I love Christina and Lauren, but this one just did not impress me as well as their other books. It was still quite enjoyable, though.

@christinalauren never disappoints and the audio of this was so entertaining! I was thrilled to get Fizzy’s story. I fell in love with her in #TheSoulmateEquation and I was so happy to see her have some Main Character energy in this one.
.
Fizzy is feeling a bit lost. When she is approached to be the lead on a dating show, think the bachelorette, she was weary of accepting. She had conditions. Connor rose to the task and met all of her conditions. He really wants to make documentaries but with his job on the line and being close to his daughter at risk he needs to make a successful show. He doesn’t expect to fall for the lead himself.
.
I absolutely loved this one and not gonna lie I totally would watch this show! I loved these two together and like all #christinalauren books there is a lot of humor, witty banter and a whole lot of heart. Get this one in your beach bag because it’s a perfect read and it comes out tomorrow!

A true love letter to romance readers. Not only did I learn many different romance tropes it made me giggle and leave me feeling I had my own hea.

I absolutely loved The True Love Experiment! It is definitely one of my top 3 from Christina Lauren!

Absolutely loved this! I loved the idea of a reality tv show that also had to do with genetically because I love the soulmate equation so much! I love the chemistry between the two MC’s and Christina Lauren’s books are just really working for me again.

Fizzy is appropriately named as this book is effervescent! I adored this story and all of the aspects of it. Please write more books about fizzy!

I knew the minute that I finished The Soulmate Equation, that Fizzy had main character energy. When I heard that The True Love Experiment was about Fizzy's chance at love, I was ecstatic! Felicity Chen did NOT disappoint. I loved her tenacity, self-confidence, and that she was unapologetic about what she wanted or how people perceived her. I would ABSOLUTELY watch a dating show with her as the lead.

Conner was such a hunk too. I mean, a tall king, single dad (a good one at that), and a funny and sweet guy who is obviously head over heels for Fiz- what more could you ask for in a book boyfriend?! I loved that the book was written in alternating POV from Conner and Fizzy so the character development was there for each MC.

The dating show itself was original too and I loved hearing about the set up- the different "hero" typecasts, the DNAduo matches, and the audience choosing the one who leaves were all great ideas- I wish the show were real! I love the carryover from TSE- it wasn't too much but enough to where it was exciting when something from the previous book was mentioned.

I will say that the main "issue" between Fizzy and Conner was not as exciting as I thought it would be. It just didn't seem like a huge deal and was just kind of hard to believe that it would cause them to have the rift that they had. I did love how they reconnected though and the ending was just so freaking sweet! I love Christen Lauren and will be reading anything they write. They have become an auto-buy author duo for me.

The chemistry is real in this one. Another successful romance from Christina Lauren. I thought Fizzy was a fantastic character

This was not my favorite Christina Lauren book. It wasn't horrible but when I find the MC kind of annoying it just isn't for me. I'm sure many people will love this book like so many other Christina Lauren books but it just fell short for me.

The first couple chapters were iffy for me; I wasn’t sure where this was going. And then I fell headfirst into our story of a romance author becoming the protagonist of a dating show where viewers get to decide who stays and goes, comparing with the science of the DNA test to find your soulmate.

It was witty and I found myself laughing at many of the parts. It was heartwarming. Finished at a 5 star review from me. I loved it!

Thank you to #NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Sweet romance with great character and a HEA. I really enjoyed the concept behind the book and reading the characters fall in love. While a little predictable, I still really enjoyed this romance.

This is your classic Christina Lauren. Fun, romantic, emotional, and like most of their books, hilarious.

While a semi sequel to “The Soulmate Equation”, this book is different enough to make its story seem new and interesting. It’s main female protagonist, Fizzy, is a kick-ass strong lead. This makes her journey to falling in love with the male love protagonist, Connor, so much more meaningful, as the book allows time to delve into both their backstories and carve time for them to really get to know one another.

Overall, this book also does a great job of validating the romance genre and those who read it. Highlighting the love for the genre that actually exists for many readers today.

One of my guilty pleasures are reality tv. This book brought that to life in a fun, entertaining way. I could not stop listening to the audio version of this book. I called my sister & told her to grab it cause I knew she'd love it too. Couldn't stop!

The True Love Experiment gives Fizzy her own love story! I love the idea of a romance author going on a reality dating show and it was so sweet watch Fizzy’s story unfold this way. For male lead there’s a sweet single dad producer to play opposite our heroine.

Wow. This was my first Christina Lauren book and I scarfed it down. I immediately started listening to The Soulmate Equation after finishing The True Love Experiment (technically reading backwards, I know) and also ordered the Unhoneymooners. I have heard so much about these books; they are absolutely worth the hype. I was hooked in the first few chapters with Fizzy's set-up. Maybe it's just me, but I always find there's something so universal about being technically successful in your career, but also feeling completely and absolutely stuck. Fizzy is relatable, funny, and comfortable with sex (something that is strangely hard to find with FMCs). I would have read the book with just her in it. But that's not to say Connor was lacking; he was one of the best love interests I've read in a long time. He is the epitome of "man written by woman" and I found myself blushing several times at his dialogue and descriptions. The set-up was unique and ripe for conflict, but I loved that Connor didn't get overly jealous/controlling, and felt just as much angst about his job and life as he did about Fizzy. Christina Lauren has a clear talent for writing lovable characters with depth, and unique set-ups with punchy dialogue. I am absolutely a new fan.

I love this book SO MUCH. I liked it better than The Soulmate Equation; it felt the same but different in so many ways. Fizzy was so interesting and it makes sense that she got her own spinoff - she was electric in the first book and definitely a more vibrant personality than Jess (which is very intentional. I find the 'sidekicks' usually are more interesting), so as a main character she was going to shine.

Connor was an incredible love interest and I loved him so much. I liked him better than River because it didn't feel like he was trying so hard to resist his attraction to Fizzy. He was written really well, and I thought there was a lot of great character traits that jumped off the page.

The premises of the book was genius; I love the dating app technology that we were introduced to in the first book but having that combined with a dating show, with a romance author who lost her mojo? It's genius! It feels like an ad libs page in the best way possible.

I really just wish the DNA dating app and the show were real; it was so cute to have all the contestants be different romance tropes. I wish I could watch this play out in real life!

Fizzy and Connor were hot and heavy and it was a slow burn that I was desperate for. It was joyous to read the two of them; they felt like old friends who I was jumping back into bed with. The entire story just leaps into reality and it doesn't even feel like you're reading fiction.

Christina Lauren is not your typical romance writer; their words always seem to jump into your heart and life, and leave you a little different. There are definitely normal romance novel tropes, along with some hot and steam scenes, but at it's core it's about love and learning more about yourself.

The entire DNA series is a bundle of joy and if you want something light, something sweet, something hot, and something to take you out of your reading slump, I cannot recommend The True Love Experiment enough!

So good! I really loved Fizzy and thought the romance was very fun. I liked how all their friends were cheering for them as a couple. I think this will be a huge hit. It's probably my favorite Christina Lauren book.

We are back in the universe of River and Jess. It was fun watching Fizzy do her very own reality tv show based on the GeneticALLY DNA formula. The suitors were fun, and I wouldn’t hate to see some of them again with their own stories. I enjoyed watching the love story that did unfold. Such an easy and fun read. Also, the steam!!! Haha.
