Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily and it reflects my personal opinion.
I haven't read the first in this series but previous events are covered by references throughout the text of this book (actually more times than I felt necessary, it became a little repetitive) so I didn't feel I'd missed anything relevant.
This book is written as a dual timeline and I thought this was conveyed well, and the stories flowed. The feelings of each woman are realistic and well-written. The descriptions of the house at the centre of the story are interesting and atmospheric, and the romances are clean and tender. Despite all these good points I thought the end was too rushed and neat, and this caused me to drop my rating to 'average '.

did not feel like a romance novel at all, this would be perfect for either literary fiction or womens fiction. i did not enjoy this but would give rendle another try.

this didn’t read as a romance novel to me and I think would be better classified as women’s fiction. Some of the dialogue and plot felt like filler. Regardless, i'll read more from this author!

A moving story of one woman’s quest to find her roots The characters focus on themes of growing, self-discovery and confronting personal and social problems. This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and would read more of their work.

"Lost and Found" by Ros Rendle is a heartwarming novel that takes readers on a journey of love, loss, and self-discovery. The story follows the life of a young woman named Jo as she navigates her way through the challenges of growing up, finding her place in the world, and coping with the death of her mother. With well-drawn characters, a beautiful setting, and a compelling plot, this book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys stories about personal growth and overcoming adversity. It's a touching and uplifting novel that will stay with readers long after they've turned the final page.

A sweet book on self discovery proving that even when we don’t want to face our past; the resentment we feel must be addressed in order to move on in both our lives and impacts the future. This self healing story is relatable and inspiring with more than a couple times I found myself dreaming of a sweet and cozy tea shop.

Warm but thoughtful novel

Ms Rendle is a new author to me and I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. It is book 2 of 3 but I didn't feel like I was missing any back story by starting the series with it. This is a book about how you define parenthood, family and success. The dual time-line aspect adds to the storyline and you just have to see what happens next.

Thank you to the publisher who lent me a time-constrained e-arc via Netgalley. This review is optional and my own opinion. Too bad the library e-book system used by many libraries in the US and Canada doesn't even have Ros Rendle as an author.

This was a really fun romance read! I liked the dual timeline way of writing as that was different than what I typically read. The characters were well written and I would read more.

This huge fan of Mary Stewart and Barbara Pym thinks that this is a delightful book but it's not related to the works of those two beloved writers.
That said it's well written, enjoyable and heartwarming. Liked it.
Recommended.
