Even though the version I was given lacks thorough corrections, I've unexpectedly have enjoyed it a lot. I've loved the story and I am so eager to keep reading and hopefully discover more about all the side characters.
Drex was amazin', Katy was relatable, and thank God for Sara and Vance.

I am intrigued by this new series.

2 ⭐️ Wonderful premise, horrendous writing.

First of all, I want to say that I read this as an eARC provided by Net Galley, which I’m always so grateful for and excited. Getting Advanced Copies of books is one of my favourite things in the world – and hopefully that was what this was. A very early copy.

The premise here reminded me so much of Choosing Theo, which is my absolute favourite alien romance ever, and even though this definitely had the right vibe, the writing really brought this book down. It felt like a rough first draft. There were repeated paragraphs where only two or three words changed, with grammar and spelling mistakes everywhere... Even to the point where the author gets the names of the FMC and the FMC’s sister confused. I’m going to leave some instances of the mistakes that made this book really not work for me, because I think it’s a clearer way to express my thoughts.

Chapter 12: “He crouched down by the bedside so that his head was by my crouch.”
This one was honestly just funny. I literally laugh out loud, because the spelling mistakes were everywhere, but this one’s trying to be hot and… well… the word crotch is not particularly appealing to begin with, but crouch is just funny. Especially since the word is used literally in the same sentence correctly. In general, the vernacular used during the steamy scenes was kind of strange, and the word 'trunk' is used way too often.

Chapter 22: “I wished we had done this much earlier, before we had lost so many people, but at least we had it now. It was a wonderful gift Sara had given us. I would be forever grateful for them and for her.”
Drex here is talking about the female protagonist - the one taking the photos that are here being praised - which is Katy, not her sister Sara.

Chapter 27: “She hadn’t said so, but that seemed to be here goal.”
So yeah, just mistakes like ‘here’ instead of ‘her’ - and maybe one wouldn't matter, but I feel like there was at least one like this in every chapter.

I truly hope this book gets a revision with a decent editor on board, because my recommendation right now would be to not purchase or waste your time reading this one.

I tried. I really did. But I just couldn’t get through this. I was told it was good and if I liked those “other blue aliens” I’d like this one too. But sadly they were mistaken.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Books Go Social for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the first in a new series. A sort of convoluted plot, but still interesting and fresh. I liked it. Just remember to keep an open mind. 3.5 stars

Earth women duped into going to the planet Xavia. Thinking they were there for a working holiday. But in fact are there to breed with the Xavians a dying race. Well written, steamy, and a HEA.

Let me start off by saying:

THIS was the weirdest peen I’ve ever come across.

It was so weird, so monstrous, that it was borderline horrifying? Which was so much fun 🤣 Apparently there’s a 69 themed novella with this author’s newsletter and..😳 I’d read it.

If I had known that the most bonkers alien peen of all time was coming down the plot pipeline, I probably would’ve had a better reading experience. This is a book you read for the bizarre steam (think: every hole is a goal 😆), not for the sci-fi world building.

Most of the book was good. Our alien hero was a cinnamon roll (the sweet, over-thinking kind), our human heroine had a decent head on her shoulders, and we had some cute fated mates goodness.

But sometimes the way things were phrased was.. a choice, there was some repetitiveness, a few plot holes, and meh world building. I’m just going to chalk all that up to this being an independent debut author’s ARC and it won’t stop me from continuing on in this series.

In fact, I’d highly recommend this to someone going into it for the right reasons, aka bonkers peen.

OMG! OMG! Hot 🔥 🥵 make sure you have a cold drink with you because once you start you can't stop. I found this book marvelous, the story was exhilarating while the characters were sublime.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

My Alien Prince is my first alien smut and it did not disappoint. This was such a fun read. Still, the sex scenes could've been better. There were some descriptions that just didn't feel right that I sometimes found myself imagining Katy having sex with certain body parts that wasn't attached to a person. Lol.

I really enjoyed this book! I am a sucker for alien smut. A lot of alien smut books are barbarian. This one had a lot of cool technology in the world. I really enjoyed the concept of the women going into stasis and then learning they were kind of tricked by their government. The orkain are scary and I cannot wait to see how that plays out in the story line. I’m also a very big fan of fated mates. The only complaint I have is there were quite a few grammar mistakes or sentences that had words missing. So maybe another round of edits. Not a big deal. I will definitely be continuing the story!
*thank you to NetGalley for an arc.

The book starts off with our FMC, Katy, being left at the altar. Her impulsive sister decides to take part in a government sponsored cultural exchange trip to an alien planet and Katy tags along to get over being jilted and keep her sister out of too much trouble. The trip turns out to be less of a cultural exchange and more of a "our race has been decimated and we need to breed females to keep our race alive" trip. Conflict ensues.

Generally, I really enjoyed this book. The premise was interesting. The way characters interacted with each other was believable and with just enough conflict to make a good story. And it doesn't hurt that the sex scenes and alien anatomy were :fire:.

