In this book Jack proposes to Tess. I could feel the love from Jack but not so much from Tess but despite that it felt so emotional.

This is a good book. The main characters are Tess and Jack. They have known each other since elementary school. At Tess’ sister engagement party Jack says let’s get married. This proposal changes everything. Tess starts to think about Jack not as a friend but as a lover. They each issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

A lovely feel good book. No third act break up, which just makes it so much better and more enjoyable. Lovely characters and I’m already excited to read more!

I was given an ARC for this book by the publisher and NetGalley for an unbiased review.
Tess O'Neill knows she can count on her best friend of 20 years, Jack Blackwell, they have been there for each other over the years but when he blurts out a proposal during her sister's engagement party she is taken aback,

Jack Blackwell is a successful writer who can have any woman her wants but he proposes to his best friend, Tess. Once the proposal is out he knows exactly how to handle her freak out because he knows how she likes to overthink everything.

Tess starts thinking it wouldn't be bad to be with Jack but she is nervous of ruining the one friendship that has followed her through the ups and downs of the last 20 years.

I love the Blackwell family! I want to be part of that family, I didn't realise that this was the second in a series it was good as a stand alone. I definitly will be reading the first book and keep an eye out for any more additions to their story.

I did wonder if I would struggle with this, having not read the first in the series.

I did not need to worry, this was an engaging romance.

The characters were well developed and the story flowed at a good pace.

Thoroughly enjoyable and I will certainly read more in this series.

A Proposal Changes Everything by Isabelle Grace is an amusing rom-com starring Tess O’Neill and Jack Blackwood. It was previously published using the title Jack’s Courtship. They were at her sister’s engagement party, enjoying the evening. They were best friends, and had been for twenty years. All of a sudden he blurts: “We should get married.” She looked at him as if he’d lost his mind. He repeated himself. She excused herself. She needed some air. She had never seen him that way. In fact, she had helped him with many of his romances, starting in middle school. She wasn’t about the fall in love with her best friend, which is what it would take. She would not marry for anything less than love.

This was such a fun book. Not quite laugh-out-loud funny, but close. Their families would think it was a terrific idea so no one could get a clue what was going on. It would break their hearts when it all fell apart. Because they had been friends for so long, no one hesitated to walk right into his house even if her car was there. That made for some embarrassing moments. Even as they got into it, Tess was not sure. She didn’t want to lose her friend. Jack was sure, all along, and just got more sure. This was a terrific story, not complicated but real. The two lead characters were decently written and the plot was simple, always best. It was believable and right. If you are a lover of light romance, this is the book for you.

Tess and Jack have been best friends for twenty years. Now in their early thirties, and both single, Jack proposes to Tess. Despite never dating, Jack knows he could never marry anyone else and that Tess is the only woman he could imagine in his future. But, Tess is blindsided.

Despite their close friendship, Tess has never admitted romantic feelings for Jack, but he challenges her to consider them. Tess is a romantic and Jack is out to prove that she should consider his proposal. Quickly, Tess begins to see Jack in a way she never had before, and her feelings for him evolves.

The title is perfect for this book because Jack's proposal truly changed everything between them. A book opening with a marriage proposal in the first chapter was bold and allowed the story to focus on Tess and Jack's relationship as their emotions develop.

I liked how the story had very little external conflict and was really a story about two people who love each other and allow their love to develop into a new love.

A new author to me and a quick, fun read. Jack Blackwood spontaneously proposes to his best friend at her sister’s engagement party. Tess’s reaction is perfect. They have been friends for twenty years.

Now one has thoughts of more, and the other begins to question the status of their friendship. This story is about how they decide how they will go forward.

Thank you to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

If you read my review of the first book in this series you know that for me Isabelle Grace is a new author. I really enjoyed the first book in the series and was looking forward to reading the next one. Like A Baby Changes Everything, A Proposal Changes Everything is about the Blackwood family.

Up this time is Jack Blackwood who is a writer. He and his best friend Tess have been friends since they were kids. Their relationship from the beginning is clearly just friends until it isn't.

I really enjoyed Jack and his family. The way he goes to his brother for advice is sweet. We all have that moment of not knowing if what we are doing is the right thing. I also liked how his younger brother gave him such a hard time about his growing feelings for Tess. Brothers are like that.

I enjoyed Tess too but she seemed to have a few self-confidence issues. I got that she was afraid to lose her best friend but, to be honest, she was going to lose him anyway one day. I'm not sure any woman would have been comfortable about them spending so much time together.

