Oh MY! Sara Cate puts some real magic in her books to have me enjoy a book about step siblings. So good. Also, this cover? Cleverest cover in all the land.

Sara Cate knows how to write the perfect taboo story. I loved the forbidden aspect to this, I loved the relationship that was built, and the smut was incredible. I am really enjoying the idea of the Salacious Players Club and how each book focuses on something different about it. I love this series!

Thank you #netgalley for an early read of #eyesonme

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy of Eyes on me. First I am a huge Sara Cate fan and have been so excited for these rereleases. This covers not just this couples sex life but also issues within their lives. The major shout out for mental health awareness was lovely! The forbidden fruit vibes between the two characters was almost dreamy, two unrelated step siblings falling in love. The struggles they face and how they can overcome that for each other. I cannot wait for more of this series, I definitely am won over by this author.

H.O.T.

This book is simply one hot sexy scene after another with a little kink thrown in to keep your attention!

Mia is 23. Garrett is 36. Mia is Garrett’s stepsister. There are two HUGE reasons they simply can’t get involved with each other.

The problem is (and is it really a problem!?) Mia has been in love with Garrett almost her entire life. So when the opportunity arises for them to have some really hot sex, the only question is: should they or shouldn’t they?

Spoiler alert: they do! And that’s not really a spoiler, in sure you figured that out already! But the development of their relationship separate and apart from the sex? The depression Garrett has suffered from for ten years? Mia’s undeniable obsession with Garrett?

I promise you: this book is sex and more sex but despite that, there is a bit of a storyline that’s well worth reading.

Thanks to sourcebooks for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

ahhhh i was pumped for this one bc i really liked praise but i just wasn't into the stepsibling thing of it all i finished it w the hope that maybe they weren't actually step siblings or they'd address that but i couldn't get past them saying "our parents" or "my parents" so often. im giving it 2 though because this author is a really good writer and i was hooked in the story even though i just wasn't into the dynamics of it all

This is a very, very fun taboo book that I really enjoyed reading! I did not like it quite as much as Praise, but it was a very good time. It definitely will not be everyone's cup of tea though, and that's ok. If you are weirded out by step-sibling relationships this just may not be the book for you.

I did not mind the concept and a very large chunk of the execution. However the reminder of their...relationship, was a little heavy handed at times - going from "oooh look at us we're in a taboo relationship how fun!" to "I am genuinely uncomfortable with this." He talks AN AWFUL LOT about watching her grow up, very often while getting off. Which is a lot. But weirdly, not the worst? The worst for me was after her dad (his stepdad cause, ya know, step-siblings) finds out about their relationship as Mia and Garrett are fighting and not speaking to each other. And her dad looks her in the eye, very soon after finding out about their relationship, and says "You're still family." LITTLE WEIRD. Did have me pausing for a second. But hey...chillest dad of the year award.

If you enjoyed Praise and are open minded, give this one a read. It is a very fun time, even if it is cringey at times. If you don't think you'll be able to hand it, just skip on to the next book. Having read both, it definitely does not require reading Eyes on Me to move on, but I think you'll have a fun time if you try!

Book 2 in the "Salacious Player's Club" series, we now follow owner Garrett as he stumbles across his stepsister, Mia, on a camgirl site. Forever thinking of her as his annoying, brat, kid-stepsister, he's intrigued and can't look away, which then leads him to adopting a fake online persona to talk to Mia online, and also has him traveling out to his families lake house to see her in person. It's not long before things start steaming up between the pair both physically and romantically.

There was tons of tension in this read. There was definitely times were I was afraid that they wouldn't end up together in the end. But luckily this books comes full of all that steamy HEA goodness. There were times that the stepsibling relationship between these two got weird- Mia has had a crush on Garrett the entire time she's known him, but since Garrett never looked at Mia that way until she was into adulthood (at 23), that weird grooming line was never actually crossed. But it was still there? It's hard to explain, as Garrett didn't do anything while Mia was a child, but they knew each other then, and he was a full adult when they met, so it borders the creepy line. The scenes in this book are always nothing but spicy. And I loved the mental health AND camgirl representation we got in this book. It was nice to see depressive episodes written in books that didn't glamorize them, and where our MC also didn't loose their friends, jobs, life, because of their mental health issues. It was honest. And it certainly made myself feel seen. It was also nice seeing a camgirl played out too, as I personally have not seen very many books that have that type of sex work. Overall, this was a really great read for me and really made me want to read the rest of the series!

