I love Foster's writing, her books keep me captivated all the time. The Little Flower Shop is no exception. Wonderful storyline. Big plus, is that the heroine is in her 40ish.
Enjoyed this story a lot. A must read.

Received an ARC courtesy of the publisher via NetGalley. This was such a cute enjoyable story. Emily is the owner of a flower shop in Cemetery, Indiana and is known as the flower lady. Emily had been divorced for many years and busy with her flower shop so she had no time for dating. Emily also takes care of her elderly Aunt and Uncle. Saul owns the Barbeque Pit and is the Hottest bachelor in town. Saul has had a crush on Emily but she isn't use to flirting so she sometimes doesn't really know he is flirting with her. Saul ups his game and Emily is slowly catching on. There is also a mannequin that keeps showing up in town with different signs. Sounds like a very fun town. You wont' want to put it down. Very enjoyable.

Sweet, sappy and totally predictable. Just a few plot twists to be found, which was the only thing to keep me from going into a coma while reading this book. Even the supporting characters were boring. I swear this small town was like something out an idealized 1950's. Everyone is in everyone's business, but in a kind, loving, non-judgmental way. The heroine, Emily Lucretia, is thought of as just "perfect". She is kind, caring and loving to everyone and doesn't even realize it when the town hunk, Saul Culver, who is also kind, caring and loving, sets his sights on her. Not much fun, plot wise, with all this kind, caring and loving going on. Just plain boring.

My thanks the Publisher and the Author for providing a complimentary digital Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this novel via NetGalley. This is my fair, honest and personal review. All opinions are mine alone and were not biased in any way.

We have gone back to the small town of Cemetery and this time we are dropping in on Emily, The Flower Lady, and Saul, the owner of the Diner. Emily went through a devastating divorce and since has devoted her time to her business and taking care of her elderly aunt and uncle. Saul has been trying to catch her attention and when he first plants Kathleen outside her flower shop, after she left her at his diner, this starts the #flowerlady and all bets are off. These two are so special. The chemistry together is off the charts and cannot be denied, even when Emily tries to. I love this small town and cannot wait to go back.

I rated The Little Flower Shop by Lori Foster with 4⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Perfect location for this novel. Cemetery, Indiana. Most cemeteries are displayed with a beautiful array of colored flowers, so its perfect for a book about a flower shop.
Emily (The flower lady) owns Cemetery Florals, where she makes flower arrangements for all occasions. She was just cleaning up the beach after a wedding. Giving the remaining flowers to guests that wanted them. She noticed bare feet in the sand as well as empty refreshment bottles surrounding her. It was Kathleen.
The next morning Kathleen was in front of Saul's restaurant, her hair a mess and holding a wine cooler. She is known around town and you never know where she will be next.
I guess you will have to read the book to find Kathleen's next appearance.

Pre-order your copy today for launch day on May 9th. You will laugh out loud as you read this novel, just as I have.

I received an advanced copy of The Little Flower Shop for my honesty review.

After he divorce, Emily is focused on her flower shop and making it a success. She also cares for her aunt and uncle, while trying to stay invisible, but doesn't realize how wonderful she is not only to the town but to Saul as well. She doesn't like when people tell her she is perfect, she feels far from perfect she just does her best. (Like all of us).

Saul is the most eligible bachelor in Cemetery. He has been interested in Emily for awhile, has been flirting, but hasn't had any success. He aims to up his game to make sure she finally notices, and even the town intervenes. It seems the entire town of Cemetery is working together to cement their relationship.

Saul and Emily are captivating characters. I don't know how Lori Foster does it but she manages to write the most heartwarming, delightful, addicting, relatable, and enthralling stories time and time again. The Little Flower Shop is not any different. I mean who can not love a mannequin, Kathleen, that is passed around town and dressed up and posed differently by its citizens? I thought that The Honeymoon Cottage was my favorite book by Lori Foster, I was wrong. This one takes the top spot. I recommend this book and series. I cannot wait to see what happens next in Cemetery, Indiana. And isn't the cover absolutely beautiful?

Contemporary Romance

Cemetery, Indiana – Present Day

After a painful divorce, Emily Lucretia has sworn off men as she concentrates on running her flower shop. While attending (and providing flowers for) the wedding of friends, local restaurant owner Saul Culver starts talking to her. He is pleasant and appears interested in her. Emily enjoys talking to him, but at this point, she wants to keep their relationship strictly being friends. Deep down, though, she finds him attractive too. While Emily struggles with the idea of dating Saul, a covert campaign has started on the town’s social media pages. Emily is being labeled the #TheFlowerLady and someone is not only reporting on her interactions with Saul but taking—and posting—pictures of them together. Will it bring them together?

