I wanted to love this title - a curvy heroine reinventing herself? Yes, please! Unfortunately, the writing fell very flat for me and I strongly disliked the male main character after he found out about the FMC's lottery winnings.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC.

I, as a plus size woman, am always looking for more representation in the romance genre. I am always so excited to read about a fellow curvy girl finding love, and this book was no exception! This book was so sweet, delicious, heartwarming, and entertaining! Rosie is such a fun character, I love that she had many layers and her inner thoughts seemed real to me. I really liked Angus, but I did feel like his character was a bit immature for his age. I know he was battling some bad thoughts, but he really needs to learn how to communicate better. Other than that, I really liked their relationship progression and I really didn't mind the third act breakup. I'll definitely be looking to this author again!

Loved this book!

This was my first book by this author, and I can’t wait for more, especially in this series. Rosie and Angus’ story is so sweet and wonderful, I enjoyed them as people as well as a couple. I could see being friends with them, that’s how real they felt to me.

Rosie never let her windfall change her as a person, despite her own struggles with money all her life. She wanted nothing more than anonymity to do good things for others, and not be in a spotlight herself, since that turned out badly in Indianapolis. Galway is a new start, and Angus turns out to be a perfect fit for her, that is, once she is able to put aside her body insecurities and accept his feelings.

So looking forward to the next Galway book! Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. At first I didn’t think I was going to like it, but around 30% I started to enjoy it a lot more. It was really cute.

When Alice Rose wins the lottery her life will never be the same again. Will she be able to trust friends, family, and strangers that they have true honest intentions?

Will she be able to live life without feeling others expect her to share or give to help their causes?

Fear leads her to run away and it's only then that her life takes on a whole new direction. one that she can live with purpose and without worry.

When she meets Angus will she be able to trust him with the one thing that has prevented her from finding love, experiencing intimacy and feeling at ease?

A slow burn with spice in this opposites attract, strangers to lovers, forced proximity, grumpy sunshine, and so much more in the first installment in this new series.

Discover Galway, meet the residents, and hopefully you'll decide to stay for a while.

Grumpy sunshine romance novel set in a small town. Loved the plus size representation. It was honestly a good concept but it was difficult for me to get invested and to stay interested the whole way through. Sometimes the dialogue was a bit predictable and a little cringy at times. But as the character grew as a person, it did grow on me a little.

Wow, did I enjoy this book! The characters, the setting, I felt like I was reading a plus-size friendly Gilmore Girls. Rose was such a beautiful soul and I could not wait for her to get everything she deserved! After all that she'd been through and still having as lovely a heart as she did, I couldn't even handle the third act we all knew was coming. Angus was a kind and caring man with his own fair share of sad life events, but boy did he know how to get in his own way. I will say that, for calling July a best friend, they really didn't put any actual effort into being there for her in a clear moment of crisis. But overall, the story was very heartwarming!

As a plus size woman, the amount of representation showing up in books of all genres is sending my heart a flutter. I am so happy to see a HEA happen for someone like me. It’s very nice.

So meeting Rose and Angus in Curves for Days was such a delight. Especially when we watch them grow together and learn about each of them. Both from unfortunate circumstances, these 2 fall in a rhythm of love, physically and emotionally.

The spice this book contains is so hot and erotic. I think when a steamy scene is just that, full of steam and brings the intimacy, too, it gives the reader a deeper yearning towards the characters.

It is positively the sweetest spicy book I’ve read this month/year.

The plus size representation and the cover drew me in initially, but wow Rosie and Angus were amazing. As a plus size reader, I loved reading this book and felt very connected to the main character. It was a joy to read, and I loved the writing style and the pace of the story.

Rosie and Angus were so fun and cute together. Their chemistry was so genuine and palpable, and their banter was fire. They comforted me and it was inspiring to read how they found each other.

I highly recommend this one!

It’s always a gamble when reading an author’s debut novel but, Curves for Days by Laura Moher did not disappoint! This book was sweet, sassy, and just the right amount of spicy.

When Alice wins the lottery, she’s suddenly swarmed by people from her past, people who never used to care for her, and even ones who hurt her. She decides to leave her life behind and start over somewhere new where nobody will know who she is or how rich.

On her journey to escape, she falls in love with the charming town of Galway and its inhabitants. She makes friends for the first time and learns to love herself, her body, and even a certain grumpy contractor.