This book has so many tropes that I love: fated mates, forced proximity, not-quite-enemies-to-lovers. It also tackles some heavier topics around the purpose of government, how to trust when your trust has been broken before, the need for a purpose and something meaningful to do.

While all of that is great, this book would have benefitted from another round of editing. I'm not someone who generally notices the quality of writing but there were enough grammar and spelling mistakes and use of the absolutely wrong word that it took me out of the story a few times.

This won't be the most amazing book you've ever read but if you are in to alien fated mates, I would give this one a go as long as you can read past the grammar oddities.

This book had some really interesting ways of avoiding the pitfall of consent and colonialism issues that plague the alien romance genre. I will recommend this book to those that have struggled with that aspect of books. The characters were lovely and it’s a really sweet romance. The romance plot takes centre stage so the other interesting issues facing this planet and characters were dropped and left unresolved.

My Alien Prince is a tale of an alien world desperate for breeding females to prevent their society from going extinct. The Earth's government offers women in exchange for some special metals only the aliens can mine. While the story starts out strong, the behavior of the main female character makes her TSTL (too stupid to live). The spicy scenes were well written but every encounter was told first from the woman's view and then again from the man's. Overall I felt that this book adds nothing new or interesting to the Alien romance trope.

I recently read Ice Planet Barbarian and enjoyed it - this was similar! I didn’t know alien romance was a thing until recently!! I loved this and devoured it in one sitting. The setting was beautiful and the world-building was well-developed. The storyline was utterly captivating and the characters are fleshed out. I really enjoyed reading this and would recommend it to fans of Ice Planet Barbarian!

Thanks Netgalley!!

I LOVED this! I recently devoured the Ice Planet Barbarians books, my first ever alien smut.. and I needed more. This didn't disappoint at all, it was exactly what I wanted!

Fans of IPB will find similar things as far as women going to a new planet to mate and breed, fated couples, and another alien threat. Instead of an ice planet, this one is beautiful with flowers and jungles, also filled with technology and indoor plumbing!

My Alien Prince also has an overhanging sense of threat from foreign aliens trying to take their women. I really liked having these sense of danger hanging over everyone.

The sex scenes... Loved them. **Fans self**

I definitely suggest another edit through before publication date. As another reviewer pointed out, there was a chapter from Drex's POV talking to Drex when it should have been to Vance. A few other times there was a wrong word, duplicate word, etc. But those edits didn't distract me from the story.

I can tell this is going to be another obsession read.. and I already need MORE.

We love a good alien smut novel! I want to start out by saying I love reading smut, I even enjoy cringey smut. For My alien prince, the story was good, the slow burn was great, the sex scenes... were not my favorite. Some of the description words were so weird that it completely pulled me out of the moment and made me roll my eyes. "He explored and stroked my taste buds" like what?

Other than the jarring words in a few of the sex scenes, I really did like this book. I will likely continue and can't wait to see how the planet and government relations play out.

Thanks netgalley for the arc.

NeyGalley ARC Read
This Sci-Fi Romance read has a lot of tropes that are typical for this genre. Katy and a group of women were told by their government that they were looking for willing participants in a cultural/educational trip to an alien world. When she gets here she learns, that’s not the case. The men of this planet were told that the women sent there would be willing to help the men repopulate their world.

Almost as soon as they get there, they are attacked by the creature who has been eating all of the native peoples. Katie gets scooped up and taken to safety by their prince and is invited to live with him. Katie is adamant that she will be leaving as soon as the ship comes back for her. There is a lot of miscommunication between the two characters. Katie sister, who is the one who convinced her to come to this planet is shacking up with her alien host, and it becomes pretty clear that she doesn’t have a lot of intention of leaving.

There were a few times where the author use the wrong word. For example, in one of the chapters told by Drex he says that he’s talking to Drex, but he really means he was talking to Vance.

This book was so cute and it was written well I liked the beginning about her you know she was mad at the beginning about her getting married at the alter the guy not even showing up and then her friend had a good idea to go to this space world to see how hunky alien men, It reminded me alot of ice planet barbarians because im a big fan of those books and this book just had it all I loved the chemistry between the characters and there was funnyness to it.

This was a quick, fun read! I'm always down for an alien romance, and this certainly delivered! While there were some aspects that left something to be desired-- namely, the sex scenes could have been written better-- I had a fun time reading this!

Thank you BooksGoSocial and NetGalley for providing an arc for an honest review.

This is definitely a book for those who enjoyed IPB. Think IPB but with less snow and more consent and technology. The premise was cute and I really enjoyed reading about Drex and Katy and how their story progressed. Unfortunately there were a few things I couldn't get past, one being the lack of basic editing for the book. There were countless spelling and grammar issues throughout the book and it really got in the way of the flow of the story. The second was the language used during the spicy scenes. It wasn't overly crude, offensive or inappropriate just very cringy at times. I think this series has a lot of potential and I enjoyed the story but another round of edits may be in order.
