I’m officially calling Christina Lauren master romantic chemists from now on. Fizzy and Connor have explosive chemistry that is seriously some of the best I’ve ever read.

If you’re a fan of CL’s books, you know the types of precious stories they tell. And while you may know the destination, you still enjoy the entire ride there.

This was so cute! I absolutely loved it. I loved fizzy from tbr first book and she really shined in this one. I loved her journey through this trying to figure out who she was and want wanted in life. I loved her and Collin together, they really did work so well together you could feel their chemistry through the pages for sure.I loved the dating show premise to this one too, I really thought it worked well with the book. I also loved how Collin was the producer and not a contestant it really brought a little bit of a forbidden element to it and kept you thinking ahh what’s going happen! I also thought he was the sweetest dad him and Stevie where precious. This made me smile from beginning to end and I loved it!

AMAZING. I didn't even know this was a companion to The Soulmate Equation until I started it! I had indeed noticed the cover and title similarities, but I hadn't read the synopsis or anything. I just knew I wanted to read it cuz duh. It's a Christina Lauren. I started it and got SO EXCITED! It did not disappoint. It was fantastic and I loved every minute of it. What a fun book!

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house and the author for the opportunity to read a complimentary copy of this book in return for a review based upon my honest opinion.

This was such a great summer read! Felicty (Fizzy) is a famed romance writer who is asked to give a graduation speech; during the speech, she realizes that something is missing from her life. That although she writes great stories of love, she has never experienced a "forever after', this causes a sudden case of writer's block. Soon aftr Connor comes in to her life, and the story from there is a funny, laugh-out-loud romance. Fizzy's character was instantly likeable, she is quippy and fierce. This isn't my usual type of book, but it was a really nice change and was light-hearted and fun to read. I will definiatly read more of this author's works.

When two seemingly opposite characters find them selves working together on a very different project sparks fly! Single dad and nature documentary director has been tasked with creating a hit reality tv dating show, he chooses a quirky, dating expert, romance novelist to be his star. The only problem is that while he’s selecting the perfect real-life book boyfriends for her, he’s slowing falling in love with her. This is a laugh out loud funny book that is enjoyable from the first page.

Another winner by Christina Lauren.

I will admit at first I rolled my eyes at the reality show bit but wow did I get sucked in! I think I would even watch a reality dating show like this!

I really enjoyed the characters and how the story all came together.

AND of course the steamy bits were top notch!

Highly recommend if your into romcoms.

Thank you Netgalley for providing me with an early ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Fizzy and Connor’s relationship developed in the sweetest way. It was also so obvious how it would end with the show, but I loved every last second of it. Fizzy has 0 filters to her thoughts and I love her for it. I’m really glad we got this book in the same world as the Soulmate Equation!

Fizzy is a romance writer fighting writer's block because she feels she never has experienced love. Enter Connor, a documentary filmmaker who is tasked with producing a reality tv show, and he wants Fizzy to star in it.

This book was so cute. I loved Fizzy as the main character. She was strong, feisty, and not afraid to be herself. The tension between her and Connor was amazing! I am not a huge fan of reality tv but I really enjoyed this book. I loved the Soulmate Equation so also loved seeing those characters again.

I loved this book! It was so empowering and funny, a complete love letter to romance novels and the people who read or write them. Christina Lauren just keeps getting better and better.

Cute, spicy, intriguing and a great time! Great book to spend your time with and interesting plot. The cover is also stunning!

This book has now taken over my number one spot of Christina Lauren books.

Felicity “Fizzy” is a beloved romance novelist but has never been in love herself. She has never had that swoon-worthy, can’t-stop-thinking-about-him type of love that many of her characters have experienced. She has hit a rut and is unable to write her next book. Connor Prince is a documentary filmmaker who is ordered by his boss to make a hit reality show. Despite being out of his element he comes up with an idea of a reality show where romance novelist Fizzy can find true love like her characters in her books.

Romance, Reality Tv, miscommunication- to friends- to Forbidden Love! Everything I need in a great romance book. This book is going straight to top romance books. I adored the characters. Fizzy is everything!! Outspoken and unapologetic. The chemistry being the Fizzy and Connor was insane!

