This is a cute book. It shows how to draw with great detail some of the Disney characters. I would have liked to see a few more Disney characters in this book, but all in all it's a great book.

My Thoughts:
This is a fun and great book to spend time with your children and learn how to draw Disney characters. Me and my daughter sat and followed the step by step directions and although my drawing didn’t turn out that great hers did. And she was so proud of herself I however need to practice the steps a little more but I am getting better and better. Thank you netgalley for letting me read this

What a little gem of a book! This shows you step by step instructions, that are easy to follow, for some of the most famous Disney characters. This is one that I would happily share with both my own children and the children in my class. I think that adults would also enjoy trying out some of these activities as well.

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read and review.

Excellent for all Disney lovers both young and old. However I do feel that this book is aimed toward younger children, but they would definitely spend many an hour doodling

What a fun book for aspiring artists and Disney fans alike! Kids and adults of all ages should enjoy this one. While I often find problems with kids books on my phone, this one was well formatted and enjoyable. Gonna have a blast drawing these characters on my iPad. ❣️❣️❣️

This was a fun book for people who have some experience drawing. It has lots of fun characters to choose from. This would be perfect for before/after a disney trip too :)

This was a really fun book with a variety of characters to draw for an intermediate artist. This would be really fun to do after visiting Disneyland and attending one of the animated classes since the style is how Disney artists draw!

Lovely well presented book ideal and recommended to budding artists and Disney fans alike.

Simple easy to follow instructions

3.5 Stars
A good choice for newer art students who either have some natural ability or have taken a class or two. A few more pages/subjects would bump it up to a 4 Star book. I have little to no drawing skills and I managed better than I thought, although a few more textual instructions may have helped.

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Walter Foster, Walter Foster Jr for accepting my request to read and review I Can Draw: Magical Characters: Draw Mushu, Tinker Bell, Chip, and other cute Disney characters!

Sadly, this is a miss. I was so excited when I first saw the book and synopsis. I have zero drawing skills. However, I am quite crafty. I have read and deciphered a lot of directions. After opening this E-book, I was confused. The more I tried to see, the more confused I got. The lines meant to guide are too advanced and not defined enough for me.

The colors are spot on for the characters. It is a nice thought.

I Can Draw Disney: Magical Characters is certainly not a book for beginners but the drawings are broken down into simple enough steps that one could replicate with a little bit of practice. If you are a die hard Disney fan, then this is a really neat book illustrating how to draw Disney characters simply. Thank you Quarto Publishing Group – Walter Foster for the free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Cute, short book with about 9 characters to draw. I found the steps to be pretty basic, art wise, with circles and structure building. I’m not an artist so I gave each one a shot. Doing so I found that, while I won’t be hired at Disney anytime soon lol, the characters certainly resembled what I was going for, which was cool to see. I definitely enjoyed it.

I loved these books as a kid and I am so happy they are continuing to doing them. It is so fun to see the steps to achieve or at least try to achieve drawing your favorite Disney characters

My daughter and I were very excited to try out this book and attempt to draw Disney characters but unfortunately the steps weren’t simplified enough. We feel that each character should be broken down into at least 7-9 steps as with most How to Draw books. However most characters were only broken down into 3-5 steps which just isn’t enough to successfully copy such detailed characters.

These drawings were much harder than I anticipated, but a fun way to practice. They have lots of great characters to choose from and step by step directions for each character.

I Can Draw Disney is a general step-by-step guide with tutorials for drawing Disney characters. Released 16th Nov 2021 by Quarto on their Walter Foster Jr. imprint, it's 32 pages and is available in paperback format.

This booklet is full of instantly recognizable Disney animated stars including Tinker Bell, Mushu, Sorcerer's Apprentice Micky Mouse, and 6 more. The very short introduction covers basic selection of tools and supplies and how the tutorials are presented in step-by-step progressive format.

Each of the tutorials contain step by step line drawings with tips and tricks for rendering the subjects. The tutorials are -very- abbreviated with only the briefest intermediate steps illustrated. Most readers will either need to have a great deal of previous experience or bring prodigious amounts of patience and persistence to see good results.

It's colorful and appealing and the subjects are clearly perennial favorites, but it's quite curious that this guide is bundled and marketed to 6-8 year olds (Lexile 1230L). It will provide inspiration for drawing practice but not as a standalone resource. For adults who work with youngsters in classroom or group settings, it could be a nice art-room or group library acquisition. Also with adult help (or for primary use by more experienced artists) it could be a good choice for the home library or studio as a reference.

Four stars, with the codicil that younger kids will likely find it frustrating as a standalone tutorial guide.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

I'm not the most artistic person but I am trying to improve my drawing skills so I thought this would be perfect as I love Disney. In terms of content, unfortunately I find the steps were simple and easy to follow for the first couple and then they got to complicated as each step went on. Maybe they needed to break it down even further. I found this the case for most of them and I think a child/teen/adult would get lost pretty quickly. The book itself looks clean and colourful and draws you in. I just feel like the content isnt the best.

Definitely meant for practiced drawers of various ages, not for beginners. The step by steps are not broken down in the simplest possible manner.

Too complicated and difficult to follow. I think there are fairly advanced artists who would need this breaking down more.

really disappointed and was frustrated at not being able to achieve the drawings even with help

This book would be good for older kids or kids with prior drawing experience. Younger kids would need the drawings to be broken down into smaller, more detailed steps.
