Save Me (The Donovans #3) was a great read by Samantha Chase. Ryleigh Donovan has been trying to dodge her mother's matchmaking attempts for too long. She find the one guy in her small town to shock everyone to be her fake boyfriend. She just wants to buy herself enough time to recover from her mother's last disaster of a fix-up.She never thought that she would actually get feelings for Ryker Masella. He's always wanted to be in a relationship with Ryleigh so he is on board for their fake relationship. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.

Love this series so much! The characters are amazing and the story is beautiful. It took me a bit to get to this one as I had to read the first two books, but I am so glad I did it!

A small town, fake dating, opposites attract standalone romance from NY Times Best Selling Author Samantha Chase

Ryleigh Donovan has been unsuccessfully dodging her mother’s matchmaking attempts for far too long. In an act of desperation, she finds the one guy in her small town who is guaranteed to shock everyone to be her fake boyfriend. It doesn’t need to be for long, she just needs to buy herself enough time to recover from her mother’s last disastrous fix-up. It’s really a fool-proof plan. But when a few staged kisses lead to some very real feelings, she realizes she might be in over her head.

Ryker Masella has been patiently waiting for the perfect opportunity to get Ryleigh to take him—and his numerous attempts at asking her out—seriously. When she grabs him and kisses him in front of her family to prove a point, he’s more than on board. But when she proposes a fake—and temporary—relationship, he’s 100% on board. After all, she might be all about pretending, but he sees it as a way for Ryleigh to truly see the real him.

Fake flirting and orchestrated dates quickly bring on real feelings. For Ryker, they’ve always been there and he’ll be as patient as he needs to be. She might have asked him to save her from her family, but what he wants is to save her from herself.

I loved this story, which is the third in the Donovan Brothers series. The story flowed easily and I loved all the characters.

Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Opposites attract? Fake dating? Bad boy? If you’re into any of these tropes you will love this book!
It is a quicker read but no less captivating! The jokes are as goofy and silly and the romance is swoony and steamy!

Thank you NetGalley for the chance to listen to this book in exchange for my honest feedback! Samantha Chase has yet to disappoint me with her writing. Also, the narrators do such a great job I felt like I was watching this entire story right in-front of my eyes. Fake couples soon become more attached and attracted than they thought was possible. She wanted to be saved from her family however, she didn’t realize that ultimately she needed to be saved from herself.

I enjoyed listening to this easy, lighthearted romance. I also really like the narrators. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

Save Me is another example of a book with the fake dating trope to get a meddling family of their back. It was a cute story with a MMC that has a tough exterior but is a secret cinnamon roll. While it was pretty cute, I was kind of annoyed with the FMC. She was a little to childish/selfish for my tastes, and it seemed to go from 0-100 real quick once they started dating.

Thank you so much for the opportunity. Samantha Chase is becoming one of my instant grab for a good time authors.

I adored this story! I have been waiting for these two, and I loved how it all came together. A good fake dating trope will always get me, and the hate to love on top of it... It was chef's kiss.

Ryleigh and Ryker's story was another great story in this series. Ryker has admired and wanted Ryleigh from afar, but she would never give him the time of day. Then one day, Ryker sees an opportunity to help her out and get to know her at the same time. This opposites attract story shows us that things aren't always as they seem and you need to follow your heart. I loved how Ryker never gives up on Ryleigh. These two were great together and I was so glad when Ryleigh finally figured that out!

The narrators did a great job telling the story. I can't wait for more Donovans!

I really enjoyed the journey of Ryleigh and Ryker through the book so much so that I will have to check out the other books in the series. I wish I would have paid more attention so that I could have started with the first book in the series so that I had more background on some of the other characters in the book. It definitely isn’t a necessity to do that but I think it would have made a gods book even better. Ryleigh starts off the book as very standoffish and holding herself back. Ryker is wide open and showing his true feelings. This book is an easy read and is very easy to get sucked into.

When I requested this book o did not realize it was the third book in the series. I was worried I would be confusing to listen to without having read the others. It wasn’t. I enjoyed the book and characters so much I quickly got my hands on the previous titles and read them as well. I love the tropes and felt like they were well done. I will read more by this author.

Save Me continues the love stories of the Donovan siblings. In this book, we get Ryleigh and Ryker's story. Ryleigh keeps getting set up on awful dates by her mom, Kate, who runs Donovan's Pub with Ryleigh's dad. Her brothers help out at the pub too and she sometimes helps with the menu as well. She runs her own online services company usually designing websites for businesses. Ryker has been a regular at the pub for a while and has been trying to get Ryleigh's attention. It never worked until Ryleigh hit her limit with the bad dates and proposed getting out of her dilemma by going on a date with Ryker. Because it would have been to get Ryker and her mother out of her hair, she changed her mind last minute but was then cornered into kissing Ryker and going along with the plan because she didn't want to back down on the argument she had with her mother. Eventually her mother understood she was being overbearing and going about the wrong way in showing her love to her and Ryker and Ryleigh were able to get a real relationship out of the situation. This series has been great and I can't wait for the next one since there are more single Donovans that Samantha Chase can still pair up.

