A thoroughly entertaining and humorous read. Finn Murphy seems like a gut who has a great story for every occasion. This book is even better than The Long Haul. He does a better job of balancing information with anecdote in this one to make sure that it holds this readers interest..

As someone with family in Colorado, I was beyond excited about this subject matter when it got the green light. But what really did legalization mean? Not much as known at first and the fact that it was centered in one state out of 50 was confusing enough.
To people like Mr. Murphy it was a new chance to make a living, a profit, all off of a little plant. Seems simple enough.
We may not have pioneers in the crossing the country type we think of but there are still plenty of pioneers, inventors, gutsy people who will try anything new in hopes to be the next big thing. In Rocky Mountain High we learn that nothing is free and if it's new and exciting to you??? Thousands of others will feel the same. and not everyone is a winner.
Told with wit, optimism, and sarcasm, this book is fantastic for all MaryJane fans AND for anyone hoping to make a quick buck in new--and legal--business.

A fun and interesting read about hemp! I normally don’t fly through memoirs the way that I did with this one, but it really felt like a story. The authors humor really carried through the pages.

Finn Murphy weaves incredible true tales. I have enjoyed his work and Rocky Mountain High is an important story about following the American Dream. Hemp farming is a timely subject and add that to all the trials of farming, weather, work, equipment, you name it could have made this book depressing. But he always infuses hope and resilience in all of his books. Looking forward to recommending this to reading groups.
