This book was great! It was well written and I liked the main characters. The alien prince was real cute and the spice was on point. I feel like it is different from a lot of other alien romance books (at least many that I´ve read), in that the views of women and relationships were more progressive, which I really enjoyed. Another positive thing for me was that the premise of this story wasn't kidnapping humans, which it tends to be in many other books.
I would recommend this for everyone that is looking for a sweet, comfy alien romance with a little spice!

I love a good alien romance so when I saw this one I wanted to give it a read.

Overall, I liked the characters but felt that the story fell a bit flat.

The miscommunication/lack of communication trope was definitely the star here, and I wished the main characters would just sit down and have a discussion. It got a bit frustrating.

I enjoyed where the story went and it was a really quick read.

Also, while this is an ARC copy, there were a lot of editing issues including names/pronouns that were mixed up which cause a bit of confusion while reading.

I have to admit I’ve read a fair few Alien romance stories with spice and whilst this doesn’t rank in the top, it certainly sits comfortably in the middle.

The story is about a woman Katy who after being stood up at the alter is persuaded by her sister to join her on an adventure sponsored by the government to an alien planet.
All is not what it seems when they arrive and find out they have been duped by the human government. They find out that only woman have been sent and are to be exchanged for special metals. The planet is desperate for woman to take part in a breeding programme to stop them from going extinct.
This was a quick and fun read for me. I was able to read in a couple of hours. The spicy scenes are told from both the female and male point of view.
I did feel the story was missing a little something. I do feel that this story could have a lot more potential going into the next book. I do feel that it could benefit from another round of edits too.

First time reader of this author, and I was pleasantly surprised. While alien romances are not my usual read, sometimes a girl just wants fantasy. While there are some issues I had with the story, I did remind myself that this is simply a way to get away from daily life and that is exactly what I did with this book. Katy and her sister find out they have been tricked yet the differences in their reaction to their situation were totally opposite. If you like heavy romance this is your book.

This started out really promising but the writing took away from that.

Katy was left before she even made it down the aisle. Having to deal with the financials on her own, debt doesn’t begin to cover what she’s in. When her sister convinced her to go to space fora year, she’s all in. Drex, Xavian Prince, is looking forward to his men having women of their own to add to their dying race. It’s just too bad Earth didn’t tell the women what they were in for.

Loved the plot! Even the connection between Katy and Drex is so sweet, even though she denies it. I felt all the emotions with Drex - he is such a sweetheart.

That said, I feel like if this was revised, it would be amazing! There were a few parts where names were mixed up which made it confusing.

I am usually a sucker for an alien romance.

However something about this left me unsatisfied.

I struggled to warm to the heroine. She came across as a bit cold and judgmental at times.

At the start of the book she is left practically at the alter and it is her younger sister who pretty much sorts it all out and supports the heroine for a year - yet the heroine seems to think her sister is almost a child - thinking that when the sister applied to go to the alien planet she should have "nipped it in the bud" and "refused to let her apply at all."

She also seems to judge the sister - thinking that the government probably had not even had to lie to the sister about the real reason they were being sent to Xavia as the sister would be totally on board with alien sex, she always got "close fast to her boyfriends" and this little titbit when thinking about her sister "One planet or another, it was all the same. Good sex was good sex. Honestly I was a little annoyed. Our government had dropped us off to have sex with these men, and my sister's promiscuity made her seem complicit."

Then she runs away - knowing that there are evil flying monsters about, not having an idea where she is going leading to the hero having to save her and pretty much offer himself up as a sacrifice for her to get away - and when the hero nervously asks if she is going to run away again she thinks "Good. He should be nervous. I'm not his and he should wonder what I'm going to do because I'm my own person" - like OK love, but this guy was willing to sacrifice himself for you when he had known you for a couple of hours, despite him being the Prince and Leader of his people, a people who are dying and need all the leadership and hope they can get. She of course runs away a second time closer to the end of the book and has to be saved again by the hero.

The Hero was ok - but he felt at times a bit juvenile almost and loved a bit of self-flagellation.

All in it was an ok read- I found myself skimming towards the end as it was a bit repetitive. But I think when I read an alien romance I prefer the hero to be a bit more alpha warrior/space pirate-y like, or a "me tarzan you jane" situation - which probably says a lot more about me than this book!

