This piece takes readers on a mesmerizing journey through nature's wonders. The book delves into the enchanting world of trees, exploring their profound significance and the intricate connections they foster with the environment and humanity. The author's evocative prose paints vivid images of sprawling forests, whispering leaves, and the awe-inspiring majesty of ancient trees. Arborama not only celebrates the beauty and resilience of these botanical giants but also sheds light on their ecological importance in sustaining life on our planet.

This is essentially a tree identification book for older children. While the text is attractively laid out and designed, I believe clear sharp photographs, not drawings, would have been far more useful for kids interested in actually observing and naming the trees around them. I also felt that the identification section ought to have come last in the book—that is, AFTER background information on general tree biology had been presented. It’s an appealing enough book to glance through, but I don’t think it quite achieves its intended purpose. I don’t see this as an essential purchase for a school or public library.

Thanks to Netgalley and Helvetiq for the ARC of this!

A nice introduction to trees with cool illustrations, I read this with my 6 year old looking over my shoulder at the images. It felt accessible for most ages to get something out of it. I really enjoyed the illustration style and think it would be a helpful one to keep around for reference.

I requested to read this novel solely because my husband is an arborist; I did a random page fact check with him and it was all true! I really loved how this was laid out and illustrated. I learned so much about trees and their lifecycles/spans. I also learned about leaves and seeds and fruit. The colors are vibrant and the facts are concise. Highly recommend this one for any nature lovers/hikers/tree huggers.

This is a great resource for those wanting to learn more about trees. The images are detailed and so is the information given. I also liked how the author added blurbs about the history or usage of some tree species, such as how to extract syrup from the sugar maple.

This book contains everything about trees one would want to know, all in a colorful, easy to browse format. The reading level is perfect for middle school and there’s a perfect balance of text and images.

Amazing! Arbororific!

I learned so much about trees and tree ID.

Highly recommend for a late elementary or middle grade reference/nonfiction read. I ate this up as an adult, but I also would have love it in middle school. The illustrations are simple but detailed and so full of life.
