This was a quick and easy read and I loved the chemistry between the leads, mixed with the body positivity all books should have. This gave me Jasmine Guillory vibes and I will definitely be reading more from Jackson in the future.

Just thinking about this story puts a gushy smile on my face. The body positive romance like no other I’ve ever read before. This was so utterly unique and enchanting, and paced in Jackson’s signature slow burning style. This book took my breath away.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

I really wanted to love this book, but I honestly could never quite vibe with it. It was a fun easy read, but not my favourite, and at times it felt like the chemistry was off. fun generally easy read, but not my favourite.

What a cute story, that was both funny and sweet, with plenty of spice! I’m on a roll with the cute romance, and knew that Danielle Jackson would bring a great story with lovable characters that I’ve come to expect from her previous books. They were such well rounded characters that came across so vividly, and I really enjoyed their character development take shape.

*many thanks to Berkley and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

I enjoyed this book! I felt like the characters were engaging and diverse and genuinly fun. I do feel like the pacing in the beginning was a little slow but I did get into it after that.

This is an amazing, funny, beautifully written, and spicy series!! I love her writing and the way this series is developing. In fact, i think I liked this one even more than the first.

This book never quite clicked for me. In the first few chapters, some of the backstory of each character got bogged down and felt rather repetitive. Sam’s health struggles and stress were reiterated multiple times, Russ’s family history/trauma deeply delved into, but it didn’t always work to progress the story. I wanted there to be more movement towards them getting together, and instead the characters spent too much time apart.
The author does a great job of writing female friendship, and I found myself more interested in scenes with the friends/side characters. Unfortunately, in a romance novel that’s not exactly what I’m looking for.

Samantha Sawyer is the office manager for a luxury boudoir photography studio with a busy summer ahead running the company’s mobile photo booth at Chicago’s summer festivals. She doesn’t have time for love, but maybe something more low-key would be fun…

Russell Montgomery works at a local restaurant, and coincidentally, is running the restaurant’s food truck at the same summer festivals Sam is. Russell has had a thing for Sam since they first met through their mutual friends over a year ago and is looking forward to working alongside her. He doesn’t want anything casual, but if that’s all Sam is offering, he’d be a fool to pass it up.

While I liked the banter between Sam and Russell, I thought there were a few too many things going on in this book. Sam is struggling with work-life balance, body positivity issues after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, and intimacy issues stemming from her parents’ relationship. Russell is trying to reunite with his brother as he plans for culinary school, and is working through his own intimacy issues as well.

Well-rounded characters are great. We want to see characters who have more going on in their lives than just a romance, but it felt like these characters had a few too many things to work through to be wrapped up so neatly by the end of the book. I would’ve liked to see maybe one or two of these issues addressed and worked through, as opposed to lightly touching on all six of the issues these characters faced. I also wanted the side characters to be pared down and developed a bit more.

Overall, I liked reading about less conventional characters who felt more like real people. Maybe that’s why I wanted a little more for them. Accidentally in Love is still a light, fun novel about two people coming together despite life’s obstacles and going after the things you want.

Following the group of friends introduced in The Accidental Pinup, this enemies to lovers story focuses on Sam and Russell as they run into each other at summer festivals throughout Chicago. Readers who enjoyed The Accidental Pinup will love seeing the hero and heroine pop in to the story, as well as enjoy the new relationship featured here.

Every character the author, Danielle Jackson writes is vivid and beautiful, but she has truly gone above and beyond with these two leads in this intimately written wonder of a novel. I endlessly enjoyed reading it.

Accidentally in Love was the perfect love letter to summer in Chicago! Sam and Russ had a great slow burn, will they or won’t they situation going on. Their friend and family group is top tier (and hanging out with them would be a fun time!) Danielle Jackson did a phenomenal job with their character development and describing everything in just the perfect way to make you feel like you were right there in the book, from the clothing and food descriptions to the fun nights out. I recommend this one to folks who love a romance where love takes the couple by surprise while they are trying to figure life out. I Received an advanced reading copy, receipt of which did not impact my review.

