Although a bit wordy, this book had a great message of continuing to try to do things instead of giving up when they get tough. Great illustrations. I recommend this for preschool aged children.

This is a cute little book. That has a very clear lesson not to give up on something but keep trying until you get whatever you’re trying to achieve.my 5 yr old son loved it. He really liked the characters in the book and the flying and the jumping.

A sweet story of a young cow wanting to jump fences. After practicing and practicing not only is she able to jump the fence she learns to fly! Beautiful illustrations.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

This was super cute, well illustrated, and gave a great message! Until the end....which felt a little hokey. The whole story led up to this great lesson about trying again and just because something hasn't been done before doesn't mean it can't be done...and then it ends with "They don't do that, because they do this instead! That's it, for now!"

The ending just broke the spell for me and felt like it cheapened the lesson, but it was still a good little book for little ones - and I really did love the art!

Lauren the Cow is a very cute account of overcoming what seems impossible, and reaching for the stars...or the moon in this case. My children enjoyed the reading, as did I.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to review this advance copy.

Wordy. Cows fly? Couldn’t get behind it. The images are beautiful and the ranch setting is great for all her jumping practice but I couldn’t get behind it.

Have you ever wondered about the cow that jumped over the moon, or how it did it? This book is a cute “explanation”. The illustrations are very good. This is a good book to help introduce young children to persistence. Highly recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley, and the publisher for the eARC! A cute story about a cow wanting to become a jumping cow. (like the ones from the nursery rhyme jumping over the moon). This is a cute story on how to never give up on your dreams and to keep pushing yourself. A cute remake of The Little Engine That Could. The illustrations are cute and playful as well.

I absolutely loved the illustrations in this book. They’re so beautiful and sure to create lots of conversations during speech therapy! I also really liked the story and the message to keep trying when you don’t succeed at first. I do think some of that messaging was lost with the ending. I also thought some of the pages were a little text heavy and some of the language a little too advanced for the intended age group.

Books carry subtle clues and 'Lauren The Cow' has authenticated by telling us about an inspirational and determined cow. This fictional literary embraced everything for the voyage of young minds where encouragement and companionship are some of the factors in one’s life to achieve goals.

This book's illustrations are out of the blue full of embraces, push-buddy, and cheery companions even if it is, of different kinds firm and close companions can blossom your world through their atmosphere of affection towards their loved ones.

This book has taught me to 'Never Give Up', lessons are to be learned through steps which are like stepping stones to success cause it is a hard drive that only can come through either by smart or hard work. This book can teach you something in a way in a short period that not every other aspect of literary work ever can define.

This is such a cute children's book about the importance of not giving up and pursuing your dreams. I loved the easy to follow storyline, and how Lauren didn't have to go through her journey alone. Her fox friend, mother, and the other creatures were so sweet! Her perseverance to reach her goal and how she got back up and tried again after she fell is such a great lesson for children to learn. This is a great book!

My eight year old read this book out loud to her dad and I. He liked how she was trying to be a jumping cow but was actually a flying cow! The pictures were cool and he was like, “cows don’t fly!” He said he learned to never give up; the cow never gave up even though she was full of doubt. For the adult, I thought it was an ok story. Pictures were pretty.

Lauren is the sweetest little cow that set her mind to jumping over the moon and wouldn't quit until she made it! It reminds me of the little engine that could. Kudos to the illustrator because the images in this book may have been may favorite part!

The illustrations for Lauren The Cow are beautiful. Lauren is a sweet little cow with big dreams to be a jumping cow, but the story seemed to be lacking something. It did not hold my five year old’s attention. The book has a good message to keep trying in order to meet your goals but I felt like it was negated some with how the book ended.

Review of eBook

Lauren lives with her mother on a farm in the countryside. She decides she wants to be a jumping cow, but her mother tells her that cows don’t jump.

But Lauren is determined and she begins training. Tim the Fox offers to help her; together they work as Lauren jumps a blade of grass, an ant pile, and a stick. But . . . CRASH . . . the fence is just a bit more than Lauren can manage.

Determined to jump the fence, Lauren continues to try, even though it is hard. Tim suggests she should not look at the fence when she jumps; instead, she should look up. So Lauren looks up into the sky and sees the moon.

What will happen when Lauren tries to jump the fence?

This book started out very cute. The illustrations are adorable. I’m not sure about the name Lauren for the cow, but I went with it. The ending however was a bit strange and took away from the story. Not a book I’d want to read over and over with my son. This was a once and done.

Cute story about Lauren The Cow who wants to become a jumping cow. She works hard starting with leaping small things and persevering. Other animals encourage Lauren. Strangely I thought the ending takes away from the message or working and achieving a goal. The artwork is colorful and sweetly drawn. A pretty picture book for younger readers. (3.5 Stars)

This story is cute. I like that she had a goal, faced trials, and pushed on. The end was a little bit jarring and it almost took away from the whole "moral of the story" thing. She was clearly going to be able to do this all along - that's how it felt. But the illustrations are well done and it's enjoyable nonetheless.

This was a cute book about following your dreams and not giving up! I loved the encouragement from Lauren’s friends! The artwork is adorable. And in the end I loved the mom coming back into the store and how it tied to cows jumping over the moon!