Saul feels like he is the luckiest man alive in getting a chance to be with Emily. She has been shy all the time she has been in Cemetery and now he’s helping her out after her beloved uncle ends up in the hospital and she rushes to her aunt and uncle’s side. Saul and Emily’s relationship develops slowly, but by the end of THE LITTLE FLOWER SHOP, he will hopefully have more than just friendship with her. Saul is good to Emily, which is something she needs after being mistreated by her ex. Soon, Saul has the entire town rallying behind him to be Emily’s Mr. Right.

Also in THE LITTLE FLOWER SHOP is the secondary plot of the romance between Saul’s newly hired manager, Mila, and Emily’s trusted employee (and friend), Gentry. Love runs amok in Cemetery, a town with such a ghastly name but one filled with people who care and help each other.

THE LITTLE FLOWER SHOP is a heartwarming tale that hits all the right notes. There are likable characters with issues from their past that have shaped their present. For Emily, her aunt and uncle helped her after she lost her parents, so she will do anything for them. Even dropped everything to be at their side in their time of need. Saul inherited the restaurant, a BBQ joint, and has continued to build its reputation and customer base. While he is busy, he still finds time for Emily. Mila is a new but valued employee who isn’t afraid to work. Gentry came from a rough childhood. He and Emily have built a trust that goes beyond that of employer/employee.

THE LITTLE FLOWER SHOP is related to THE HONEYMOON COTTAGE and anyone who has read that tale will recognize a few characters from that book, namely Betty Cemetery. Betty is part of the town’s founding family and a bit of a busybody, though people mostly think she’s a pain in the rear. But in this tale, Betty has taken a liking to Emily and helps push the romance with Saul. She provides several chuckle-worthy scenes for readers.

By the end of THE LITTLE FLOWER SHOP, readers will be smiling and enjoying the coupling of Emily and Saul, plus Gentry and Mila. Add in a couple of pets, and we’re set for some fun and entertaining reading.

DNF @15%. I believe I must have requested this book before the cover was posted, otherwise I would have known this book is not for me. It was the second in a series (which was not mentioned anywhere), but that doesn’t seem to matter. Mostly, I found the tone of this book so boring. I’m sure this will be up others’ allies, but I couldn’t imagine myself spending another few hours finishing the book.

The Little Flower Shop is such a heartwarming book. You would think that a town with the name Cemetery would be a boring place to live, but the opposite is true. The people are wonderful, a little quirky, and genuinely caring. Emily owns the flower shop in town and is a sweetheart but doesn't realize her own appeal. Saul owns the BBQ restaurant in town and has been trying to get Emily to see that they're perfect for one another.
I would love to live in Cemetery. It's a town where a person could feel at home! One of my favorite things about the story is how Lori has used something as simple as a mannequin (Kathleen) to make it unique. Everyone in town takes turns posing Kathleen at different events and places. I highly recommend this story!!

A touching romance about learning what you want and how to go for it - Saul and Emily are a great pair. They've had a journey finding each other and are finally putting all the pieces together. A great read!

This was a sweet romance between a man and woman who both deserved a second chance at love! I enjoyed watching their relationship develop and the town’s reaction to them being a couple!

The Little Flower Shop by Lori Foster, book two in the Cemetery, Indiana series, is a sweet story filled with the quirkiest characters, supporting friendships, matchmakers, and a mannequin named Kathleen. Emily Lucretia, the “flower lady,” is a successful business owner with her flower shop and Saul Culver, the town’s most eligible bachelor, is also doing well with his barbecue restaurant, Saul’s Pit Shop. Saul is a man, who knows what he wants, and he has long since set his sights on Emily; only he is ready to move that timeline up. On the one hand while Saul decides to make his feelings and desires known, Emily herself begins to realize that it is time to shake up her life a bit. She really hopes that she can break out of her comfort zone, and this definitely includes letting Saul into her life as more than a neighbor and a friend. With an entire town invested in Saul and Emily’s relationship, things are sure to get interesting. Together, Emily and Saul were adorable and obviously meant to be.

