I have been a fan of Meg Adams for YEARS now and so when this comic collection was announced, I was so excited and proud of her!! This is such a great compilation of some of her best works online, but she's also put a lot of comics that are new to me as a diehard fan. What I loved most is that the collections follows a timeline through the seasons where we begin in summer and wind all the way through holidays and seasons to end up at spring. Meg does such a great job of drawing light and fun comics but she also is not afraid to talk about her mental illness journey as well. She's one of my favorite online creators and I highly recommend you follow her!

"Why Are You Like This?: An ArtbyMoga Comic Collection" by Meg Adams is a delightful and relatable exploration of the ups and downs of adulthood, marriage, and self-discovery. This collection of comics earns a well-deserved four-star rating for its humor, authenticity, and the ability to capture life's quirks with a millennial perspective.

Meg Adams, through her vivacious and humorous artistry, brings to life the everyday struggles and joys that many millennials can identify with. The themes of marriage, adulthood, pet ownership, self-love, and self-care are approached with a refreshing take, making the comics not only funny but also remarkably relatable.

The strength of this collection lies in its ability to tackle common questions and dilemmas faced by millennials in a light-hearted yet insightful manner. The dynamics between Meg, the extrovert, and her introvert husband, Carson, add depth to the humor, creating a charming contrast that resonates with readers.

The comic strips successfully navigate a range of topics, from the mundane decisions of daily life (like who should remember the reusable shopping bags) to more profound subjects like anxiety. The relatability factor is heightened by Meg's willingness to explore and poke fun at her own quirks and experiences, fostering a sense of connection with readers.

The blend of dorky and downright hilarious moments, coupled with the exploration of self-deprecating humor, contributes to the charm of "Why Are You Like This?" It serves as a reminder that finding laughter in the little things can be a powerful antidote to life's challenges.

In conclusion, Meg Adams has crafted a comic collection that not only entertains but also resonates with the millennial generation. "Why Are You Like This?" is a joyful exploration of self-awareness, friendship, and the humor found in the quirks of daily life, making it a highly recommended read for those seeking a lighthearted yet meaningful escape.

Oooo I loved this, SO funny and so relatable 😍
My favorites were the comics about the outdoors 😅 and all the problems associated with them (bugs, allergies, sunburn etc) - which all feel very relevant as I read this on summer holiday.
I actually was lucky enough to recieve an ARC of this digitally but stupid me didn’t get around to downloading it quick enough, so I read this in paper form and it’s beautifully done.
Thank you anyway NetGalley and the publisher. And thank you Meg!

This was requested when I first found out about NetGalley and I had requested so many ARCs that I could not get to all of them before they were archived. I really wanted to get to this one, as it seemed interesting. If I can find this somewhere for a reasonable price, I will try to get it! I am giving this book three stars, as I don't want to give it a good or bad rating, since I did not get to it and we have to leave a star rating.

This is a charming little book of comics that I really enjoyed. I wasn't familiar with Meg Adams before picking this up, but I now I follow her on Instagram and especially like the comics she makes on mental health.

I didn't like the first pages. I really didn't like and felt disconnected. So I tried a bit more but I just felt like it really wasn't for me. The vibes were off which is pretty sad since I really liked the title. DNF

Thank you to Netgalley for this arc.

While I am thanking Netgalley for this arc, I was unable to access it. For some reason, I could not open any version of the book. It makes me really sad to write this. So I am only rating the book because Netgalley said I have to

Super relatable.
Love the weirdly cute interactions.
A few repeats from seeing on social media but mostly new (to me) comics.
Only deducted a point because the way noses are drawn creeps me out a little.

This was a cute little collection of comics about relationships. Not a whole lot to say outside of that. It was enjoyable.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

The best kind of funny.
Relatable, zany, and somehow both incredibly self-aggrandizing and self-deprecating... which is also super relatable.
