortunately, it was not the case. There are plenty of books in this series!

So at the beginning I was very confused. There were quite a number of characters to keep track of!

The storyline was a little confusing for me to follow but I think this is due to my lack of knowledgement!
I would suggest to read the whole series in order to enjoy this story!

Tick Tock
by Fern Michaels
Narrated by Laural Merlington

Rating: 4/5 Stars

I've read quite a few of the Sisterhood novels by Fern Michaels. This is a series about women taking justice into their own hands when the system fails to work. So first off, you need to be okay and accepting of this kind of vigilantism. Tick Tock is no exception to the well-oiled machine that is the Sisterhood novels. This time, one of their own, Nikki, has been injured. So this is personal. Myra, Charles and Jack are the main people in this story that are involved with the Sisterhood, though the others play their parts to bring the people responsible for Nikki's injuries to justice.

I thought that this was a pretty decent Sisterhood novel, though I have read others that were a bit more gripping and kept me on the edge of my seat. After what...34 Sisterhood novels or something like that, I can imagine that it might be a little difficult to keep things fresh. I felt this way with the Eve Duncan novels that Iris Johanssen writes as well. Overall, it was a worthwhile listen, especially if you're already a Sisterhood fan. Ms. Merlington did a fantastic job narrating all of the various characters and had a great handle on their many accents and unique voices. It takes a real talent to be able to perform such a feat.

Thanks so much for #NetGalley and #RBMedia for the opportunity to listen to and review this ARC!