While Emily and Saul’s story is the main focus, and while touching, there are additional stories within. There is the love story of Emily’s elderly aunt and uncle, the friendship of Emily and her young employee Gentry, and the way that Betty Cemetery is blossoming. Great-granddaughter of the town’s founder, Betty had been a selfish old biddy in the previous book, but has been coming out of her shell, opening her heart and showing a wicked sense of humor.

Ms. Foster wrote a story that was wonderful, humorous, entertaining, romantic and totally captivating that should definitely not be missed. This tale with characters everyone can relate, was full of romance, humor, family, close friends, small-town life, interesting and entertaining characters, and so much more. I could not put this book down; needing to see Emily’s growth and Saul’s love. I highly recommend The Little Flower Shop to other readers and can’t wait to see whose story will be next in the town of Cemetery

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this story.

THE LITTLE FLOWER SHOP is a delightful story of two people clearly meant to be together who are finally trying to step out of the friend zone and into a more serious relationship. But in the quirky and cute little town of Cemetery, Indiana, things never run in straight lines!

Saul is a great guy. Like many of Lori Foster's heroes, he is laid back, charming, confident, and knows what he wants. He thinks he has been obvious in his flirting with Emily, the flower lady, but discovers she thinks he's just being his normal friendly self. Emily is confident when it comes to her business, but pretty oblivious when it comes to men. A bad marriage convinced her she might be better off alone, now Saul has her wondering if she should take another chance. Watching the two of them overcome their own insecurities as well as support each other was really sweet. I loved how Emily was willing to stand up for what she thought she deserved, which was everything, in a new relationship-instead of allowing past relationships to have her willing to believe she should just accept whatever happened and be glad. She pushed up front conversations when she wasn't sure what was going on and Saul was more than happy to obliged. No games, just romance.

A sweet romance to get us in the summer mood, it was nice to revisit this series. But if you haven't read book 1, THE HONEYMOON COTTAGE, this is a good standalone. Written with a good sense of humor and not afraid to be silly (meet Kathleen!) this was a good, relaxing book.

Yet another great book by the great Lori Foster!
The Little Flower Shop was very enjoyable to read. I laughed a lot! I loved all the personalities, from the kind, sassy and young-at-heart Aunt Mabel & Uncle Sullivan, Mila, Gentry, and Betty to the many adventures of Kathleen. I can just picture Kathleen dressed up for a wedding with her hair in an updo and in a bikini in front of Emily’s Flower Shop. Who knows what other adventures she will get into. Saul & Emily have amazing chemistry. It was nice that Saul’s patience was finally rewarded. It was nice how everyone’s lives became enriched in multiple ways by this awesome friends-to-lovers story. A must read!

For anyone still mourning the end of Sharon Sala's Blessings, Georgia series, there is a remedy--and it's Lori Foster's Indiana Summers series, set in the sweet, quirky, utterly charming town of Cemetery, Indiana. I loved the first book in the series, The Honeymoon Cottage, and I loved reading The Little Flower Shop too, and it gets 5 stars from this utterly contented reader.

Emily is the owner of the Little Flower Shop, and hates being called "perfect," which is how everyone describes her--usually for her classy, prim and proper appearance, good manners and composure, as well as her talent as a florist, but at age 41, Emily is and has been alone for some time, after her 5-year marriage ended in divorce--she married after her second year in college, and that was quite some time ago. She's everyone's friend but she's finally decided she wants more than that out of life. Her trusted employee and friend, Gentry, agrees, although he's only been in town for several months and is pretty closed off about his experiences before arriving in Cemetery.

Then there's Saul, who owns the town's favorite eatery, The Pit Stop, just across the street from Emily's flower shop. He's the handsomest bachelor in town according to the local gossips, and Cemetery has more than it's share of town busybodies. Saul is 39, and has been attempting to flirt with Emily for years, although Emily is more concerned about the fact that's he's younger than she is by 2 years, and his flirting style goes virtually unnoticed by Emily. Well, the nosy parkers in town seem to have decided that it's time to get these two together, and they stoop to the Cemetery town Facebook page, and another fixture in town, a mannequin named Kathleen, all get into the act, and some of their shenanigans are sweet, and some are downright hilarious--especially when we learn who the biggest busybody really is (and no, I'm not giving that away).