Overall, I was charmed by this book. The characters have a lot of depth and and the romance was realistic. There are a few minor CWs that Laura Moher has on her site so you may want to check those out if you know who have certain sensitivities!

Happy Reading!

This was a sweet romance that fell solidly down the middle of the line for me. The book is about two very complex characters falling in love and figuring themselves out. The FMC is strong and sassy while still battling a lot of old trauma and insecurities. Rose has a huge heart and is so open to new love and relationships that she immediately blossoms in her new home. She builds connections quickly and works towards things she has always wanted. I loved Rose. She was an excellent heroine that I wanted to protect and root for the whole time.

My real issue with this book was Angus. I think as the grumpy in this grumpy/sunshine love story, he could have used some work. The character jumps to horrible conclusions throughout the entire book and comes at everything with a savior complex, I don't think this is something he adequately worked through before Rose took him back.

Also, I think this book maybe took on a few too many issues to fully develop the story and characters as it could have. The pacing was a little choppy as well, but I think overall the book is such a sweet romance with amazing rep. I will never get tired of seeing women like me finding love and friendship and I adore a small-town romance WITH found family. Swoon.

Curves for Days by Laura Moyer was fun, romantic, and endearing. The town of Galway has so many special characters that I hope to read about them again.

The facts: grumpy vs sunshine, plus size main characters, friends to lovers, slow burn, etc.

After winning the lottery, Rose trades her old life with mean people with a small town with a grumpy contractor (Angus) who helps her with her house renovations.

This was super cute, wholesome, and fun. I loved how Rose and Angus learned to be happy with themselves. This had a lot of emotion in it, and I def cried a little bit. Our main characters both battled with issues, and it was wonderful to see them work through them and find love in each other. Angus was, to put it slightly, a bit of a butt towards the end (third act drama) but overall I really enjoyed this one!

Plus size representation matters, and this book did it so well! It was so sweet and romantic and the perfect read for a nice laid back weekend!

A cute romance story! I loved the main character and the plus size representation. It was a little cliched for a rom com but I enjoyed it as a good story with some spicy scenes.

Couldn't sleep last night so finished this in the middle of the night! :') Ironically, this is the second book I've read this month where the FMC wins the lottery! This book was so fun, had some great steamy scenes, while still dealing with some heavier topics. I am such a simp for a broody/grumpy MMC so I absolutely loved Angus. I really enjoyed the dual POV here and think it added so much to the story!

There were so many things to like about this book. At the very top of the list is Rose, a sweet, kind, but very lonely woman, who has so much to offer but so far in life has had nothing but difficult circumstances. She was raised by a teen mom/single parent who had no way to improve her own situation and then was mercilessly bullied in high school due to her weight to the point that she dropped out of school at 16, got her GED, but works as a waitress and is caught in the same cycle of poverty that her mom was. When she unexpectedly wins the lottery, she is suddenly hounded by everyone who ignored or bullied her and flees her small town to start over where no one knows her or her financial circumstances.

Rose finds herself in a small town in NC and quickly starts to form friendships, something she’s never had, while trying to figure out how to use her money to help people. There’s also Angus, the big, grumpy local guy contractor recommended to her to renovate the Victorian house she buys. Angus and Rose got off on the wrong foot, but as they work together, they both start to see through the surface layer to the person underneath and both love what they see…

Rose is like a person reborn, as the strong, determined woman that she has always been inside embraces her curves, signs up for college, and tackles every challenge thrown her way. Angus is a caretaker to his core, a veteran who treats other vets with PTSD, but who also believes that he has nothing worthy to offer other than his ability to help others with their problems. In Rose, he finally finds a partner who can draw out his laughter and playfulness and gives him hope for the future.

Of course, there’s a third act breakup, in this case due to the secret Rose has been keeping regarding her financial circumstances and Angus’s out of proportion reaction and feeling of unworthiness when he learns how little she “needs” him financially. This was the one weak spot in the book for me. Angus was so caring and so supportive with Rose that his reaction really made me dislike him. It was like he could only like her if she had some big flaw that he could fix. I get how this was driven by his own background but I still didn’t like it. Still, I adored Rose enough to overlook it and feel happy with the book overall. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.

That was such a delight! I loved how realistic the characters were and how they dealt with their problems in mature ways! Rosie and Angus came together as a couple well and I enjoyed seeing how their relationship developed along with their own character development. Rosie was also SUPER relatable for how I viewed myself as a bigger girl and it was good to see that represented in fiction. Looking forward to the next one in the series!