There was so much in this to love— lots of funny laugh out load moments, plus so many fun pop culture references.

I loved how much of The Soulmate Equation was integrated (I definitely recommend reading that book first, or else there will be a lot of spoilers ).

Thank you Simon & Schuster Canada and Gallery Books for an ARC of this book.

After reading The Soulmate Equation I wasn't sure if I was going to like this one. True Love had everything and more that I felt was missing from Soulmate. You get the gist of Soulmate through True Love, but instead you get more Fizzy and a new character, Connor. They're both amazing. Honestly, this book was such fun to read, but at the same time so tense and I was wanting to not read it at certain points because of the tension and suspense!

I had an idea how it would end, but wasn't 100%, and I am really glad we got the HEA I wanted.

Not every CL book is going to be great, but this one was.

CLo can do no wrong!! I love fizzy’s character soooo much so I’m so glad they gave her her own HEA! With none other than everyone’s new book boyfriend Henry 🤩🤩🤩 I also loved the whole reality tv based on romance tropes too! Such a cool idea 💡 and we all know and love the beautiful CLo banter 🤌🤌🤌

Thanks for the earc Gallery!!

This is my first book by these two authors and I thought it was really cute. I really enjoyed the idea of the dating show but being a different type and more "realistic" as much as you can make a tv show realistic. I liked the humour that Fizzy brings and yet she is also very down to earth. The connection between her and Connor was amazing. I read this book in a night because I wanted to see where things would go and how it would affect the show. I definitely want to go back and read more of Christina Lauren's books.

Loved this. Easy five stars. Fizzy is great. Chemistry was on point and had me laughing out loud. No unnecessary drama and the perfect ending.

Check out my blog post for full review and I will have spoiler thoughts hidden, so for anyone who has read it and wants to know my thoughts, check those out too.

When Fizzy is approached to star in a reality dating show, the last thing she expects is to fall for the shows producer.

Whenever I start a book with a former side character as a main, I always worry that I will miss the original characters, and sometimes I do, but not with this one.
It was so fun to read Fizzy's story.

I loved this story, Fizzy was hilarious, the writing kept me smiling, and the ending was a fun surprise!

Thank you Simon & Schuster CA and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed this duo's book The Unhoneymooners and was excited to read this one. I haven't read The Soulmate Equation yet and apparently there's spoilers in this one. Oh well, that's on me!

😍Loved: Fizzy is the best friend we all want! I really enjoyed being back with this group of friends from The Soulmate Equation (although you don't need to have read that book to enjoy this one!). And Connor was top notch: single dad, forbidden love, and he can banter with the best!

😀Liked: This book felt like a love letter to rom-coms. Fizzy even gets some slack from another character about how romances aren't considered "real reading" and they way she handles it is perfection! I liked the reality tv spin (looking at you Bachelor lovers!) and found the plot clever and entertaining.

😐 Lukewarm: Was it predictable? Absolutely. Did that also make it exactly the reason we often love romances? Also yes!

This is a fantastic summer read and would be perfect to enjoy on a sunny day sipping your favourite drink! Thank you for the advanced copy!

What I loved:
Connor is such a dream boat, quite literally, from a male main character perspective. I really enjoyed the banter between these two throughout the book and they both had me
Laughing the entire time. As an aside, I didn’t read The Soul Mate Equation so I only know Jess and River from this book (not sure if that leaves me at a disadvantage🤷🏼‍♀️) but it may be a benefit to read that book first? Maybe that would have had me liking this book better?

What I didn’t love:
I was really enjoying this book and then it fell a touch flat for me at the end, and the third act happened as “expected” which made me a little sad. I was hoping we would get creative with that part a little bit. But I guess it’s a rom
Com so….? Overall I enjoyed this book but the ending fell flat for me and was a little predictable!

I liked Fizzy, I liked Connor, I liked the dating show, I liked Stevie. Cute story for lovers of reality tv!

Romance: ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Steam: Too much for me, probably mild for some 😂
Tropes: Enemies to lovers, forbidden romance kind of, miscommunication trope does make an appearance which is what I didn’t like
TW: not much I can remember? Slight infidelity mentioned
