I love this series. Lots of paranormals for everyone. This time it's Ren a jaguar shifter and his human friend Grace. She's friend zoned him, but when they have to share a bed and there's danger around lines blur and love comes.

This is Rena and Grace's story. A pretty quick read. Grace and Ren finally admit their feelings to each other and there is a HEA. 4 stars

Grace has had a crush on Ren for quite some time. At the beginning of the book, she decides that she’s going to lay it all out there. She’s going to go for it & tell Ren exactly how she feels about him. Her plans are derailed when she heads to his home & finds him hugging a woman. Her hopes & dreams of being with Ren are instantly dashed. It seems that all they will ever be is friends. Ren wants Grace with a fierceness that surprises even him, especially after what he’s gone through in the past.

This is a rather short review because it was a rather short book. I would say that it is more a novella than a full-length book. I didn’t really connect with either Ren or Grace. There was no backstory into Ren’s past. They got together fairly quickly, then the book just ended. It wasn’t a bad book, it just wasn’t my favorite in the series.

It was fast-paced, super steamy and kept my attention. I didn't want to put it down. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is #7 in the Ancients Rising series. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.

Love this series and the newest addition is no exception. Ren & Grace's story is a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. You get all the good stuff (romance, villains and dragonlings) in a fast-paced novella. Loved everything about it and now to patiently wait for the next addition.

Ancients Rising is one of my favorite paranormal series. Ancient Sentinel is novella length and tells the friends to lovers story of Ren and Grace. As always we see the usual set of regular characters and are introduced to some new, including more baby dragons! A good, quick read - I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

This novella was pretty cute. It focuses on some side characters from previous books. Took me a minute to remember who each was, but their relationships to other characters was defined fairly quickly.

I am always happy to have more characters in this universe.

I love the friends to lovers genre or in this case friends to mates. I can picture how beautiful Ren must be in his jaguar form. I really like him. He is very protective and very jealous. And Grace is so sweet while still going after what she wanted and I admire that about her. They are so great together and you can see and feel that they were meant to be because they are perfect for each other. Can’t wait to see what’s next in this amazing series! Each new step into this world makes me wish it was real all the more. Katie has a great imagination.

Wonderful read. Grace and Ren are mates, only they don’t know it. Read their story and how they found their way to each other, despite the obstacles!

This was yet another short and sweet installment in this Ancients Rising series. This series has somehow convinced me that post-apocalyptic books aren’t all bad (or all zombies and marauders).

Ren has been being a good friend to Grace since he saved her from attackers. They have a wonderful relationship but they are both (unbeknownst to each other) hoping for more. Ren is hesitant to make a move because Grace very loudly swore off guys. Grace is hesitant to make a move because she doesn’t believe he could be interested in her. While Ren is a shifter, that really isn’t big news or a secret in this world where supernaturals are common enough. It takes a road trip, lots of pushing from their friends and family, and another life-or-death situation to get these two to take the leap.

The romance and wrap up happen quickly, so you get a nice HEA without much frustration in this one. I liked seeing familiar faces, getting fun banter, and some good sizzle. Overall another great, short, sweet romance.

I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Ancient Sentinel through Net Galley . I really enjoyed reading this story . This is the seventh book in the Ancients Rising series . It's fantastic . This story is after the fall and the humans now know of the Paranormals . The city of New Orleans is being rebuilt . Grace has a crush on Ren a jaguar shifter and her friend . When a mistaken moment happens she feels like he's not interested in her . Ren is ready to make his interest known to Grace . They go on a work trip together and while they work on a relationship they run into so danger Ren will do his best to protect Grace so they can build a life together . This story is entertaining and intriguing with a bit of action and suspense . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Ren is a jaguar shifter who has fallen for Grace even though they have been just friends for a while. And while he wants more with her, he also doesn't want to push her into something that she isn't ready for. Grace has finally gotten the nerve up to tell Ren that she wants to be more than friends when she see's something and misconstrues it. When King sends them on a mission, it gives them both the chance to show each other what they want and to work through any issues they may have.

I loved this story! Ren has always been this super sweet man that I wanted to know more about, and had hoped he would get the HEA he deserved. I am so glad that he and Grace get that together! Grace is super sweet but also has this spine of steel, all while doing what needs to be done even when she is afraid. I loved how their story plays out, and how they manage to figure out how to be together all while solving the mystery of what is going on. And while this is a novella (and I always hope for a longer story), it doesn't detract from the story in any way nor leave you hanging. Now I have to hope that a certain vampire gets his story, because I seriously need for him to get a HEA!! And the Magic Man as well!!

Action packed, tantalizingly sexy and heart racing adventure filled with dangerous charters, heart breaking secrets, emotionally thrilling twists and undeniable passion. Was an edge of your seat emotionally thrilling roller-coaster journey that was so hard to put down.

Love the Ancient Rising series! Ren and Grace are the MM and MF. They are great together and crushing on each other. This is a novella and it is still a great and sweet read. Ren is a jaguar shifter who is laid back and charming. He is a great friend to Grace even though he knows she is his mate. Grace has sworn off men and feels like Ren doesn't like her more than a friend. He finally lets her know she is his. Grace is sassy and makes this enjoyable! God, I love her grandmother!! It is a great short read and is fun and romantic..I can't wait for more in the series to come!! As always Katie Reus is a one-click buy for me and love supporting an author even for an advanced read.

Ren and Grace have incredible chemistry that is both sexy and sweet. This is a fast read that packs a punch. There's action, suspense, and humor to go with the romance. We see old characters and new. There are a few that are involved in the mystery that seem like they could be more important in the future. I love the way the author sets things up for the future in a way that isn't overly obvious. The world building that has went into this series is phenomenal. Another great read!

Ancient Sentinel by Katie Reus is part of the Ancients Rising Series that keeps getting better and better with each book. Ren and Grace have been friends for a while dancing around their true feelings for each other. It is time that they faced those feelings, so this is their story.

A sweet and passionate tale with just the right amount of danger and suspense thrown in. The setting has been intricately created so that it is easy for the reader to jump back into with these characters.

Ancient Sentinel is a page-turner that will have you smiling by the end. While you can read this paranormal romance on its own, it will make you want to read them all.
