Novo the Space Robot can't figure out why there is water coming out of his eyes when his favorite flower is destroyed. He makes his way to his earth friends who ask him why he's crying. Novo doesn't know about crying.
The friends teach him about different types of feelings - happiness, joy, sadness, anger, etc. They listen to him and he learns crying is ok. This story is wonderful for children who have trouble with big emotions. The illustrations are adorable. Between the space theme, feelings, and happy ending, what's not to like? This was the first Novo book we've read, but I plan on getting the others for my kids.

This book was adorable! The illustrations were inviting, colourful and incredibly well done. It was a really fun take on exploring feelings for children. I loved how it showed that crying (for all reasons) is okay. It also featured lots of diversity in the characters which I really appreciated. Can’t wait to read this to my little ones!
