A good read with some surprising twists along the way. Didn't expect the last one at the end at all. Kept me hooked and guessing all the way.

Thank you Avon Books and Netgalley for another brilliant read.
I have read every book in this series and they have all been brilliant.
This was a great read, from start to finish and I just couldn't put ti down.
Each time I thought I had figured things out, another clue was revealed and left me doubting.
I don't always like a dual timeline, but this was really well plotted and keep you hooked until the very end.
Cannot recommend highly enough - you must read this and the whole series.

I have read every book in this series and I have loved them all for different reasons. This was an absolutely brilliant read from start to end and I couldn't put it down. Every time I thought I had figured the culprit and the motive another clue was revealed and I was left doubting everything and everyone. The dual timeline is perfectly plotted to allow you to slowly put the story together and keep you hooked until the very end.

This was a strong entry into this disconnected series. I've really enjoyed all three, and I liked the way that Sister repeatedly subverted the expectations I'd built up by reading all three. You can read them entirely independently and thoroughly enjoy them, and I recommend these often to any thriller lover.

The audiobook for this one in particular was well performed and fun to listen to, making the twisty story seem even more unputdownable.

This book is the third in a series
Plenty of twists and turns
Definitely keeps you hooked
And a great twist at the end
Thanks NetGalley

A good read with some infuriating situations which make you realize you are completely immersed in the story. It kept me guessing and floored me when all was revealed. Alice Hunter really is establishing herself as a must read author.

This is the third book in the serial killers series. I've enjoyed all of them but this one is edging it as my favourite.

The storyline was really intense and kept you guessing all the way through. The use of the dual timeline was done really well and it all came together at the end with plenty of twists so you really didn't know what was coning next.

The ending especially was a gasp out loud moment!

Who the killer was til the end.

A well plotted story with a neat twist at the end. Part of series but I read it as a standalone without too much difficulty. Good characters and a compelling pace.

With thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an opportunity to read and review an early copy.

Anna finds out that her estranged brother is a serial killer and the police need her help in solving the clues he's left before he kills again, her life has been turned upside down and the and the clock is ticking but is she willing to uncover her secrets and risk herself to catch him and stop him from killing again. I enjoyed this for the most part and there were some good twists but the ending seemed a little unbelievable to me and just left me questioning a few things.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for an advanced digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Fast paced but also easy to follow! The story follows Anna, who has a brother called Henry who just happens to be a suspected serial killer. An envelope appears at Anna’s house one day and we are taken through their past relationship and how this could affect the new life she has built - is Anna’s life in danger? I will leave that to you to find out but this would be a perfect read for a gloomy day - curled up with a blanket and a hot chocolate!
Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for this ARC.

Imagine going about your normal life when one day a policeman shows up at your door and informs you that your brother is a serial killer. This brother that you’ve been estranged from for years has been killing women on certain dates, another important date is upcoming and the Police want your help in tracking him.
Their years in the child care system were difficult and a way to be occupied it was to play a game he invented. The brother would lay out clues and she would figure them out but what she discovered at the end was not always pleasant. The game became crueler and scarier over time…..and then she left him and his game.
Now he is laying out clues again for her to follow but it’s to prevent the next killing.
The story flips back and forth in time so you see how all the “clues” play a part in the telling of the sordid crimes and the seamy character he was.
   Fast paced and enjoyable.

Anna and her brother Henry, after suffering at the hands of their family, ended up in a children’s home. Anna finds a friend in Karen but Henry, who has social difficulties, is alienated. So Anna creates a game with rhymes that set him tasks and they name it The Hunt. Anna then manages to turn her life around and now has a loving husband, a lovely home and a teaching job she loves. But her life is shattered when the police turn up and tell her that they suspect Henry is a serial killer and need her to help them catch him. When an envelope is left at her house inviting Anna to play the game she realises that her own life could be at stake. The book is told mostly from Anna’s perspective and is set in two timelines, the past and present which gives an insight into Anna’s and Henry’s relationship. This is an engrossing and tense psychological thriller with so many twists and turns, especially at the end. A riveting read.
Thanks to Netgalley and Avon books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

I devoured this book within a few days as it had me completely hooked.

Anna Price is teacher in a private school with a seemingly perfect life with a loving husband, a respectful job and a totally different life than her tumultuous childhood. However, Anna's life is rocked with DI Walker gatecrashes her perfect life to inform her that her estranged brother, Henry, is responsible for the murder of 5 people and is now wanted by the police. With this revelation every aspect of Anna's life crashes down around her. Now having to delve into the dark secrets of her childhood, can Anna stop the sixth murder before it goes ahead in a few days time?

I really sympathised with Anna and was desperate to know Henry's motives. Could his childhood abandonment issues really have created a monster?

This was a fast paced read that I simply could not get enough of. Yes, I did have suspicions of certain characters but nothing prepared me for the twist right at the end of the book. Complete edge of the seat drama the whole way. I'd highly recommend.

Anna is a teacher at an independent school and married to Ross. Life is great until Detective Inspector Walker comes knocking on the door.

Anna's brother Henry is wanted for the murder of five women killed on two specific dates. The next date is four days from now and they want help in finding Henry.

Anna hasn't been in touch with her brother for fifteen years.

The story goes back to when Anna and Henry were in the children's home and used to play a game called "The Hunt" where Henry hides something and leaves clues or a riddle for Anna to find it. Henry is now leaving Anna clues.

A great fast paced thriller that held me riveted until the very unexpected ending.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

An intriguing book with a few surprises and decent pace.
The characters were interesting and the setting of Tall Chimneys, was both freeing and claustrophobic.
I liked how the story fluttered back and forth between the past and present but not too much as to wonder what was going on.
Would recommend!
