I enjoyed this book, even when the thought of "he groomed her" came to mind. I am all for an age gap, but I think I wished it would've been a little more where Daisy was in her 20ish and then have the age gap. Otherwise, great heat, great smut, good character development. Looking forward to the next in the series!

Since the moment Ryke met Daisy, I knew they were going to fall for each other. I wasn't sure how or when it was going to happen, but the writing was on the wall. I have to admit, I didn't think I would enjoy their story. I was worried (just like everyone in the story) about their big age gap, and that they would get together before Daisy was an adult. I should have known to trust Krista & Becca Ritchie to craft a story that would have me falling in love with their relationship. They hadn't let me down before, and they didn't this time.

This book begins a couple of years after the end of Kiss the Sky, giving Daisy a chance to reach the legal age of eighteen. The normally happy-go-lucky girl isn't so happy anymore. Daisy is still stuck under her mother's thumb, modeling and hating it. Add to that sleeplessness and night terrors, and she's close to falling apart. Luckily, she has her trusty old friend Ryke to take care of her. Ryke's been a complete gentleman since they met, but Daisy can't help but wish for more.

Hothouse Flower might just be my new favorite book in this mash-up of the Addicted and Calloway Sisters series. As complex as Daisy and Ryke's relationship was, there was something so simple about it that I loved. They got each other. Ryke's ability to support Daisy in any way she needed was really cool. He understood her so well. Ryke knew what she needed even when she didn't. And no matter what, he had her best interest at heart -- even if it killed him at times. Ryke's the type of person everyone should have in their life.

Daisy was a sweet young woman. She would do anything to make those around her happy. I loved seeing her realize that her happiness mattered, too, and that she didn't owe anyone anything. Once she found her happiness with and through Ryke, she wasn't going to let anyone ruin it.

Hothouse Flower was so much fun to read. I loved getting to know these two characters better and falling in love with them as a couple. I'm looking forward to seeing more of "Raisy" and their adventures in upcoming books.

As for the new bonus content... The extended epilogue was sweet and sexy, but also had some medical content that might make some cringe like it did me. The text threads were funny, and I would have liked more. I can do with or without playlists in books, so I don't really have an opinion on that part. There is also a Thrive excerpt.

This is was such an amazing addition to this series. I absolutely love Daisy and Ryke as a couple and I love that the story dives into them as characters. I was originally super skeptical of this story due to the big age gap, but I love the attention the authors gave to that rather than glossing over it!

I really enjoyed this book! I thought to progression of Daisy and Ryke's relationship was great, and the plot moved at a pretty fast clip (especially compared to the other books in this series). However, I would still classify this as a character-driven book. I think Daisy is such a fascinating character with so many layers. I also liked seeing the rest of the core six from another perspective. Some of the plot was crazy, but I think that's what makes this series so entertaining and "addicting." (Proud of myself for that pun!)

I personally just don't care for Ryke's constant cursing, which is what brought this rating slightly down. I know it's just his personality, but it got on my nerves.

Overall, this was a really fun read! Age gap romance fans will absolutely love this book.

Ryke's and Daisy's story is a little twisted due to their age difference, and if you are uncomfortable or triggered this is not for you. This is still in this rich prestigious world and follows along the dark world and kinks of these super prestigious young adults. I did like this book I enjoyed their chemistry and how much they cared about each other. If you want to see a dark exploration of Gossip Girl or Pretty Little Liars, this book and series is perfect for you.