In addition, there are also Emily's aunt and uncle, who, in their 70s and 80s are still madly in love and hot for each other, a new gal in town, Mila, who works at Saul's restaurant and immediately who sets her sights on Gentry, and then there's Wheeler, another of Saul's employees who was caught flirting with Emily--and does bit of news travel fast!

A number of the characters in this novel were introduced in the aforementioned novel, The Honeymoon Cottage, and while The Little Flower Shop works just fine as a standalone, I highly recommend reading that novel first because you'll meet some of the characters who appear in this novel, understand how the town got it's name, and because it's also a lovely, quirky and heartwarming read as well.

The timing of the release of this novel is as "perfect" as Emily--spring has sprung, and it's a great way to get rid of winter's chill and settle down in a comfy spot and read a sweet, funny, warm, well-written novel filled with warm and wonderful characters, and I highly recommend it.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions stated are my own.

In “The Little Flower Shop” (Indiana Summers Series #2) by Lori Foster we get to know Emily, the owner of perfect little flower shop and Saul, the owner of the barbeque place a few stores down. As Saul sets his sights on Emily the whole town rallies around finding Emily the perfect guy and #theflowerlady goes viral.

There are plenty of antics - if you read the first book in the series you know about Kathleen and how she gets around. Plus, throw in some well-loved family and friends and you have a fun read with a little bit of everything.

I received an advanced copy of this book, and this is my honest opinion.

It is a feel good romance that's a 5 star read. Loved this 2nd book in the Cemetery IN series by Lori Foster . Although part of a series it can be read as a standalone book.

A 41 year old divorcee, who was raised by her aunt and uncle after her parents death in a car crash when she was 17, runs the flower shop in her small town. Saul, the owner of a local restaurant has patiently waited for Emily to realize there's more than just friendship simmering between them.

She's beautiful, caring, empathetic, and a great listener. When her blind uncle ends up in the hospital after a fall, she begins to view Saul in a different light. He's demonstrative and supportive as she helps her elderly aunt and uncle. She realizes the flutters in her stomach when he's near mean something.

As they grow closer and realize they've found their mate for life, they work to to balance the demands of their businesses, family, and finding time for each other . An upbeat and sweet romance that's a refreshing story. Fun to see the shenanigans with Kathleen, the dummy decorated and left around town.

Although I received a free ARC eBook all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I got the ARC of this book from the author. I love this new series and the town of Cemetery. I also like that there is a secondary story in both the books. Emily's aunt and uncle were so cute. I enjoyed how clueless Emily was to all the flirting. Her and Gentry's relationship is well written and seems authentic. Very few romance novels do platonic relationships so well. And what can I say about Katherine , she just adds to the fun.

I just loved Emily. She’s such a kind and caring person. Saul is is wonderful. I loved the quirky characters. It’s a very uplifting book. There are some sad moments, but overall it was an inspiring book. By the end of the book I felt really good having read it.

This is my review of Lori Foster’s The Little Flower Shop and in a short description: it was awesome! Possible spoilers follow, so be warned and read at your own risk.
Now for the reasons why: firstly, there’s the main characters Emily and Saul. They are two of the most compassionate and endearing characters ever. Emily’s empathy and ability to completely listen to people make her such a wonderful character and Saul with his sense of humor and compassion make him the perfect (that word that Emily hates when applied to her) match for Emily. Secondly, we have the supporting characters who are hilarious! We have Emily’s aunt and uncle, Mabel and Sullivan, who are funny and who are the inspiration for what I would love to have in a marriage. Next, we have Gentry and Mila, who, after a rocky start are just too adorable for words. And then we have Betty Cemetary, the town matriarch who causes no end of trouble. Gotta love her though. And lastly, we have the pets, Satin aka Satan and Snuggles, the cat and dog best friends who make Emily’s life more interesting and fulfilling. Oh, I can’t forget Kathleen the mannequin and all the shenanigans that she gets into either.
I don’t know how many times I burst out laughing because of what was going on with the characters or the dialogue between the characters.
I think that’s why I really enjoy Lori Foster’s books so much. Because of the humor that is present in them and the believability of the characters.
Reading The Little Flower Shop has made me want to read The Honeymoon Cottage all the more. This is a stand-alone, but some of the characters from The Honeymoon Cottage are mentioned in this book.
I normally write shorter reviews for the ARCs that I read, but this book had me from the start and I just absolutely loved it! Once again, another great read from the amazing Lori Foster.
