Holly White is preparing for Christmas, as well as her own Christmas Eve wedding.
In an opportunity to bring tourists to their Christmas town, a ballet troupe has arrived, ready to perform The Nutcracker, but we all know this won't end well.
This is a great cozy mystery series, I especially love reading Christmas themed cozies and Stalking Around the Christmas Tree is delightful.
This is easily read as a stand alone book, but I definitely suggest reading them all, you will enjoy catching up with Holly White and her friends.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of the book.

Thank you NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for the opportunity to read "Stalking Around the Christmas Tree" in exchange for my honest review.

This is book 4 in the Christmas Tree Farm mystery series. Holly White the innkeeper at the Reindeer Games Inn in Mistletoe, Maine. Holly is marrying Sheriff Evan Gray at Christmas and her inn is busy because of the Christmas parade and the staging of The Nutcracker Ballet. When disaster strikes the lead ballerina Holly is drawn into the investigation. Added to the complications is a snowstorm that is due to hit town and the fact that the company will be moving on and with the possibly the killer of Tiffany.

The fourth entry in this Christmas-themed mystery series has Holly involved in another murder investigation as she deals with her approaching wedding to Sheriff Evan, wintry weather, and her family’s usual Christmas events for their Christmas tree farm. Regular readers will enjoy catching up with the regular characters in Holly’s hometown. You could read this as a stand-alone, but it will make a lot more sense if you’ve read the series. These books are always well-written, with engaging characters and a lovely small town feel. My only complaint is that Holly’s motivation for getting so involved never completely works in this one. At times it’s hard to believe someone with so many other important things going on would devote so much time to investigating the death of someone she barely knew, or that so many people would answer her many, many questions. That said, fans of the series will enjoy this.

After a bit of a wait, this cozy series is back for a fun finale! Jacqueline Frost (aka Julie Anne Lindsey, Bree Baker, Julie Chase) brings her welcoming characters from the Christmas Tree Farm back for Holly and Evan’s wedding, and of course a murder to be solved.
Although this author excels at creating fun mysteries and characters, this gang is my personal favorite. “Cookie” Cutter just can’t be beat.
I can’t bear to spoil anything! Please trust that if you love Julie and/or cozy mysteries, you’ll love this. When you do, be sure to find her Cozy Queens Facebook group, where she’s very active (and frankly, just as charming and likable as her writing style.)

Loved it! Thanks to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for allowing ARC access.

Holly White works as an innkeeper in their family-owned tree farm, Reindeer Games. Her family also has a cafe ☕️ called the Hearth and her mother is a baker while her father’s a lumberjack 🪵.

Her friend Caroline had opened her shop a couple of years back with a little help from their friend Cookie, and Caroline’s Cupcakes had become an instant hit.

It’s one week before Christmas in Mistletoe, Maine and business at Reindeer Games Inn is booming, the annual parade is about to begin and Holly’s set to marry her fiancé Sheriff Evan Gray on Christmas Eve night in the big barn on their property.

For the parade, Mayor West, Caroline’s father has invited a group to perform would perform *The Nutcracker*, a holiday staple and emblem of Christmas since 1892. An effort to draw in tourists and promote local businesses.

The mayor has also made arrangements for the choreographer and several key dancers to stay at the inn 🏨

But when Tiffany Krieg, the lead ballerina 🩰 turns up dead in a float during the parade, it’s up to Holly to find out who’s responsible for the murder before Christmas and her wedding day

Thank you to Jacqueline Frost, NetGalley, and Crooked Lane Books for the arc of this book.
