This book was just awkward. The story was a bit awkward, the characters and their reactions to each other were awkward. I was not able to finish.

This is a short erotic story for Christmas. On Christmas Eve Nicole goes home with her lover expecting to get an engagement ring. She is surprised to find his twin brother there and discovers the three of them can read each other's minds. A quick read.

Nicole has been dating Cal for a while. Even though they have made love several times. She has never stayed at his house for more than a night. Finally for Christmas he invites her to stay over. He has a secret. He has a twin but he’s more than a twin.
I
The heroine has to deal with twins with a special gift. The heroes has never to anyone there secret.

It was a great science fiction short story. I highly recommend it.

This story actually creeped me out some. The idea of twins is hot but how it was presented was not what I was expecting. The whole idea of one controlling both? Yeah. Not for me.

Nicole is hoping her boyfriend Cal asks her to marry him on Christmas. Instead he introduces her to his identical twin. What he proposes sets her head spinning. Will she agree? Short erotic story.

Well this was interesting. The concept of the twins being one person was odd, but not enough to deter you from reading. I didn’t like some of the phrases she used when explaining the spicy scenes. Overall it’s short and something to read if you need a smutty Christmas story.

I really did enjoy this book. I do think it is a little cheesy but it was a quick fun read. This was the first book I have read by this author and I would definitely read another one!

This has to be the most...unique...smutty holiday novella I've read in a while.

Nicole has been dating Cal for a while but has never spent the night. That's all about to change on Christmas Eve when he invites her over for a big surprise. She thinks he's going to propose, but Cal tells her his big secret instead. He has a twin.

Well to be more accurate "he is twins" (Two bodies, one mind type of situation).

Interesting, right?! Unfortunately the execution left much to be desired. The writing was oddly formal (both in dialogue and Nicole's internal thoughts). I understand Cal's slight unnatural manner of speaking, considering the paranormal edge the story leans into, but the rest didn't do it for me.

Rating: 1.5 rounded up to 2.

The book is a short spicy hit that readers can just relax into, however, I personally think it was a little underdeveloped.

I think the author needed to spend a little more time fleshing out the story itself. I can understand wanting to make it a little Novella, but it feels too understated to really get into the story itself.

The concept behind the story sets itself apart from the usual ‘twin/ mmf romance’ so that will be interesting for readers, but again, there just needs to be more of everything

Merry Twinness might not be for everyone. but it was for me. The whole story feels like the author is exploring the idea with us. Is it fully fleshed out? NO, but it doesn't need to. when I go into a short story I'm looking to quickly play in the author's mind and she hit all the questions about this universe I asked. It was fun and sexy. that's all I wanted
It's always fun for me to read a fun short Sci-Fi story. Especially went the author isn't focused on the social or big picture, but on how little things would affect people in a personal (and sexy) way. All great Sci-Fi starts with a question and Merry Twinness asks "what is the most ethical way to fuck twins?".
Thanks to the author and publisher for providing a free ARC copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Merry Twinness revolves around Nicole and Cal. It starts out on their date Christmas Eve night and her excitement to stay at his house. Once they arrive at Cal's some things come to light and Nicole has to decide if she really loves Cal as much as she thinks.

I wanted to like this more, I really did. The story line was intriguing and I liked where the author was trying to go. Overall, it read more mechanical to me. I didn't feel any of Nicole's confusion or love for CAL, or any of Cal's struggle and worry. The book is 50 pages and I took a nap after the first few, then I waited a few days to pick it back up. I usually devour novellas, especially steamy ones. I did think the last half of the book was better than the beginning. A little more emotion was present. The story has potential and is based on a cool idea, just needs better execution.

A fun little novella that’s strange and unusual but pretty sexy. Nice quick read and definitely unique! Erotic fiction with a little science fiction twist to it, how can you go wrong?

This was not one of my favorite reads. Nichole and Cal have been dating for a year, and are headed on to the path of nuptial bliss. Cal just has one more surprise for Nichole before popping the question. Will his secret twin be the nail in the coffin of their relationship or can Nichole overcome Cals deceit so that they can live happily ever after?
I couldn't get behind any of the characters in this story. The most positive thing I can say is that it was a quick read with a good amount of spice, but even that comes with a caveat. The majority of the spicy scenes were overshadowed by Nichole's obvious discomfort with the whole idea and that vibe kind of of takes you out of the mood in my opinion. If not that there was the fact that they struggled with their dynamic as well. There was a happily ever after though and that was nice.

I think this might be one of the strangest books I've ever read.

For those 18 and up.

Thank you to Net Galley and the Publisher for my advanced readers copy of Merry Twinness.

Nicole and Cal have been dating for quite awhile now and Nicole knows Cal in going to propose Christmas Eve. But Cal has been hiding a secret from Nicole. He has a twin brother! But that's not the only secret Cal has. Will this knew secret break their relationship or change it for the better?

I won't spoil what the secret is, but it has to do with the paranormal. Which wasn't really what I was expecting from this story. So while it wasn't a bad story, I couldn't really get behind the science fiction of it all. It was a very well written book, it's just the concept wasn't my taste. But if you like paranormal and erotica this book is definitely for you.

When Nicole is invited to spend Christmas at her boyfriend's house, she thinks she's getting a ring.... and she isn't entirely wrong. Cal has a secret and if Nicole is open to it, she might get more than a ring.

This novella is a science-fiction twist on the ménage trope. Cal's twinness is more of a single identity existing simultaneously in two bodies. It's a interesting concept and unique to the genre.

Thank you NetGalley, Margaret L. Carter and Backlit PR for this ARC.

A fairly short but interesting paranormal/scientific novella. While the story itself is different and there's definitely potential, It wasn't cohesive enough for me to truly understand the story in its entirety. 2.5/5

This was one of the strangest Christmas ménage short story I’ve ever read, but it still kept my interest. The story is about Nicole and her boyfriend, Cal. They decide to spend time on Christmas Eve and it’s obvious that they are going to take the next step in their relationship, Cal has something to confess to Nicole. Once he confesses, the story gets a bit weird, but interesting.

I wish the story was bit more developed because there were a few things that made it hard to understand and some parts of the story would have made more sense if there was more details. You can tell the author was going for a science fiction twist so if you’re into science fiction, you may enjoy this read.
