I LOVE this. I absolutely loved reading through this with my husband. We relate so hard to Meg and Carson. We are them and they are us! It was funny, so relatable, and I loved the drawings.

Adorable. I absolutely loved this book, and I’m probably going to buy it for my friend for her birthday.

I love the artwork, it’s simple, but perfect. It captures the real feeling behind every day situations. I also just love how it’s just everyday things we all go through, and that there are some serious parts mixed in with the silly. Very cute book.

This was charming, but not especially standout in any way. Lots of overdone "so quirky" millennial white woman energy - and done well, mind you! The art is bright and expressive, and even the tired humor has a certain well-trod fun to it. One notable feature is a greater emphasis on themes of self-care/self-love than other collections out there, although not always integrated smoothly. A great pick for fans of Sarah Scribbles.

I follow Meg on Instagram and love her style of drawing. This was just as hilarious as her regular posts, but condensed into a book. Would recommend!

These slice-of-life comics followed Meg, her husband, and her two dogs and were so entertaining and unique.

In this emotional roller coaster across all seasons, you get a collection of relatable, educational, and empowering comics, peppered with dark humour.

The facial expressions were so expressive and quirky. Very well done.

An enjoyable read for a rainy day.

Why Are You Like This? is an adorable slice of life comics collection by Meg Adams detailing the small moments in her life with her husband, Carson, and their two dogs.

I loved this collection! The comics are laid out according to seasons, starting with a few comics about fall and ending on Valentine's Day/Mother's Day (coinciding with the March release) and I really enjoyed that. There was no reason to split the comics by their content, since a lot of it is just slice of life and memes, but having them organized by season made me feel like I was going through the year with Meg and Carson as they navigated life. I also loved the way Meg Adams illustrates herself and her husband, some of the comics have a lot of detail for both of their characters, but there's also a simplified model of each of them that are just as enjoyable to look at.

Some of the content was just utterly wholesome. Meg spent a few panels talking about body positivity/body neutrality and her relationship with her body, including ones where she illustrates herself with stretch marks along her thighs. I've not seen this in a comic collection recently and I just really, really enjoyed that extra layer to make this more than just lighthearted entertainment. Instead, I think this collection is something that I'd recommend to anyone who is craving a realistic representation of becoming an adult and realizing your body is just a body and you don't have to be hyper-critical of it or tie it to your self worth.

I really enjoyed this collection! I'm so glad I got the opportunity to review it and I plan on following the artist on Instagram for more comics and because I enjoyed the art style so much.

Oh my god this ways so cute! I related to so much!! I was laughing out loud!!! This is a graphic novel basic ally about being an adult and married life and I’m obsessed with it! I hope she comes out with more this was so cute!

I couldn’t ask for a funnier or more relatable comic. I adore Meg’s art style and that she does not take herself seriously at all. Her dynamic with her husband is exactly like mine. I will read and love whatever she puts into the world.

I love these types of graphic novels/comics and the art style is super bubbly cute, with lots of derp squishy faces. Seeing the the comic with her dogs I related so hard with having a young puppy, also the joke about it being 40 F and her husband not wearing a coat. The text then says “Laughs in Canadian”, I was so close to rolling off my bed. Just a feel good read for when you want some laughs and something to relate to.

Honestly, this should be called “Yeah Girl, Same” because …. Yeah girl, same. A fun collection of ARTBYMOGA’s work, a lot of relatable stuff, and I really enjoy her take on body positivity. I’ve been a reader for a long time and it’s really nice to see her art get a nice bind-up!

Why Are You Like This? Is a funny, down to earth graphic novel that shows the amazing awkwardness we all experience in everyday life. I loved how relatable the content is, and felt everyone could find themselves on the pages, especially when she starts comparing herself an extrovert to her husband a token introvert. This graphic novel focuses on small moments Meg and her Husband Carson face in everyday life.

The colour were bright and happy, and the facial expressions on Meg and Carson's faces really made this book a lot of fun. Adding in two adorable dogs, and this book is a recipe for a good time.

While this book did make me smile, I wish I could have seen more into the lives of Meg and Carson and not just little moments and memories throughout a year of their life. They touched on many things I related to including; decorating for halloween ASAP, ignoring instructions such as hand washing at item of clothing, the realities of finally graduating from college, and the importance being kinder and loving ones self.

If you are in the mood for a quick graphic novel with fun illustrations, and quirky characters that are very relatable I would recommend checking this out!

I've spent the whole book saying, it's me. It's a wonderful set of short stories, with which you feel totally identified. The book is so funny and relatable. Loved it. 120% recommended

This was such a relatable read that had me laughing so hard I was crying! I loved the artwork and a lot of the facial expressions were just hilarious. Read parts of this with my husband and he kept pointing out how much they reminded him of our relationship. Overall a very cute and fun read that will having you laughing out loud!

Why Are You Like This? by Meg Adams is a relatable and cute book that can be read in one sitting. I like this book but it reminds me so much of a book that the same publisher has published before but it was written and illustrated by a different author/illustrator. The style is too similar and stories are very similar too that for a second I really thought it was from the same author. So, that was that.

All in all, this is a short, light and fun read. Sort of relatable and amusing. I like it.

Meg Adams is a hilariously witty and talented artist, whose relatability has won many fans over both online and when they read this book! Through pages of delightful and at times frites caricature we could only use portray ourselves, the author produces art that can only make one exhale loudly through their nose in agreement and amusement. Mrs. Adams has a lot of promise for future graphic novels and I will be waiting!

I love this artist! I've been following her on IG for years so to see that she has a book coming out is super exciting and I jumped on it.

If you know her style, you'll know what you're getting into, but millennial humor, a bit of uplifting content, and fun relatable stuff. Idk, it's a short but fun read!
