Rachel Dove is at the top of her game with her emotional, uplifting and achingly romantic new novel, Ten Dates.

Callum Roberts and Alice McClaren have spent the past two years building a future together. Madly in love with one another, Callum and Alice are looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together and they have great plans for what’s to come – until a cruel twists of fate leaves Alice fighting for her life. A distraught Callum would do absolutely anything for the woman he loves to come back to him. Only, Callum never envisaged that when Alice opened her eyes and woke up, she would have no recollection of the life they had been building together for the past two years…

Alice has no memory of her relationship with Callum or of the life the two of them have been sharing together. In fact, all she remembers is how annoying she found Callum and how absolutely insufferable being in his company is. How could she possibly have built a life with him if she can barely stand the sight of him? And if they were so madly in love with one another, how could she possibly have forgotten everything that they’d shared together?

Callum is willing to do absolutely anything to bring Alice back to him, so he decides to strike a deal with her: he will show her how special their relationship is, by recreating their first ten dates and he will make her fall in love with him all over again. Will Callum manage to recreate the magic the two of the had shared? Is a second chance for the two of them possible? Or will their fairy tale romance lead to a heart-wrenching parting of the ways?

I will read absolutely anything with Rachel Dove’s name on the cover and with Ten Dates, this award-winning author has written an absolutely gorgeous tale that made me laugh out loud and had me shedding plenty of tears. A wonderfully told romantic tale about the lengths we go to for the people we love, the courage to fight for those we cherish and finding your soulmate, Rachel Dove’s Ten Dates is a book that once you start reading, you simply won’t be able to put down.

My Review: What a fabulously put together story, such a moment from the first few pages, where we meet Alice who is waking from her coma with no idea where she is and whats been happening around her. The story is told from Alice and Callum's perspectives. Alice can't remember that they have been in a loving relationship for two years. Callum is desperate for her to remember and so they go on 10 dates to see if there is a way back into their relationship for them. The impact of her memory loss, the laughs, sadness, hope and friendship are beautifully woven into the story. I definitely recommend this book, it's fresh and different, a definite page turner. Apologies for being so late to the tour.

I’m really torn with this book. It was well written and enjoyable - lovely characters and delicious moments. Unlike other readers I didn’t find it slow paced, either - I enjoyed the build up.

What I will say is that there is nothing particularly new here - all the story is very heavily signposted or slightly cliched. This in itself didn’t detract from the story for me, but I imagine it may some people. What did, however, spoil my enjoyment, was some of the over the top tweeness - the repeated pet name and over the top saccharine moments. Yep, I’m a cynic!

This book centers around Alice, who is just waking up from a coma after being in a car crash. However, upon waking she is confused why her brother's best friend, Callum is at her bedside until she learns that they have been together for the last two years. In order to win Alice back, Callum recreates their first ten dates.

While this is a sweet romcom, I found the overall pace of the book to be a bit slow.

This is a charming romance that I enjoyed. Alice McLaren lives with her boyfriend Callum in her house, which they’ve remodeled to be the showcase for her design business.
She’s involved in a car crash in the taxi and spends 3 months in a coma. When she awakens, Callum is by her side but Alice doesn’t know why, she remembers he was friends with her brother.
It turns out that Alice has lost the last 2 years of her memories. She doesn’t remember she’s in love with Callum and lives with him.
Before they got together, Callum and Alice made a bet to go on 10 dates. If she didn’t fall in love with him after the 10th date, she won.
Callum decides to recreate the dates to bring back Alice’s memory.
I loved Callum, he’s so in love with Alice. The dates were fun to read about, 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy wow of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

Ms Dove is a new-to-me author and I really liked her writing style. The story was heartwarming and captured my attention from the start and kept me interested till the end. Callum and Alice have been together for a while and have built a wonderful life together. But when Alice is in a car crash, she loses her memory and doesn't remember the beautiful life she had with Callum. So Callum makes a deal with her. He will recreate their first ten dates and make her fall in love with him all over again. Callum was such a swoon-worthy hero, he would do anything for Alice. He was so patient and understanding with her, I was rooting for them the whole time. A really sweet and adorable story, and I really enjoyed it.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Ten Dates by Rachel Dove was quite an enjoyable read. I haven’t read many amnesia romance books and I enjoyed the fact that Alice and Callum had a past that she could remember, just not their actual relationship!

The story begins with Alice regaining consciousness after a near fatal car crash that left her in a coma for nearly three months. By her side is Callum, her brothers best friend and the guy who as been a pain in her ass since childhood. She can’t understand why he’s the only one there, because she can’t remember the past two years of their life together.

Callum vows to help her remember everything she forgot, by recreating the ten dates it took for her to fall in love with him.

While I did like this book, it was a bit too slow paced for me. I kept waiting for the big moment that Alice remembered everything or for her to make the decision to be with Callum no matter what she remembered. The effort he put into making the dates as accurate as possible was really sweet, they seemed like a lot of fun. I was expecting a little bit more angst and tension but it was a super cute, slow burn, second chance romance.