My first Sci-Fi Romance of the 2023! It was pretty enjoyable, decent characters, a really nice world, good mix of cultures, etc. I did feel that it lacked slightly in the plot outwith their romance department, there was the opposing species as there usually is in this genre but I didn't feel like much progress was made in that, or there wasn't really a moment where that all came to a head. Everything definitely revolved around the romance...which isn't a bad thing but just meant it lost a bit of the spark for me.
One thing I did ADORE about this book was the Xavians as a race. This author really took the phrase best things come in three's seriously, three tongues...three *other* parts of their anatomy...
It was amazing! It made the sex super fun, different, and so much experimentation with the differences between the humans and the Xavians. It really off-set the mild lack of exterior plot to have such a well developed alien race and their cultures.
There was definitely a HEFTY amount of miscommunication in this book...which isn't usually for me and did start to annoy me near the end, but overall not too bad.
Overall a solid 3 star. If you are an alien porn addict like myself then definitely check this out, just for how unique their species was and the creativeness of the author, but if you're not really into the genre I'd probably start out with something a bit more humanoid before venturing here.

First, I’m always grateful to have the opportunity to read an eARC copy. I give this 3.5 stars. This was a short, fun and steamy story. I like it, and it was like a paladar cleanser after some heavy books that I just finished before reading this ARC. There were some orthographic mistakes , but overall the premise was good, it kept me interested and I finished this in 2 days. I love short chapters. I enjoy the slow burn at first, and then their passion and time together. It wasn’t heavy, and I like how she was interested in everything evolving Drex and like to help with what she can at the moment. Drex was so sweet since the beginning. He just want for her to be easygoing, confortable and after all the misinformation that Katy have about going there he was just trying his best to make her feel secure.

What I don’t enjoy that much was that it had to many details about her sister Sara and her couple Vance. I doesn’t leave what her relationship with him it will be if there is going to be a book about her. Like right now I know every important detail about them, and their easiness in their relationship since the begging. Too many details about them, it doesn’t leave me intrigued about them.

My Alien Prince hit the spot. It was exactly what I have been in the mood to read. If you enjoy Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon, The Krinar Chronicles by Anna Zaires you should read this book.

The main character Katy is great. She has flaws and she knows it. Which is wonderful for character development. Throughout the book she over comes her baggage. The reality of living on a foreign planet Xavia.
I loved the relationship between Katy and her sister Sara. Would’ve liked more info on their parents and upbringing.

Drex, “Well, we were going to treat them better than their own government. That was for sure.”
The prince aka Drex is definitely an introvert. Easy to love character. He doesn’t go through any big character development. He is a well written character. A good bromance between Drex and Vance.

Plot is good but the writing is messy. It didn’t distract me too much but it was noticeable. The world building was done well. I enjoyed the little details that made the planet Xavia easy to visualize.

If you want a fun alien romance I would recommend this book.

Warning!!! This is not a book you want to miss!!! Katy along with a group of women were offered to take a year paid trip to an alien planet to promote interstellar tourism. However, this particular trip did not go according to plan!

The Xavians have a crisis of their own. Their entire race is dying as a result of an invasion that primarily targeted the female population of their people. Prince Drex wants to save his people, so he participated in what he was told was a trade program, but with the women as knowing potential partners to the available - and very fit - bachelors of the Xavian race. Now left with no way home or to contact earth, Katy and the women with her must make the best of the situation.

To summarize, after essentially being traded by earth as unknowing wombs-for-rent in exchange for essential goods not available on earth, Katy must spend a year with the Prince Of Xavia as a guest in his home.

I loved the story of Katy and Drex so much! Katy has interstellar baggage and trust issues; and Drex has dreams of finding his soul mate. The author, Reverie Harwood, did such a phenomenal job of of blending a great plot with amazing spice and wholesome characters.

For the critical stuff: I found only six typos in the whole book - It's a superpower I sometimes wish I didn't have, but they stand out to me like a bullseye. Aside from that, I have nothing to criticize! This book was amazing!

If you are looking for a great spicy romance with wholesome men of your dreams that treat their women like queens, this book is definitely for you! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and will be on the lookout for more books by Reverie!

My Alien Prince gives heavy Ice Planet Barbarian vibes, but I feel like any Alien romance might do that for me at this point. I definitely did not think I'd enjoy this type of romance, but here we are!

Katy's world is an interesting... mystery to me? I feel like we could've gotten more out of that at the beginning of the book. I feel like the timing is off and pacing is strange.

Drex's story is very flat and basic, but I still enjoy his character nonetheless. Obviously the book wouldn't work without him!

The pacing, timing, and editing of this book could use some work but the bones of it are a great beginning for a wonderful book.

In all honestly this book was not for me. The blurb had potential but as a whole it felt like it didn’t flow.

