A absolute wonderful feel good romantic comedy that anyone who is a fan of the genre will fall in love with

Pleasantly surprised by this book. I thought it was headed in one direction but it shifted and added more to the mysteriousness of the storyline. Enjoyable read for anyone looking for a lighter story with a bit of mystery.

Remy lives an isolated life on an island off the coast of Maine until one day she sees a man bobbing in the ocean and rescues him. He has no recollection of how he got in the water and who he is. Remy nurses him back to health and eventually his memories come back. As Jeremiah fills in the missing pieces of his past he becomes more certain that he wants Remy in his future but she’s not sure she shares the same sentiment.

Thank you Victory Editing NetGalley for this ARC.

A cute opposites attract/ enemies-to-lovers romance.

Not my favorite read, as i couldn't really get into it but it was still an okay read. It should have been shorter..

I loved this by the author;

"We booklovers understand each other, don’t we? We’ve experienced the reckless thrill of staying up late reading. We know what it feels like when a romance captures our emotions, when a plot twist blindsides us, when our anxiety mounts because characters are in peril. We cry and laugh over books. We find rest in their pages. Reading is our luxury…”

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the Publisher for the wonderful opportunity to read and review this delightful book! I adored it and could not put it down. This is the fifth book I have read by Befcky Wade. I have enjoyed all her novels - she is a wonderful writer and the romance was lovely. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough and will read it again and again - that is how much I enjoyed it. I heartily recommend this wonderful book!

This is the second book I read from Becky Wade and I just want to read all her books! I had so much fun reading Memory Lane. This is the first book in her new series Sons of Scandal.

Remy's life is forever changed when she rescues a man from drowning in front of her cottage. Since she lives on a remote island far from any hospitals she lets him stay at her house while she helps him recover. I just loved the banter and relationship that developed between the two characters.

This book has it all, romance, mystery, suspense, humour, you name it.

I absolutely loved it and give it 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thank you to NetGallery the author and the publisher for giving me this advanced reader copy. This one was an interesting one. But I had a hard time getting into it. It was a fun read tho and I finished it in a day it felt like something was missing tho. But I would recommend it if you wanna read something light.

I really struggle with this book. I normally love Becky Wade's books but didn't enjoy this one as much.

I found it hard to relate to either character and couldn't "see" their relationship.

I still love Becky's books, this one just isn't for me.

Becky Wade manages to perfect wrap together a cozy Christian mystery romance book and leave me wanting more within the pages. Who says a Christian romance can’t be sexy and fun? Wade has the talent of wrapping together two imperfect and damaged people and showcasing their strengths through the lens of faith.

When Remy rescues a stranger off the coast of her island home, it disrupts the solitude she needs. He changes her life, but will it be in a good way? An interesting read as he discovers more about himself and his past.
Looking forward to more books from this author.

Becky Wade is an excellent author and I usually have her on my must-by list. Memory Lane features the hero, Jeremiah, who has amnesia, and Remy, the isolated heroine who rescues him and becomes his caretaker.

This was a hard read for me and I struggled to get into it and like the Remy. I didn't understand why someone so adverse to carrying for a stranger would do just that--and, truly, it was a stretch for me that a female would allow an unknown man to stay in her house with her. I struggled to read this one.

Well, good luck fitting this book into any genre but "awesome."

Becky Wade throws us right into an oceanfront cottage on a Maine island where our eccentric artist lives, while our amnesic friend appears to have literally been thrown into said ocean. Force those two to live in the same house for a week, and, well, the artist declares herself an amateur detective and the amnesiac proves to be a little bit of a rich brat (loveable rich brat, as the lobsterwoman neighbor would point out). But the story just keeps ramping up, and soon you may not know anything except that you seriously ship our leading couple.

First off, I LOVED the witty banter. It's a constant early on, and it still hangs around throughout the entire book. The plot was fun and kept me interested (even though I guessed a lot of it ahead of time). The characters were awesome (though I loved Amnesiac, Remy was soooooo real and well-developed that she's my fav). However, the best part of the whole story was how Becky Wade tackled the tough trauma in the past and handled it so stinkin' well. I don't see many Christian books willing to go that dark into trauma in order to show the healing.

What did I not like? Merely the fact that book two has not released yet.

Content (*please read this part and take it seriously if you have any triggers/content preferences - I'd rather spoil the book for you than risk you getting deep into it only to find you're not comfortable with it*): Moderate romance (kissing, touching, talking bluntly about other things a few times). Mild violence. Several mentions of past affairs. Mentions of a suicide/murder, not graphic. *SPOILERS* Moderately-detailed memories of a rape (one scene), rape mentioned many times after but never in detail. One scene with a non-graphic description of a murder and an affair caught on video. *END SPOILERS*

Thank you to NetGalley, Becky Wade, and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for providing me with an e-copy of this book. All opinions are my own, and a positive review was not required.