I would love to have had an epilogue that flashed forward to see where they were at in a year or two as it ended quite suddenly.

Overall I would recommend this to someone looking for a sweet romcom and I would read more of Rachel Dove’s work.

A feel good romance, I loved the persistance and support that is evident in long term relationships. No games, straightforward adults who are working through a challenge to their (strong) connection. While reading, I often reflected on how the same occurance would impact me.

this book was so wholesome and I was instantly invested in Callum and Alice's story. it was so sweet and reminded me of 'The Notebook', '50 first dates' and 'The Vow'. I was rooting for them all the way and the ending was wonderfully written. I can only recommend to anyone and everyone!! I can't wait to read more fabulous books from Rachel Dove! Thank you netgalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

When Alice wakes up from a coma, she has no memory of her life from the last two years. This includes her relationship with Callum. All Alice remembers is how much they annoyed each other, so she can't possibly figure out how they ended up together. Callum convinces her to agree to ten dates to remember their relationship and/or fall in love with him.

I LOVED this book! Reading it was like watching the perfect romance unfold in front of your eyes. It was so obvious how much Callum loved Alice. From the time he spent by her side at the hospital to the amount of effort he spent on those dates. He never gave up on her (swoon). Alice's character was written so realistically for how you would expect a person to be in this situation. The dual point of view was a great choice for this book and I'm glad that we were able to see inside Callum's head as well as Alice's for this story.

Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was so fun! This was the first book I've read from this author and I really enjoyed it. The story was different from anything I've read recently and really captured my attention. It was so well written and the characters were fantastic.

The story of Callum and Alice. She has just woken up from a coma and can't remember any of their relationship - can he convince her to give him ten dates to fall back in love with him?
Loved both characters and you really want everything to work out for them.

This book was so sweet and cute, Callum was everything! I do wish the book had given me more sweet domestic scenes with both Callum and Alice, just seeing them bond without the dates hanging over them. Also the ending felt a bit abrupt, could’ve been fleshed out bit more. But overall it was still such a heartwarming book. I may have giggled and shed a tear or two.

This book has one of my favourite romance tropes with the second chance romance. When Alice wakes up from a coma she can’t remember the last two years. Her nemesis Callum tells her they are in love and have a life together but she finds that unlikely. Callum decides they will reenact their first 10 dates to see if that will bring back her memories of him. The dates are fun and we get a better appreciation about what an exceptional person Callum is. I was bothered about the portrayal of Alice’s parents with the stereotypical overbearing but well meaning mother and the henpecked father. Usually I don’t mind these types of characters but in this situation I would have liked to have seen more well rounded non stereotyped parents. The pacing of the book was good and the two main characters were likeable. Overall the ending was good but a bit rushed.

Thank you to Negalley and Boldwood Books for the E-ARC. The following is my opinion based on my thoughts and feelings throught the whole book. I will start off by saying that this was a easy read the book flowed I loved the idea of the book. With all that being said I could not get into the MFC Alice and was not able to get into her I screamed at her to get it together thru the whole book. Dont get me wrong I get the whole independent sarcastic vibe but I wasnt feeling it, I felt bad for the MMC and wanted to whisk him away.

What can you do when the love of your life forgot ever being in love with you? How can you fill the years and recreate the experience of the first dates, not only for rekindling the flame, but for getting your past and ultimately, your love, back?

Ten Dates by Rachel Dove is a sweet romantic novel, about a couple - Alice and Callum - in love. But their love story was cut short after Alice was the victim of a car accident. In coma for a couple of months, as she woke up, she could not remember the last two years of their common life. Callum will try, in just ten dates, to convince her to fall in love with him again.

I loved how slowly we are introduced into the story and the beginning convinced me to keep and keep reading. For me, it was an easy, weekend read, but very emotional, as it deals with the processes taking place into our brains while highlighting the fragility of life and love.

I also loved the idea of doing all possible to get the loved one back, to fight against oblivion against all odds. Callum´s fight to get his Alice back is very romantic and heroic, a reminder that love still has a price worth paying for.

Ten Dates is a perfect read for hopeful romantics and anyone interested in a different take on falling in love and fighting for love in a completely unexpected situation.

Man and woman fall in love; the woman meets with an accident, loses her memory, and loses her memory of the time the man and she spent together; the man convinces the woman of their love; the man and woman live happily ever after.

The book reminded me of the movie - The Vow. The story is predictable; we all know it is a rom-com that will end with the characters together. In books like these, it is not about the ending but about the middle. Rachel has done a fabulous job of tugging at our heartstrings. We can feel Alice's frustration and Callum's helplessness.

I recently got married to the love of my life, and I can't even imagine what Callum must have been going through. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. The pain is raw and tangible, and there were paragraphs where I shed a tear.

The writing is powerful, and I loved the concept of Callum using ten dates to remind Alice of their love story. Heart-touching, beautifully written, and for everyone who believes in love!!
