4 This was a fun and enjoyable read. I find it hard to believe that someone close would not guess at mysterious powers - as a trope it's a bit worn for my liking. However I am always willing to suspend my pickiness when I enjoy a story. I received this as an advance copy from the author via NetGalley and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I am so happy with this series; I love books (of course!) and used to be a librarian, so this series really speaks to me. This latest has poor Josie trying to both keep her sister safe from a killer on the loose and keep secrets from her. I love how close they got, and I’m hoping we see more of Jean in the future. This latest installment has an interesting plot and I was engaged throughout the whole book, but I thought that the culprit was a little too convoluted. Besides that, this is a great addition to the series, and with that ending, I’m a little anxious to see how this will change the course of some things…I can’t say too much about it as I don’t give out spoilers. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Solid 4, I’d say. I love the inclusion of Josie’s sister but beyond that, it felt like the weakest entry in the series thus far. That not saying much, I really enjoy Sanders’ series. It’s probably one of my favorite cozy series! And maybe I’m also a bit salty about that last page but I won’t mention anymore on that. My only regret is that I have to wake up for work in the morning after staying up to finish reading.

Oh my goodness!! This is my favorite Witch Way Librarian series book yet!
Josie and the gang are back and ready to sleuth in Witch upon a Star in this installment and things are as magically chaotic as ever! We get to meet Josie’s sister Jean, learn more about their family history, see Josie come into her magic and of course…see them help Sam to solve a murder (or two!)
I love this series so much and cannot wait to see what Angela M. Sanders comes up with next!
5/5⭐️

Thank you to Netgalley and Kensington Books for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Witch Upon a Star by Angela M. Sanders is a great cozy mystery that is the fourth book in the wonderful Witch Way Librarian Mysteries series.

I have really been enjoying this whole series. I am very selective with my cozy mysteries, and even more so with paranormal cozies. I am so glad that I started reading this one from Book One…and have never missed an installment.

I love libraries, books, cozies, cats, and witch-themes as long as they are overall good (vs evil or scary). This book checks all of those boxes.

I enjoyed the murder/mystery yet again, the full cast of characters, the MC Josie, amd I enjoyed the ending. I really like the direction that this is going, and I am definitely looking forward to the next book.

I enjoyed this book. I thought the scene when the killer is trying to kill the two main characters is a little contrived, especially the bit when Jean’s eyes telling her to trust her. I was not expecting the twist with the killer. I think the story has a lot of twists and it keeps it moving.I loved the ending. #WitchuponaStar #NetGalley

Another winner in the Witch Way Librarian Series. While this is the fourth book, could easily be read as a standalone but you'll be searching out the backlist of this enjoyable series.

Josie's "baby" sister Jean is attending a life coach seminar at a nearby retreat and visiting Josie as she does so. Josie's mom thinks its a con and Josie has her reservations about it as well especially when she finds out the cost. But Jean feels this is what her calling is and believes it could be her jumpstart to a better future. Josie's Mom asks her not to tell Jean about her magic as she feels that Jean is already struggling with self esteem when comparing herself to her two sisters.

Jean's visit starts off with a bang-at the reopening of the local cafe, a murdered body is discovered. And later, a suspicious death occurs at the retreat. Then Jean gets threatening notes as well and Josie feels the need to get involved although she is keeping the local sheriff mostly apprised of what is happening.

A well plotted mystery that keeps you reeled in, And I love the people who inhabit this world and how Josie's magic manifests.

Kindle Copy for Review from NetGalley and Kensington Books.

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Nothing says murder as it strikes the opening of a retreat center.

Josie the spellbinding librarian is excited to show the place to her sister even if she has to hide her abilities from her. A dead man stabbed will dampen the mood and soon a string of bodies are found.

Things will be out of control as our witchy librarian will soon find out as the killer calling card is reveal.
A witchy mystery that will keep you enchanted to the end.

Sanders has given us another puzzling and delightful addition to this series. We learn a little more about Josie and watch her solve yet another murder mystery. Cozt mystery fans will enjoy this series, which I often recommend.

I really enjoyed this entry in the Witch Way Librarian series, it had a great concept for a cozy mystery. I had enjoyed the previous three books so it was a joy to continue this series. I enjoyed the way Angela M. Sanders wrote this, the characters felt like real people and I was invested in their story. I loved the idea of magic users in this world. It was what I was hoping for and glad I got to read this.

"Mom had been clear: Keep an eye on Jean and Under no circumstances tell her you’re a witch. She hadn’t said anything about teaming up on murder investigations. Sam had also been clear: Keep your nose out of the investigation, or Jean is going to jail. I suppressed a flicker of excitement. “Are you sure? It’s risky. What if Sam finds out and takes you into custody?”