- Step siblings
- Age gap
- Voyeurism
- Cam Girl X BDSM club owner

Garrett and Mia are possibly my favorite couple in the whole series! After seeing the tropes that were going to begin this book, I knew it was going to be hot and Sara did not disappoint with this one!

IT WAS HOT!!!

I loved seeing the struggle these two went through of whether or not they could be together and seeing them battle through some of those struggles together. Plus, seeing how depression was shown and represented in this book was so well done, seeing how it can affect someone day to day and how people cope with it!
I really loved this book (not as much as praise that is my favorite in the series so far) but I couldn’t put this book down! They say the quiet ones are the secret wild ones well that can definitely be said for Garrett. He was introduced to us in the first book of the series Praise and was known as the voyeur in the “friend” group and honestly, I didn’t realize how good the idea of that could be! Eyes on Me explore that a lot more and has more scenes at the club and snippets of previous characters in the series so far.

This book was everything and more!

Sara Cate is one of the authors that I trust implicitly to write taboo romances. A step-sibling romance isn't the easiest dynamics to navigate but Eyes on Me became an instant favourite the first time I read it. I'm not even a little bit surprised that on a second read through, I loved it even more. There's something so intoxicating about this story. Garrett and Mia shouldn't work, but they do, and SO well. I think that at the heart of this series, is a story that is so sex-positive, and sex-work positive which really comes through, most of the time. I do find, that in this specific story, it does feel a little bit sex-work shame-y in certain spots. But, I find that easy enough to overlook because of the nature of the series as a whole. I love the Salacious Players and I'm so glad that Sourcebooks picked these up!

This stand-alone second book in The Salacious Players Club series focuses on another owner of the BDSM sex club: Garrett and his budding attraction and relationship with his stepsister after her stumbles upon her popular camgirl profile. Cate finds a way to take some guilty-pleasure tropes and easily-problematic themes (see: stepcest, age gap, hidden identity, dubcon, breeding kink, possessiveness, loss of virginity, etc.) and make them into a genuinely heart-warming and steamy story. Her handling of mental illness is also admirable. It was also great to have a female lead that is a sex worker and comfortable and confident in the subject. Having both points of view, like in the first book, is such a fun way to gain insight into our two lead characters. I'm a fan of this approach to BDSM-centric books, because it makes consent and intent extremely clear.

**I received this book as an arc through NetGalley**
Eyes on Me was a great follow up book to Praise by Sara Cate! I loved Mia and Garrett as stand-alone characters and as love interested. The story was never dull and constantly kept me engaged. The step-sibling taboo was really well done and didn't feel gross or groomy in any way. The spice of this book was also top tier and I was obsessed with the Cam girl-Voyuer dynamic between Mai and Garret. This series keeps getting better and I am HOOKED. Also loved how this book starts off with the same scene as book 1 but from Garrett's POV adding more information from the story that we didn't get from Emerson. I 10/10 recommend this book to spicy-romance loving readers!

Overall: 9/10
Spice: 4.5/5

Before I started reading "Eyes on Me" I knew that it would have a certain level of "steam" and some scandalous themes... but I was not fully prepared for the s•x-positive, detailed, graphic nature of this book. Mia is 23. Garrett is 36. And their parents are married. So there's that.
Oh - and Garrett is a voyeur who owns a s•x club and Mia is an exhibitionist who works as a cam girl. Lots of moving parts (literally and figuratively) with this couple. There were definitely some authentic feelings here and there among the characters, but for the most part felt the story felt like a forbidden and fortuitous graphic explanation of their exploits. And most shockingly of all? THEIR PARENTS WERE OK WITH IT!!! I mean... what?!
There wasn't as much to the plot line and I found myself wishing there was more depth and growth with Mia and Garrett as well. Overall, I didn't hate it. But it was a bit too "out there" for me to say I liked it.
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca, Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Sara Cate is so deliciously filthy, I absolutely love it. Always willing to push against certain taboos with smarts and skill. She is definitely a writer whose book I always look for. Eyes on Me is part of her Salacious Players series which follows a group of friends who co-own a kink club. The whole series is worth a read and is a great introduction for folks who might be kink curious.
