The illustrations are bright and colorful yet not overwhelming. Would recommend for any young reader who loves dinosaurs!

A naughty author writes a naughty picture storybook for kids who do not want to be naughty and this is what happens. Read this book when it comes out to know what I mean.

A cute dinosaur book with some great colors. I felt like I wanted more at the end, but not really sure what "more" could have been provided.

While I enjoyed the bright colors and the amazing illustrations, the overall book just kinda fell flat for me.

I didn’t care too much for the potty or farting things, maybe because I have a daughter and not a son though.

And honestly, my daughter didn’t even really think it was that funny either.

She loves dinosaurs, so we just mainly focused on the different ones we saw and that she knew from memory in the book.

Bright and fun book about how dinosaurs would ruin a birthday party. I personally didn’t love the book leading off with farts, but after that I enjoyed the dinosaur birthday party activities. I just wish the book didn’t end with mentioning Christmas. It’s a great way to set up a sequel, but it’s not inclusive. I think “holiday cheer” would be best and leaves room for multiple sequels.

Thank you to Net Galley for this e-copy of A Very Dinosaur Birthday by Adam Wallace which I shared with my 6 year old grandson who loves dinosaurs.We loved the rhyming words and colorful illustrations. We laughed about this clever story about all the mishaps that happen when you invite a variety of dinosaurs to your birthday party..Loved the farting and bum references.Great for ages 4-7.

This was a fun romp through a child’s birthday party who invites dinosaurs. However, he doesn’t realize that with dinos not only brings big fun but also big messes, farts, and disasters. The antics in this book are so vividly portrayed through the art. Your little reader is sure to get a kick out of it!

This is a cute book all about having dinosaurs at your birthday party that starts out with all of the negatives of having them there like messes they will make and then gets into all of the awesome things that would happen if you had dinosaurs at your birthday party.

My son absolutely loved this book. He was engaged throughout the whole book. He was laughing and pointing at the pictures. Some of the text was a bit hard to read with the right flow, but still a fun book for both him and myself.

This book was so cute! I read it to my 5 year old daughter, and she laughed and laughed. The illustrations were very well done. My daughter kept asking to go back and look at the pages again. I also loved that it involved dinosaurs because it a great way for kids to learn the names of some of them.

Unfortunately the story is a miss for me. The illustrations are spot-on. I love the bright colors and the designs. I'm not a fan of fart books for young children. It's my experience the book can be fun when the adult decides. A child does not have the reasoning abilities and may inappropriately bring up the farting. This type of humor works with a mature caregiver/parent.

I would have liked the author to take the illustrations and birthday party theme in a different direction.

This picture book has bright, engaging illustrations that kids will love. I enjoyed how the dinosaurs were empathetic to the main character's feelings and really try to help him feel better. Kids will appreciate the potty humor way more than I did, I'm sure.

A Very Dinosaur Birthday was such a fun ride! I liked that the writing was a little crass (farting, bums, etc) and it was very brightly illustrated. I appreciated it the storyline of the ups and downs of having dinos at a birthday party! I don't think the Christmas reference was necessary.