I’ve been a fan of Becky Wade ever since I read True to You, and Memory Lane was another reminder of why I love her writing. With solid characters you can’t help but root for, this novel packs in so much romance with a spiritual arc that reminds us of God’s healing power.

Remy and Jonah/Jeremiah, the man she saved from the water, have this hilarious banter that I fell in love with immediately. You could say this is almost an enemies-to-friends-to-more because their relationship evolves so much throughout the book. I loved seeing Remy discover the true man behind the snooty exterior she first sees. But I especially loved Jeremiah’s journey as he struggles with the amnesia that’s stolen his past from him.

As with most Becky Wade books, there’s an underlying mystery the characters work to solve. I hesitate to say what it is because I don’t want to have a spoiler in my review, but this mystery brought the biggest plot twist I hadn’t expected. It was fantastic!

In addition to the sweet romance between Remy and Jeremiah, there’s a beautiful spiritual thread, as well. Remy and Jeremiah discuss God and His role in their lives, leaving plenty for the reader to think about.

Overall, Memory Lane is a sweet romance with a hint of mystery that contemporary romance fans will adore.

Jeremiah and Remy are thrust together when she rescues him from the ocean. His injuries are so serious that she reluctantly becomes his caretaker.

There are many reasons Remy doesn't want to be with a man like Jeremiah, but over time, his character proves his worth to her.

Jeremiah's character was endearing. I loved the way he unabashedly accepted his memory loss and the fact that something about being around Remy soothes him. Centers him. I like how willing he was to go at her pace and the way he defended her presence in his life to those who thought she didn't belong.

It was interesting to see Remy's growth as she wrestled with the thought that maybe some things were worth fighting for, even if it came at a person cost.

Memory Lane will remind readers that though bad things may happen in our lives, God has not abandoned us.  He walks with us through them.

I received an advanced reader's copy from the publisher through NetGalley; a positive review was not required.

Memory Lane is a tightly woven mystery with threads I did not expect. Wade crafted two stellar Maine characters (see what I did there?) who bantered wonderfully. Writing good banter is hard to do, but this was cute and made me like the stuffy amnesiac.

I anticipated Remy’s backstory to wrench the heart, but I did not see Jeremiah’s backstory coming. I love that in a book. I read enough that surprises are hard to find.

I’ve never read this author before, but book two on this series is going on my must-read list. Five stars.

Memory Lane by Becky Wade

Storyline - 5 stars
Depth - 5 stars
Faith - 3 stars
Love Story - 4 stars
Overall - 4 stars

Memory Lane is the first book in the Sons of Scandal series. It started off with a bang and we were hooked! Becky did a phenomenal job writing about some sensitive subjects and while we sometimes got frustrated with certain behaviors, they made sense due to what the character had experienced. We fell in love with the characters and Jeremiah became one of our favorite heroes! However, we do wish there was more faith in this particular book. We are very eager to read the rest of the series and cannot wait to dig into Jude's story!

For a book that has no spice, it pleasantly surprised me how much I enjoyed it. I loved the banter between Remy and Jeremiah as well as the relationship between Remy and Wendell. I thought it was super interesting to have the sub-plot of the mystery of what happened to Jeremiah and how he wound up being rescued by Remy.

Thanks NetGalley for this one!

Ah. A romance with a dash of mystery, a pinch of murder and a sizeable helping of grumpy/sunshine? Yes please. An unoriginal premise (amnesia), yet such a crowd pleaser every time! The relationship is lovely, the side characters are well done, and the FMC is brilliant. Some trigger warnings…there is mention of sexual assault, suicide and infidelity. The faith based content is a good level.

I DNFed this book at 46%. I loved the cover and concept of this story. However, the pacing was a bit slow for my taste with the characters coming across as stiff. This book wasn’t my taste, but I know several people who loved it.

*I received an e-arc of this book. All opinions are my own.

More mystery than romance, this was the beginning of a family saga sure to please all romance and mystery lovers.

I am a big fan of Becky Wade's, and was really excited for this book.

I did enjoy a lot about it--the plot and Maine setting, in particular. But I also struggled with a lot--the hypnotherapy, use of alcohol as a coping mechanism, rando-POV interjections from non-MCs that added little to the plot, and edgy (even by her other books' standards)--not to mention lengthy--romantic descriptors. I had hoped for a more overt faith element, also similar to her other books, and I'll also admit a big element of the plot/character development focuses on assault and trauma.

Jude and Leigh absolutely stole the show for me, and I'll probably pick up the next book as it does focus on Jude.

I received an eARC of the book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