Save Me
by Samantha Chase
Narrated by Carly Robins

Rating: 4.6/5.0 Stars

Save Me is the story of Ryleigh and Ryker. I didn't know that this was part of a series, but it doesn't surprise me at all, as I found myself multiple times while listening, thinking that the author set it up quite well for a series. Anyways, Ryleigh is sick of her mother throwing possible dates out to her and always being on her to go out and date. As a last-ditch effort to get her mom off of her back, she plants a kiss on Ryker's mouth and convinces him to be her fake boyfriend.

Guess what happens? They fall in love; there are a few arguments, but they patch things up and live happily ever after. That being said, it's a cute, quick listen, and I would thoroughly enjoy listening to the other book in the series. I found the Donovan clan mildly annoying, but I think that their individual stories will be fun and help the reader to understand their motivations better. Ryker just sounds hot. The temperature between the two, for reading or listening purposes, was decently hot. Sex scenes didn't go into major depth, which is fine by me. Ms. Robins did a great job narrating this story as well. She really brought each and every character to life, and I'd be more than happy to listen to more of her performances.

Thank you to #NetGalley, #DreamscapeMedia and the author for the chance to listen to and review this ARC!

I love the Donnovan family! This is the second book I read in this series and I honesty could not put it down. However this is my first audio in this series . Carly Robins is awesome , I have listened to her in other books and I just love how she narrates .

From Ryleigh being set up with the periodontist this book had me hooked. You can’t help but love Ryker, the tattooed bad boy with a heart of gold. Ryker just wants Ryleigh any way he can get her , even if it mean “fake “ dating so she really sees the real him. Ryleigh was dead set on not getting to know Ryker until she finally opened her eyes! When she did , the story was pure magic!

Thank you NetGalley and Samantha chase for this ARC

I luckily have read another book in this series and loved that so I was going into this one with high expectations. I was not disappointed as I was able to be seamlessly drawn into the world while listening to the audiobook. I this the fake dating trope is something we all love to see because we can see the characters falling for each other over time. Loved it and can't wait for more from this author.

It was a fun story, with fake dating starting from Ryleigh wanting to get her mother off her back about dating & setting her up with guys that were all wrong for her. She kisses Ryker, the tattooed “bad boy,” and begins a fake relationship with him. Though it was never fake on his side.

I found the story cute and enjoyed Ryker’s character. I can’t say the same about Ryleigh. Maybe it was the narration, but she kinda irritated me.

I listened to the audiobook version and parts were confusing. While he was dual POV (love!) it’s written in the 3rd person, and only has one (female) narrator - 2 would have been preferable.

3.5⭐️ rounded up

Read if you enjoy:
⭐️ Small town
⭐️ He falls first
⭐️ Fake relationship
⭐️ Dual POV
⭐️ Closed door

"Some day you're going to kiss me because you want to and not because your being rebellious towards your family"

Fake dating trope is my favorite and Save Me by renowned romance author Samantha Chase didn't disappoint me.

Ryleigh's had it with her Mom's meddling and thinking marriage is the answer for everyone. So when tattooed bad boy Ryker asks her out for the hundredth time not only does she say yes but kisses him when her Mom looks at them. She lets him know it's just to get back at her Mom but Ryker knows he just needs her to catch up to his feelings for her.

One of my favorite narrators, Carly Robins, not only gives us the hilarious antics of the Donovan clan (this is book 3 but definitely a standalone) but brings the steam with some very sexy spoken moments. Then there's the epilogue with the butterfly tattoos...save me from swooning now.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Dreamscape Media via #NetGalley

I enjoyed listening to Ryleigh Donovan's story and seeing how her relationship with Ryker blossomed. What started out as a fake boyfriend scenario to get her meddling mother off her back turned into a slow burn of something more, and it was an enjoyable journey getting there.

While the Donovan family can certainly be overwhelming, they provide a great splash of color to the story. Would I want to be part of a family like that? Probably not. It's sensory overload for me, as an introvert. But I can see the humor and appeal of writing about a tight-knit clan like that, that's equal parts over-the-top and ride-or-die.

My only complaint is that sometimes romance books get so caught up in the spice that they forget how many facets there are to love. In this case, there was a good balance, but still more spice than I care for in my leisure reading.

Thank you to Samantha Chase, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advance review copy.
