I’m alway dubious to read sequels as for me, they never seem to live up to the expectations and hype of the first book. I WAS WRONG!

Freida McFadden took me on another chaotic journey in Mille’s life with The Housemaids Secret. I mean, we’re pretty much in the thick of the action with the Prologue’s opening line: Tonight, I will be murdered. That line sets the whole tone of the book.

I like to be kept on the edge of my seat when reading thrillers, and this didn’t disappoint. It had action, romance, revenge, and most importantly twists and turns I was never ready for, or saw coming. In true Freida style, if you think you know where this story is going, think again, because you are WRONG.

The epilogue is a jaw dropping moment for sure. Kudos to Freida for that.

If you are a fan of page turners, gritty characters, and riveting plots, then I’d highly recommend The Housemaids Secret.

Freida got me again! I love the twisty lanes I went up and down during this story. So much so, that I read it in a day. I couldn’t put it down… wondering what next would happen for Millie.

I was fortunate to receive an ARC of Freida McFadden’s The Housemaid’s Secret. I love psychological thrillers, and her books never disappoint. I really loved the twist and turns in the first book of this series, and I adored Millie. So, I was excited to read this sequel. I’m happy to say that I found the sequel to be even better than the first book, and I didn’t think that was possible. I was so engrossed in this book that I finished it in one day. The characters are well developed and interesting. Although I adore Millie, I found myself mad at her a couple of times. But, in keeping with Freida’s style, there are amazing twists and turns. As always, right when you think you know where things are headed, you find out you’re wrong. There’s also the OMG moment on the last page that leaves you wanting more. I love a book I can’t figure out! I’ll definitely be buying the paperback when it is released to add it to my Freida McFadden collection.

Yesterday I managed to get this ARC for The Housemaid's Secret via NetGalley and was THRILLED! I immediately started reading &tried to pace myself& savor this book but as with all Freida's books I couldn't stop reading

This book continues the story of Millie, who works as a housecleaner for the rich and struggles financially. Hew newest job finds her in a penthouse, with a sick woman who is not seen and a handsome husband. Millie gets overly involved with them and then the twists follow as nothing is as it seems and the real victim might be her. It is fine to read this without having read the first book, but dp read the first book. A fast paced, easy to read twisty thriller

Her best book yet. Could not put it down and it was delightfully twisty. Very clever and I do hope we haven't seen the last of Millie.

Let me just WOW! I managed to get an advanced copy of The Housemaid’s Secret yesterday and immediately started reading it. You would think after writing what I’m sure amounts to more than a hundred jaw dropping twists, they’d begin to lose that “special something”, but you would be very wrong. Freida continues to outdo herself with every new book she writes. Every twist is invigorated with a life of its own; never feeling as if it’s riding on the coattails of a previous plot twist.

This book kept me guessing at every turn and while I didn’t know it was possible, it’s somehow even better than the original. I hope there are many more Millie adventures to go on, because I’ll walk down every single twisty road Freida and Millie want to take me down.

I never ever figure out Freida's books and this time I thought "I'll take some notes and figure this out" and even with the PAGES of notes I took I did not figure it out or even come as close as I thought I would!
This book kept me interested from page 1 to the end and the twists and turns kept me guessing the whole time. I thought I knew what was going to happen an alas - I was wrong.

This book has everything - love, murder, mystery, and money!
It keeps you guessing from beginning to end and as always leaves you wanting more!

I HIGHLY recommend reading this book when it's released - especially if you're a Freida fan - this is a GREAT sequel to the Housemaid and I am so thankful to have gotten to read it early!

I received an ARC. Can I just say WOW! This is my favorite book by Freida McFadden. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride and keeps you thinking throughout the entire book. I could not stop reading. If you are looking for a fantastic book that will leave you wanting more, look no further!

5 stars out of Oh my lord! I loved this! I was lucky to get an ARC today and I was off work so what was my plan for the day? Yes, reading this gem! I read it in 2 sittings and barely ate anything all day! I read a lot of thrillers and I've read all of Freida's books, so despite the fact that I expect a lot from her books, I also am confident I will guess the plot twist (s) fairly easily. And I did guess one to be honest, but all the others were a wonderful surprise! This was a very fast-paced, easy and engaging read. I loved The Housemaid (the first book to which this is the sequel) and equally enjoyed this one. I think both books are Freida's best work and if she continues this way there's no stopping her success! She's an auto buy author for me and I know that time spent reading her books is always rewarding! Highly recommend this one!

This is a fabulous book, in fact, I read it all in one day! I thought I had it all figured out and boom as always Freida throws a curveball! I highly recommend this book but be warned you won’t be able to put it down.
