I absolutely adore the cover of this book and it instantly made me want to read it. I'm not going to lie, as a fat girl a lot of the negative thoughts Rose has at the beginning of the book were triggering. The book does not shy away from difficult topics and most are handled with care. I was very frustrated by Angus not being better at communication despite being a therapist. I do think Rose and Angus had a wonderful connection and I enjoyed reading their story.

I love the representation in this book for larger women, and it was just cute. The writing was great and kept my attention and the cover is really cute with her on the front.

I loved the representation in this book body wise. I just loved the romance too and how he made her feel so safe and protected. Mental health rep is rarely in books too and I enjoyed it in this one

This was a new author for me and I really enjoyed this plus sized heroine romance! It was a slow burn between Rose and Angus. I enjoyed how we watched our characters grew and learned. Rose is quite insecure about her body at first, but learns to like it. Angus was so sweet and always liked Rose no matter what. He is grumpy but has a big heart. I think they balanced each other really well too. I thought this book was really well written and enjoyed it! The steam level was low but good! I def recommend this for all the plus sized gals!

"Curves for Days" is a great debut! The beginning was a little disorienting but took off quickly. I definitely underestimated it! Laura Moher did a great job writing protagonists who haven't had a perfect life or taken the usual path. I especially appreciated Rose's return to higher education as an adult.

The only downside was that I could feel the setup for the third act breakup. I was enjoying the book so much and was dreading that turn in the relationship! It recovered with more quality character growth.

I'll be looking forward to more from this author!

Curves for Days is such a lovely and heartfelt romance. This is the first novel I have read by Laura Moher, and it is sure not to be my last. Moher's writing is clear and casual, giving the perfect town for a small town romance. Moher's characters are interesting and dimensional and the small town world she builds in the novel is charming and such a lovely support system for the heroine and hero. Curves for Days is a well paced story that focuses on the heroine Rose who is at a cross point in her life.

I really enjoyed watching Rose build this new world and supportive friendship circle around her, as she learns to start over and tend to her needs. This novel blends humor and lightness with some past experiences that are darker and more complicated (definitely check any content notes-does deal with bullying, fat-phobia, ptsd, non consensual sex). The heart of this novel is really rooted in starting over and being true to yourself. Rose and Angus make the perfect pair as they work together renovating Rosie's new house. I really love watching them circle each other and be so attracted to the other without knowing or understanding how the other feels. I love that after they both open up to each other that they take their physical growth at a pace that works for them, and they never overstep the others boundaries. This novel is sexy and fun while still dealing with heavier topics and issues with a care that is understandable and relatable. Yes there are some misunderstanding that pull these two apart in a third act breakup, but they feel necessary and a place for growth for both of they so they can work through some of the self-worth issues they both have.

This book is sweet and sexy, and the hero loves the heroine's body and mind that give such a wonderfully body positive look to this story. I loved watching these two learn what matters in a relationship. I loved seeing them work through the value they both have and that love is not a tipping scale.

Definitely check this book out if it interests you, Laura Moher is definitely worth the read and I hope to get more romances within this world.

I always ask for stories with plus sized characters because I love representation. However sometimes those story lines focus entirely around whether or not the main character feels loveable based on their size. Some of that discussion was in here based on past events so I understand why it came up, thankfully it wasn't too distracting. I also enjoyed Angus was also plus sized, I love equal representation in romance! Mostly I'm excited for more books in this series because you could see where she was building in side character stories and I need to know what July is up to.

Absolutely adored this novel! Couldn't put it down and finished it within a day. The story had me hooked, the characters are the best and I was absolutely hooked with the way the romance developed and the friendships with the members of the town. FMCs development throughout the book was incredible and felt very realistic.
Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

This is one review I'm not really sure where to start. I was expecting a grumpy/sunshine, plenty of enemies to lovers banter and chemistry and a cute uplifting romcom with a sassy heroine reinventing herself in a new town after winning the lottery and falling head over house construction project for her contractor.
This story was that. But it was also verrrrrrry HEAVY. PTSD & SA were major plot points, mentioned constantly but at a surface level, both topics needed to be more than glossed over (and more than possible foundation projects with the FMC's lottery winnings). The reader doesn't get any insight into why the MMC is so hostile to the FMC in the beginning. And truly as the story goes on, even with his grumpy attitude, the two build such an amazing friendship before addressing feelings that the enemies to lovers stereotypes we would expect to see aren't present at all. (Also unrelated but I have to ask. What in the heck is a 'heavy library table?????' It was mentioned SOOOO many times!! 🤣)

The town that Rose ends up in feels very gilmore girls/Hart of Dixie esque and the community that she finds and builds is definitely something to write home about. I'm a suckered for found family for sure!

Overall this felt more women's fiction than romcom and thats okay. I think though you definitely need to be in the right mindset for this ine (and I think the content warning should have been present in the book rather than a check the website tagine in the summary), but overall it was a good book and I made it through in one sitting.

Thank you Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for the ARC in exchange for my review!

Funny. Simple. Amd lots of doing it.

