Sarah Robinson is a favorite author and this was a sweet loving book...small town, twins, past love and single parenthood.

Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Sarah Robinson

When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.

Rosie Dean is a single mother of twins. She runs a bookstore and lives in a charming small town. She has close family and friends.
Evan was her high school crush and he and his daughter come back to Heart Lake for the summer.

I really enjoyed all the kids in the book. I liked Rosie and Bean and it was funny how they started off on the wrong foot.
The story was quite enjoyable overall and I recommend it highly.

There was a short story also which was not related to the book and I liked it as well.

I loved this book. It was so sweet and heartwarming. Small town romance, childhood crush and bookstores? Nothing better!

This was an extremely cozy tale. The small town charm and sweet bookstore was fun. I enjoyed that while the characters had their “roles”, it stayed positive. There was a “bad guy” but they remained redeemable. Seems like a true talent to do that

Sarah Robinson is going to start becoming an auto read author for me. This book was just so adorable! This book is the second book in the Heart Lake series. This book has a little bit of it all. It has small town romance, single parents, childhood crushes and bookstores. What else could you want?! I loved the characters in this book and felt like they were well developed. Also, the kids in this book? They were the best!! If you’re looking for a quick but great read, I recommend checking this one out!

This is the second book I have read by Sarah Robinson and this one didn't disappoint. This is a cute heartwarming story about two single parents that get off on the wrong foot. The characters are well written and the kids are a joy! I would absolutely love to visit this place, and make friends with everyone in this town! This was a feel-good romance that left me with that warm and fuzzy feeling when it was all over. I can't wait to read more of Sarah Robinson books. I would highly recommend this book.

The continuation of this sweet, romantic series wouldn't have been anything other than fantastic from Robinson, who I'm coming to know as a strong-minded author with a beautiful brain. I fell in love with that bookstore!

This is a good book. The two main characters are Rosie and Evan. They have known each other for all their lives. Rosie is a single mother of twins and owns a bookstore. Evan’s is a widower and has a daughter and he is in his hometown visiting his parents. They meet again at the bookstore, there is an instant connection. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

Oh my goodness, I just finished reading The Little Bookstore on Heart Lake Lane, and I am SO in love with this book! It's the perfect small-town romance that has me wanting to pack my bags and head straight to Heart Lake for a visit. This book was a total delight - it was fun, heartwarming, and had the perfect amount of sass and sizzle. As a total sucker for single-parent romances with happily ever afters, this book hooked me from the get-go! The chemistry between Rosie (single mom) and Evan (widowed dad) was absolutely fantastic, and I found myself rooting for them from the very first page. I mean, who doesn't love it when an old friend comes back to town and completely shakes things up for the heroine? It was so much fun to see their relationship blossom and grow. And let me tell you, the love story in this book is perfection! The tension and heat between Rosie and Evan are palpable from the start. This heartwarming tale about juggling parenting, careers, and relationships was an absolute delight to read. I highly recommend this book to all my fellow romance lovers - you won't regret it!

Thank you, NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing), for the chance to read an eARC of this book.

Rosie is a single mom to a set of twins. She owns the local bookstore and secretly writes an advice column. Evan is a widower who is in town for the summer with his daughter while he checks on the health of his parents. Rosie and Evan knew each other in high school but a lot has changed since then. There's still an attraction but now there are so many other things to consider, namely the kids. But the kids get along great and are more than happy to spend time together. Can these two rekindle the sparks from years ago? I received an ARC from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Rosie is a single mother of twins and owns a cute book store in a small town. When widower Evan decides to spend the summer with his parents the last thing he expected was to fall in love again. Rosie and Evan knew each other a long time ago as classmates now they are getting to know each other in a different way and their children are getting closer…can they become a real family?!? This was an adorable quick paced read about second chances at love and being afraid to take that chance. The characters were adorable and definitely had some walls up that needed to be taken down. The children were fun and added an extra layer to the story. Between the small town feel, the challenges of parenting and falling in love again this book had a lot going on. I really enjoyed this read and I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Sweet small town romance…

Rosie and Evan’s romance was full of everyday, highly relatable, life struggles. Parenting was not easy and both wrestled with their own unique situations. While Evan was back home with his daughter on vacation, Rosie reconnected with her high school crush. Did they just enjoy what they had a temporary fling or was this a second chance where they could be the ‘one’ for them both? They had the summer to figure it out…

This is the second in the series – I didn’t read the first one – but totally works as standalone.

I enjoyed this story with its ups and downs, its sweet moments and the real issues the main characters struggled with. The characters felt genuine and earnest as they wanted to do what was right for their kids while knowing they needed to be happy as well. The telling was very low-key, perhaps a bit too much, as I found myself skipping ahead a few times. Unusual for me and this author as usually I am glued to the pages. I will go back and read the first in the series though as small town romance never gets old…

I really enjoyed this clean romance. It follows two single parents as they navigate through a small town summer but end up with their HEA in the end.

Oh this was a cute story! I have to admit that I'm a sucker for small town romances and stories about bookstores!!

Rosie and Evan used to know each other in high school but didn't run in the same circles. Years later, with so much history behind them, Evan comes home to visit his parents with his daughter.
He runs into the woman that runs the bookstore, who just so happens to be the girl he had a crush on.
His daughter becomes fast friends with Rosie's twins and that's the beginning of their story!
I loved their chemistry together and how they both supported each other, when they needed it the most.

Thank you to the publisher and to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book!

Stories that take place in small town are almost always heart warming.
Two old friends who haven't seen each other in a while and who are going through almost similar problems, at least in the area as a single parent.
Rosie raises her twins, runs her bookstore and even writes a column about how to be a single parent. She tries to live her life as best she can.

Evan is recently widowed and has a teenage daughter. Everything is new and it hurts a lot. So he decides to spend some time at Heart Lake to see if the pain subsides and if he can reconnect with his daughter.
The reunion with Rosie might be of help (and he doesn't know he was her crush).
A story that talks about friendships, grief, second chances.
The cover is so pretty!!
