What a great story! I was drawn in from the first page. I was totally drawn into the story. I love stories set in Scotland and I was not disappointed. I loved Aine and Alex! You knew something was going to happen, but Mary did a great job with how it happened. I felt Aine's turmoil and Alex's anger when everything unfolded. These are the type of characters I think about long after the book is finished.

Loved, loved Alex MacFhearguis and Aine Fraser. Mary Morgan did such an excellent job with this story. She included previous characters as well which was great. The cautious warrior who is thrust into a different realm and is always hesitant when it comes to the Fae is intrigued with the lass who tends to him.

Aine is half Fae and on a night she makes a wish under a highland star, what she should not, brings a man into her world and now he is hurt because of her.

Sweet, heart-warming, holiday read. I love the world building idea, and Alex and Aine were so cute together. It's a perfect book to read with a cup of hot chocolate on snowy days :)

What a wonderful hoiday romance. Aine is delightful and Alex brooding yet swoon worthy. This medieval Scotland romance is perfect for fans of fae, the highlights, and wonderfully written romances.

This book is part of a series, but reads like a standalone. I’m excited to check out the other books.

A wonderful trip back in time to Medieval Scotland for fans of historical romance. This holiday tale of romance with fae magic and wonder woven throughout is the perfect read to celebrate the season. Main characters Aine and Alex jump off the pages with an assorted cast of fun secondary characters.

Wishes Under a Highland Star was a really good read! This was my introduction into the series. Usually coming in to the last book might be dicey, but the writing was smooth enough that it felt like a standalone. And it piqued my interest to go back and read the rest of the books. I definitely want to see what Alex, the male lead, was like before this book. His journey sounds fascinating.

It took me a couple of chapters to find the cadence of the brogue. Once I did it was fun having a few Scots in my head for the journey. I can imagine this is a great book for audio and if you can get it that way, I would! It was a nice change of pace too that both lovers had legitimate concerns about falling for the other. A lot of romance base the hang-ups on ludicrous reasons or pride. Whereas that can be entertaining, these characters felt more genuine because of their hesitations. They both had major responsibilities to consider. <Spoiler alert> I'm certainly glad that love won the day, but it was nice that they didn't compromise who they were in the process. Though this is the end of this particular series, I'd like to read about Aine's brother, Keegan, finding his true love. It would be enjoyable to watch a partner, male or female, knock him on his butt.

I loved the Prologue and how it brought me into the story.

This is such a beautifully written and wonderful story. I laughed and cried while reading it. For Alex and Aine it was love at first site when Alex fell into her Fae world. But with him being human and her Fae, could their love withstand the trials of being from two different worlds? Or would obstacles forbid them from being together in either world? Theirs is a tale of love awaiting fate as to what will happen. Such a moving story. I would give this ten stars if I could.

Thoughts: I have not read this author before so was not familiar with the background of the brothers, but I know I will be reading more. The I did not know the previous stories, the author gave me enough information throughout to know what was going on so I wasn’t lost.

The hero, Alex, Is a character that comes across as gruff and cold-hearted, but when he loves, he loves hard. As chieftain of the clan, he’s interested in making alliances, but not in marriage. He wants nothing to do with that. Fortunately, the fates have a different future in store for him.

Aine is half-human, half-fae and lives in the secret and secluded glen of Taloch castle where she is a blacksmith. Her skills at the smith and with the harp far exceed her skills at “womanly” pastimes like cooking and sewing. Lonely for love, she makes a wish one starry night—and meets the warrior of her dreams.

Alex and Aine endure a lot of trials and tribululations before things right themselves. This is a sweet story steeped in magic and romance with a HEA ending that makes you smile and wish for a warrior of your own.

Recommended. But I do suggest you buy all the books in the series and start with the first one in order to understand everything that is going on. You won’t be sorry.

Although this was a well developed fairy-tale, I'm not so sure it was for me. It just didn't grab me as much as I would have liked. 
I do have to give the author credit for building a beautiful world. It was like a fairy-tale inside a fairy-tale. It was also charming in it's own way. And it was good to see both Alex and Aine finding their way to each other.

Satisfyingly adorable. Exactly what I look for in a light-hearted fluffy book! It is a beautifully written romance with a dash of suspension and drama, perfect for relaxing at home and enjoying your book boyfriend.