First, I have no idea if it's possible to win 80 million dollar lottery or if something like that exists. But good for Rose. I actually liked bringing financial experts into picture because no common man will have an idea if they have a big pool of money.

The encounters of main characters is funny and mis-understandings is their trope, for real. I loved characterizations. Rosie being kind and sweet-hearted woman but who carry scars from the past. Angus, a big man baby and an army veteran. I loved their friends too.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. I would recommend to people looking for a light-hearted romance.

“Curves for Days” was a fun read. I think I had really high expectations & was really excited going into it but the pacing was sort of weird in the beginning. About 30% of they way through I think Moher hit her stride & I started to really love Angus & Rosie together. Although I liked it I think someone else could really, really love it & that’s why I would still recommend it.

P.S— check trigger warnings**

this was not a fluffy romance, as i thought it would be. But it realy worked for this book.
rose win 80 mil and is very over velmt whit all that money, and she dosent trust peapel, becors when they found out they all wantet the money, so rose need to learn to trust peapole and also find a way to be happy in her life she is given and when she meet a cute guy she is not sure she can trust him.
i realy liket the way she dosent meantien her sice all the time, becors most books were the main carecter is in a bigger body she mentions it all the time, but rose is comstepole in her size and it isent the big thing to drive the story

Oooo what a treat! I’ve been reading quite a few small town romances but this one stuck out for me.

I loved the thread of our main character Rose coming into some money and figuring out what to do with it throughout the story. (Personal finance nerd, hi!)

Add in our male love interest Angus, who is the softest, most patient blue collar man, & loves the softest parts of Rosie. SOLD!

I was really rooting for this couple and I loved all the side characters who rounded out the scene of this small town.

2.5 stars.
Only read about 50% of this, before it got taken away from me by Netgalley.
Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read an ARC of this book.

Books like this usually aren't my cup of tea, but this book intrigued me, so I decided to request it!
Glad I did, it was pretty good. Didn't finish it tho, my chronic pain flaring up last week stopped me from that...

I'll almost always pick up a book with fat rep, especially when it's so well done on the cover! While there was a lot of promise in this book, some of the mental health rep and assault-related topics weren't executed with care IMO. I also had trouble buying into August beyond his lust for Rose, even though I do love a nice grump/sunshine plot in general. That said, I did enjoy Rose's sassy behavior and how she learned to grow and love herself after trauma.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an advance copy.

I really love a romance book and the premise of this one sounded right up my alley. Unfortunately, quite early on in the book I found myself annoyed with the main characters and rolling my eyes.

Would definitely try a different book from this author though.

I enjoyed this. I liked that heavier topics were discussed as opposed to keeping things light and fluffy. Loved the MMC and FMC together. Any time there is a curvy FMC I am here for it. I already purchased this for my library's collection.

What a complicated romance to review. We follow Rose, a plus-size woman who wins the lottery and escapes her troubled past by settling in a small town where she meets Angus, a hardened war vet/therapist/handyman. This is a classic grumpy/sunshine story. Rose is great. She keeps the lottery winnings secret, for her own safety, after a few incidents back in her old town. Angus on the other hand, is more than grumpy. He's kind of just straight-up mean. However, his dedication to helping other military vets with mental health issues like PTSD is admirable and I commend the author for talking about this actual problem in this book. Still, it's not enough to make up for Angus's cold treatment of Rose at the beginning, and his weird complex about taking care of her and giving her money as the book goes on. He believes she is struggling with money because she has none, not because she has more than she knows what to do with. He is intent on "saving her" and never, ever actually communicates about the money with her. He throws baby tantrums about it, acknowledges how his behavior is sexist, and then does nothing to fix it. It was truly awful.

Also, Rose is dealing with trauma from an assault she experienced in her past, and while it is handled in an okay way, it also comes with no warnings. It simply appears. This leads to the author attempting to write some slow, more gentle spicy scenes. They are fine at first, and then just weird and uncomfortable. The word "nipple" is used excessively.

Ultimately, this is a book with great potential. Rose's story is interesting and she is so easy to root for. This is why I have to give this 2.5 stars. She deserves better than mean, possessive, savior-complex Angus. His behavior becomes unaccpetable while she only becomes a woman with plans, passions and goals.

I love a good plus size romance but at 20% in I found myself annoyed with both main characters. Angus has some kind of issue and gets unreasonably bent out of shape if someone does him a favor and Rose has clearly been living under a rock her entire life. Oh and Angus is a licensed therapist AND a licensed contractor.

I also did not get any serious vibes from this cover and dealing with PTSD and other military trauma was not what I was looking for at this time.

This copy was kindly given to me by Netgalley and the publisher for review. All opinions are my own.

I wanted to like this book more than I did. I don't know if it was my state of mind when I started it or I just didn't love it but I couldn't seem to fall into this book. I found myself skimming. That doesn't mean that it was bad book, just not the book for me. I like the slightly less traditional characters; the fact that the MF had reservation when it came to sex and that the MM respected that and they took things slow as they explored a relationship. what I didn't like wasn't even the fact that she kept her sudden wealth a secret (I would have) but how the main male character reacted to learning about it and then how she reacted to his reaction. Lost me at that point.
