Another great read from Pam Weaver. This one was set during the second World War in Worthing. A lovely and intriguing book which I enjoyed so much. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

WW2 Book Two the sequel to The runaway orphan, a very emotional read.

1941 Amelie a ward assistant and Mireille a WAAF both bridesmaids at Rene and Dan's wedding at St Matthews will they both get there in time. Sister Linnet is a big miss if only they knew where she was.
This book is full of secrets as we read and they unfold in the story to bring so much heartache along the way. So well planned out, a joy to read, I loved every bit till the end.

A captivating tale set in Sussex during WW2 following 2 girls evacuated there and their adopted extended family. At first I was floundering as there were so many names and subsequent relationships I got quite lost but as the story unfolds one can't help but be drawn in. Good depiction of characters with a healthy mix of people including a despicable rogue. A light quick read with heartwarming moments, a touch of humour and a dollop of treachery.

This is a follow on book from the Runaway Orphans and it was every bit as good. Reading about the characters that we read about in the first book was like catching up with old friends.

The story was bittersweet in places and emotional. I love the way Pam Weaver writes.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it most highly to others.

I would like to thank Harper Collins and NetGalley for my ARC for which I have given my unbiased review.

I’d been on tenter hooks for this book having read the first in the series. The sisters are feisty and love through some bleak and disturbing times. The story is well told, with the reality of war and the impact it has on the day to day lives of those it touches is made clear. The importance of living life fully and being out in the world with love is made clear and makes this an uplifting read.

This is second book in this series and just as good as the first, a very emotional read as we catch up with the three girls Amelie, Mireille and Linnet. Set during war time it shows the physical and emotional times they endured, I recommend keeping the tissues handy whilst reading this lovely war time saga.

A really interesting read. The story focuses on the lives of Mireille and Amelie who had lodged with Nora and Jim during the second world war ,their parents were dead and their younger sister was missing so they were more like family. There are many interesting threads to this story with tragedy, heartbreak and also healing as the girls both try to make good lives for themselves and also a wider range of characters that interact together to make you want to keep reading. Can the girls ever find the happiness they deserve and will they ever be reunited with their young sister ,I really enjoyed this story was well written and is highly recommended

An excellent conclusion to the story started in “Runaway Orphans”. It is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. The characters are so real and this reader felt as if I knew them and would have felt right at home stepping into Jim and Norah’s kitchen. Pam Weaver is a great storyteller.

‘The Lost orphan’ by Pam weaver is the sequel to ‘The Runaway Orphans’ and like its predecessor it does not disappoint.
We are back with the girls Amelie and Mireille. Linnet is still missing and with the help of friends the girls are trying to find her. Amelie is now training to be a nurse and has a boyfriend Bob who is porter in the hospital where she works. He has a posh accent, but he is keeping secrets and it is soon revealed. Mireille had an argument with foster parents Norah and Jim, so she decides to do her bit for the war and joins the Special forces which soon leads her to France.
This is another fabulous read from Pam Weaver showing not only the physical hardships during the war but also the emotional ones. This has issues of Abuse, controlling, but good times with family relationships and love. I couldn’t put this down and I can’t wait to read the continuation of this story. 5 stars from me.

Another good book by Pam Weaver. Three sisters, a war and how this affects their relationship is all encompassing. This is the second book of this series and as with the first book it is a great read and one that kept me interesting and enthralled.

WWII was obviously a terrible time and this is reflected in the story of the turmoil and heartbreak war brings to any family but in this book, most importantly to the three sisters, Mirelle, Amelie & Linnet.

I just couldn't put this one down and really enjoyed reading the continuation of the girls stories. It is heartbreaking and heartwarming, it is interesting and seems so real. These are characters that you can imagine going through these tough times and coming out the other side.

Loved it and look forward to seeing what comes next.

Thank you NetGalley and Avon Books UK for giving me the chance to read and review this book.

The second book in the series was just as engaging as the first - gentle reminders of the past history of the girls
Mirelle, Amelie & Linnet. Loved how the characters, their lives and families were all connected. This is another book full of emotion, hardship and love which was based around the war years.

Really enjoyed it and would highly recommend this book written by a very gifted and talented author who draws you into the story with ease.

Wow, what an emotional read.
You get more than you bargain on with this book. We follow the story of Mirelle, Amelie & Linnet.
Mirelle has a fall-out with Norah who’s her guardian, this leads to her going off to join the Special Forces where she is able to show her strength and determination. Amelie is training to be a nurse and is courting Bob who isn’t what he seems, this leads to danger for Amelie.
The sisters are trying to track down Linnet with the assistance of friends.
I especially loved reading Mirelle’s story, then cried reading Amelie’s.
Look forward to Pam’s next book.

An amazing and hard to put down conclusion to the Runaway Orphans! I hope Mireille finds her happiness, Amalie and Lennard have their happy ending, and Linnet finds a way to become a family with her sisters and reconcile the monster who abused her sisters with the stepfather she adored.