This book is out in the world today! Samantha has a busy summer taking the renovated Buxom Boudoir photobus to street festivals in Chicago. The worst part is spending time with Russ who’s in charge of the food trucks…or is it really the best part?!
.
I enjoyed their group of friends and it’s always fun reading a book set in Chicago during the summertime.

I don’t think I’ll be giving this author another chance after disliking her first novel and not liking this one unfortunately. Nothing happened and it was very surface level, which is sometimes okay but I was looking forward to more with this author and the representation

I enjoyed this one more than the first one in the series. The chemistry between Russ and Sam was hot and steamy! There were times when the same background information about the characters kept repeating which didn't need to be.

I hate to say this, but I think Danielle Jackson's books aren’t for me. I always love reading romance books, especially from diverse authors. But I just didn’t enjoy reading Danielle Jackson's previous book, and I kind of felt like meh with her recent book, Accidentally In Love.

I am not saying that you shouldn’t check out her books because they may be for you. Personally, I just didn’t love it as much as I should have. Why? It’s the characters chemistry that just wasn’t there in her previous book and in this book as well. I wasn’t vibrating like I was supposed to. I truly think that Sam could have been with someone else. I just didn’t feel how Sam and Russ connected as a couple. The chemistry and spark wasn’t there in my opinion.

However, if you enjoy reading about plus-sized representation in a diverse romance book, then give Accidentally In Love a try. It might be for you.

Thank you so much to Berkley Romance and Netgalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review!

When I first saw the announcement for the first book in this series, I was SO EXCITED! I am always searching for all the plus sized romances I can find, and when I saw one about a fat boudoir photographer I was even more excited! That first book did not disappoint. And seeing that Sam was getting her own story got so even more excited!

Sam is SUCH a fun character! I am so here for every "ice queen" FMC, and I loved watching her slowly melt for Russel. Their chemistry sizzled off the page, and kept me hooked from the start.

I hope we get to see more from this wonderful found family, because I want to read everything Jackson writes!

ACCIDENTALLY IN LOVE is a sizzling romance in the city. The stars, Samantha Sawyer, a pretty, curvy lady with sass, bumps into annoying, Russell Montgomery, since they share the same set of friends. They are both career-driven and rub each other the wrong way. Sam is battling a disease and self-conscious about her body after putting on weight. She works at Buxom Boudoir as an office manager/photographer. She used to be a burlesque dancer, so her confidence in her appearance has taken a nose dive. She's looking for fun to recharge her batteries since she works long hours. She keeps running into Russ on the street fair circuit where her mobile photo booth is located. Will they connect?

Russ, a handsome guy who is tired of moving from place to place, is looking to put down roots. He's reconnected with his brother, Reid, and now works at a popular new restaurant. Reid's circle of friends accept him, all except stand-offish Sam. He tries to talk to her, but Sam is hesitant, making herself scarce. When Russ works a food truck at the fair circuit, he makes contact with Sam. Can he melt her icy exterior?

ACCIDENTALLY IN LOVE is a fiery, fun, no-strings attached, romance between two highly strung, workaholics who discover that there is an attraction between them. Ms. Jackson delivers an enjoyable novel set in the windy city of Chicago. I really enjoyed getting to know the stars, Sam and Russ, and the many hurdles they had to overcome. They have a fantastic support group of friends that help them along the way. Sam is a brave, strong girl who battles a disease, while adjusting to her new life and looks. The romance is hard won as Sam and Russ each find their footing in their relationship. Do they dare go out on a date? Buy this book and settle in for a quirky and sexy story!

This was a really nice read. I enjoyed the romance story and the path to HEA. What I enjoyed most was the journey of both Russ and Samantha of finding their place in the world, in their families both biological and found family. Finding happiness is not singular path, but finding and thriving with your personal and professional paths brings ultimate happiness. This was fun to read and follow their journeys.