I did like how they worked out their issues and learned that what they have been feeling for so long for each other was love. These two have been dating since they were little kids and just didn't know it. You see it in every little action they do. They know each other so well and get along better than more. All they needed to see is if the physical part of their relationship worked

As a whole, this is a very sweet small-town romance that is very easy to read.

Great characters and a sweet romance make for a really good read. I was completely invested in Jack and Tess! Friends to lovers isn't usually one of my favorite tropes but this one was really well written. The Blackwood family were another great aspect to this story. I'm going back and read the first book and can't wait for the next one!

This story started with no preliminaries, the author dived straight into the bones of the story and it was a very auspicious start. Jack and Jess have been decades old friends and is constantly in each other's lives and space. Jack issues a marriage proposal and as the title says, it changes the dynamics of their relationship. Jack and Tess now have to navigate and preserve the nuances of their friendship without causing any lasting damage and scars if things go awry. Some parts of the dialogue were mundane, causing you to lose focus but overall this book showed how a little finesse and patience usually wins the reluctant heroine. This ARC was provided by Netgalley and my expressed opinion is unbiased and impartial.

What a lovely book! Really the perfect book, if you ask me!
Jack and Tess have been best friends for over twenty years. They have each other’s backs, they hang out together, share what’s going on in their lives together and trust each other. They both know the other one is just there for them whenever they need each other. So when the book opens with Jack suggesting they should get married, Tess’ first reaction is laughing out loud. How could they get married? They are best friends and of course love each other, but they are not in love with each other, right?
When you start reading this book, you are enjoying all the valid reasoning Tess comes up with, and the valid reasoning Jack offers as to why they should consider tying the knot. How are things between them? What do you expect them to say? And after that conversation, where do you go next? What happens next? What do you do? What are your thoughts, doubts, wants, wished and fears? All of that is addressed in a satisfactory way, very well done, and it is everything you would want and expect or hope and wish to read. Very, very well developed without rushing it or dragging heels; it is just perfectly written in my opinion! Of course Jack and Tess are both handsome and successful, and their families are perfect, too. Which is what I like to read; I read a book for my enjoyment so I don’t need unnecessary drama or whatever, I just want to read a nice story but with a believable storyline. This book provides it all but tackles another kind of plot: what would happen if you would marry your best friend. Very well written, thoroughly well thought-out. There was never a moment where I thought ‘I wish this was said’ or ‘that was done’, but only ‘Yes, tell her!’ or ‘Good, tell him!’ in my mind.
Very satisfying to read a book like that. I could hardly put it down and will definitely look for other books about the Blackwood family and will check out other series from this writer! I can highly recommend buying and reading this book!
I received and reviewed an advanced copy of this book and I am grateful for this opportunity. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

P.S. This book is not on GoodReads yet, so I cannot upload my review there yet. But I will save my review and add it as soon as the writer or publisher adds this book to the Goodreads Library.

This is the second book in the Hickory Ridge series, which seems to follow the lives of the Blackwood brothers. This book is about Jack Blackwood, an author, and Tess, a photographer and his BFF. During Tess' sister's engagement party, out of the blue Jack proposes. Tess and Jack have never been anything but BFF's, but Jack wants more and thinks Tess is his HEA. Jack is right, but it does take a while for them to get there. I really loved the first book in this series and gave it a five star review and this one is equally as good. The story is told from dual points of view, which is always my favorite. You are going to just love Jack as your book boyfriend! Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!!

This was such a sweet read! I love a good novel of friends to lovers! This is a great for lovers of that trope! I would definitely read this again and found myself laughing several times throughout this novel. This was an ARC from Rosewood books and Netgalley.

I'm a one-clicker for Isabelle Grace. When I'm in the mood to laugh and need some steam, she's my go-to author and A Proposal Changes Everything is another winner!

This was the first book by Isabelle Grace I've read. It was a sweet friends to lovers, marriage/engagement of convenience story that has Jack and Tess questioning their "just friends" status. It was a bit dialogue heavy for met taste and I had trouble connecting with any of the characters. It was a nice story, but not one I would re-read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

When bestselling author Jack Blackwood proposes Tess O'Neil, his childhood friend of twenty years, Tess finds his proposal absurd.

As they both spend more time together, Tess starts to see Jack in a new light and considers his proposal.
Thank you to Isabelle Grace, NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the arc of this book.