Katy seemed so adamant at being against the host aliens in the beginning than completely switched sides.. I wish there was more of a lead up to their feelings and relationship.

Instead she went from completely rejecting the host aliens and especially Drex, to than jumping straight into bed with Drex, after a sort of reassuring “these aliens are great” discussion with her sister.

Steamy, charming, fate, and happy endings! And don't forget the Aliens, sexy, smart and sexy Aliens. Woah.

This is the first book from this author I have read, and I am fairly new in the world of alien smut, but honestly, I think I am about to go deep down a rabbit hole and this book 👌 😘 🔥

This book wasn't a long read, approximately 200 pages on my iPad mini and only took me around 2 hours to read. But I was hooked from the get-go and loved every moment of the book. The only downfall was I felt like there could have been a lot more of the book. The story could have gone more in-depth into the development of the characters and their relationship as well. But I am still waiting for more, so when is the next one? 😂

A disastrous break-up leads to Katy following her sister Sara into a cultural outreach program to the distant planet of Xavia. When Katy and Sara arrive however, they are shocked to learn that their government has sold them to the native population as breeding mates for rarer metals needed on earth. The Xavians too are shocked when they realize that the earth women were lied to about the nature of the exchange. Trying to make the best of their situation while avoiding attacks from hostile creatures, Katy moves in with Drex and the two begin a life together. But as their relationship grows more intimate, Katy will have to decide what she wants for her future and whether she intends to stay in Xavia.

There was a lot of interesting world building in this story. The fact that the hostiles had driven the Xavians into hiding in small underground houses far from one another made this feel a little like a pandemic novel. The level of technology being comparable to earth's was also a surprise. For those interested in alien smut, this book also delivers.

The premise of this is promising, but the execution is a bit off. The dialogue felt forced and the book didn’t flow. Unfortunately, this one just didn’t donut for me.

This story follows Katy who has been left at the alter on her wedding day with no explanation from her fiancé. After a year of working to recover from her broken heart and trying to piece her life back together, she joins her sister, Sara, on an 18 month getaway to the planet Xavian. Upon arrival, they discover the circumstances of their trip were not all revealed to them and Katy has to deal with that while still healing and trying to adjust to being on a new planet. She finds herself living with Drex, the Xavian prince, who is struggling in his new role in leading his people and having confidence in his abilities to lead them.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were likable and had good distinguishable personalities. I especially loved Drex and Vance, his close friend and advisor. The premise of the story was also somewhat different from other alien romances that I have read, which usually involve humans who were kidnapped from Earth.
The reason for only a three star rating is because it could really benefit from another round or two of editing and proofreading. There are quite a lot of instances of wrong word usage (her instead of him, had instead of hadn't, and switching Katy's & Sara's names), repeated lines or paragraphs (where the wording was changed but the previous edit was left in), as well as some switching from past to present tense. It wasn't enough to make me stop reading, but often brought me out of the story. If these problems were fixed, it would get a solid 4 stars.

This was a short read that had a cast of quirky characters. I'm such a sucker for alien romance and this one hit a lot of good marks for me, but I also found myself wishing the characters had just a little bit more time to develop their relationship. It felt like they had so much potential but unfortunately just fell a little flat. I think a slower pace with more spaced out action would have given them just that little bit of extra room for me to become more attached to them.

Other than that it was an enjoyable read that I binged in a few hour period.

This was a cute low stakes alien romance that reminded me of The Clecanian Series but Victoria Aveline. The world building was interesting and I hope that in future book it will build on the new planet and what will happen with the other alien species. I like the female main character, her devotion to her sister and her steadfast bravery in the face of finding out she had basically been sold by her own country. I don't know if I would recommend this book as I have read other series with this same premise that was done a little better, but I will read the next book in the series that comes out to see how the story progresses.

What can I say? I enjoyed this alien book far more than I thought I would.

Katy was a fun character who clashed well with Drex throughout the book. This book did have the miscommunication troupe which I was nervous about, but it ended quickly. The idea of Rotha was also interesting to me as I really didn't think it was going to work with humans, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The smut was very interesting to read as there were key differences with human anatomy when it came to this alien species. I also really enjoyed the idea of the earth's government in general selling out a bunch of women for some mineral. I did wish the ending gave us an insight to if there were any consequences to that deal gone wrong.

This book does need another once over before it is published completely. A lot of typos, repeating words, repetitiveness when it came to some dialogue (It would says "I think Drex loved me. 'i love you katy'.") It was a little distracting at times, but nothing that a editor couldn't fix.

Interested on if this becomes a series. Would give a sequel a chance.
