Pretty good and so cute! I really liked the plot of this one, the characters were likeable and charming too. The art was solid, which is important to me with manga. I'll happily keep reading this one, the ending just makes you want to stay around and find out more.

Thank you NetGalley, Yen Publisher and author for providing me with this book for honest review.

I really love this manga, it’s light and fun. Such a quick read too. I love the siblings dynamic, the friendship is just so precious, and I can’t wait to see everyone know himari as herself soon in the next book!

When we have twins as protagonists in a manga, we can only expect endless trouble and misunderstanding! Mio and Himari choose two different high schools, but they promise to tell eachother every week what happens to them. Himari one day tells her sister that there is a boy who is wooing her, but she soon discovers that he is not a good person and has her attacked by thugs when she breaks up with him.
Traumatized Himari stays at home for a long time, afraid to go back to school. Mio noticing the difficulties of her sister decides to help her and pretending a cold, asks her to go to her school instead of her.
Even though it's not easy for Himari at the beginning, she slowly becomes more and more attached to the new classmates she has to deal with and the desire to see them again is clear.
When the school festival is organized and Mio invites her to participate as herself, however, misunderstandings begin. The sisters swap clothes once again to attend some events at the same time and Himari finds herself spending time with the boy who has been kind to her since day one.
And that Mio's best friend likes too... I foresee a lot of trouble!
I also have the feeling that sooner or later both sisters will start attending the same school ... who knows ...we'll see!
It's a really smooth and pleasant read and I would definitely like to continue reading!

Thanks Netgalley for letting me read the preview.

Well this got a little serious a little fast. And it ended on a minor cliffhanger too! UGH! But I think that it's going to be a solid series. Himari and Mio care about each other so much, and have a great relationship. It's going to be interesting to see how Himari handles herself the longer she is out and pretending to be Mio. I am glad to see that she's making friends and is starting to gain her confidence back. I'm super curious to see what's going to happen in the next volume!

Thank you to Monika Kaname, Yen Press, and Netgalley for the ARC!

tl;dr Lovely artwork sets a solid foundation for a shoujo tale of high school romance and fun twin swap hijinks. Read the content warning first.

About
Despite having different personalities and attending different schools, twin sisters Himari and Mio are extremely close. After an event at school leaves Himari home and unwilling to return to school, Mio hatches a plan to help her sister by pulling the time-honored tradition of swapping places!

Thoughts
Content warning on the front end, here. It's assault. Spoiler: Himari turns down a boy at her school, and he's rich enough to hire guys to beat her up in retaliation, and connected enough to make sure there's no investigation afterwards. The attack is so vicious that she passes out and wakes up in the hospital later.

It's no surprise that Himari doesn't want to go back to her school, and I wouldn't make her. Her twin sister Mio, worried that Himari is struggling, gets Himari to attend Mio's school instead, all while posing as Mio. This leads us to the bulk of the story - twin swap shenanigans. Himari is quieter and more stoic, while Mio is outgoing and cutesy, which leads to the usual hijinks of Himari attempting to mimic her sister's behaviors to varied success. (Mio's BFF is not fooled for a second.) It was very nice to see each sister's individual personality and interest shine through. There's a very fun arc about how the difference in the sisters' baking skills makes trouble for them maintaining the facade. There's also the added wrinkle of each of the sisters being interested in a different boy, which is that good tasty shoujo drama I adore. Both boys are interesting and kind with attractive designs, and I'm interested to see how this plays out. Himari's trauma makes it difficult for her to get close to boys now, and while the story doesn't spend too much time on it, it's definitely a part of her story. Even with that, the storytelling is soft and gentle shoujo fare: Sweet days in high school cheering for sports, doing club activities, and baking cookies. The artwork is clean and attractive with a very pleasant blend of classic and modern styles, with distinct looks for everyone involved. A handful of hints and the cliffhanger imply that things might get heavier in the future, but I am invested in seeing where these kids go from here.

Thank you to NetGalley, Yen Press, and Monika Kaname for the ARC and allowing me this opportunity to read and share my thoughts!

I just wanted to inform you that the kindle version of this manga is very broken as of right now!

This story follows Himari, a twin sister to Mio. For most of their life they have always been connected and went to the same school. Himari decides to transfer to a different high school without telling her sister. However, the transfer was not kind to Himari and she ends up dropping out of school, never leaving the house. Mio, wanting to help her sister out, asks her a favor... To dress up as her and attend class for her.

Himari has to pretend to be her sister even though their personalities are very different and she doesn't know how Mio acts around her fellow classmates. As well as Himari trying to overcome her own trauma within the story.

I loved the sisters. You can tell they care about each other and Mio is so funny when bouncing off of her more stoic sister. I really loved Himari too. You can tell she has a big heart and can read people fairly well, trying to make them happy and comfortable. The male lead is very kind, although we haven't seen too much of him outside of being a nice prince like character. I honestly can't wait for future installments of his manga because I can tell it can be so good. Highly recommend!
