O’Neal, Auden and Lennox quite literally took my breath away while listening to this audio. Because I did not read the full synopsis before starting, I was not quite aware that this is a MMF romance. I thought I was going to be reading a new adult suspsenful romance that involved O’Neal trying to find out what really happened when her mother died at college a decade ago. While there were parts of O’Neal trying to find information, it really was about O’Neal coming into her own and finding herself while also finding her best friend’s brother and his roommate.
Overall this was a great read, I kept finding myself going back for more to see what would happen next. I really appreciated all of the positive attitudes regarding being open minded and really leaning into learning about topics that came up throughout the book, especially in relation to the families with strict Catholic upbringings.
Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook in exchange for my honest opinion.

I was entertained for the majority of the book. I enjoyed the characters and for a smutty book, I felt there was a good balance between story and smut, as well as character development being more one dimensional while still getting them. I didn't find it believable, but I don't think that's the point of these types of books. It was a tad bit long, but the audiobook made it a quick listen with a great narrator and I looked forward to listening it.

3.5 stars.

At first I thought this book read a bit young, but once you get through the beginning, it very quickly turned into much more adult, spicy fun.

I’m not entirely sure what the audience’s age range is supposed to be for this book, but the main characters appear to be no more than 23 years old (first year graduate student being the oldest), so it did feel a bit weird reading spicy parts with such young characters.

Then there are some of the story tidbits that were a bit outrageous like O’Neal’s 4.8 GPA. Somehow she has a 4.8 GPA, but then applies to colleges we’ve never heard of. This little factoid seemed just a tad unbelievable.

There isn’t exactly a plot, so the actual story is a bit lacking, hence the rating. But if you’re wanting to read something that leaves you hot and bothered, then this is it. I’ve never read anything by this author before, but this is definitely one of the better spicy books I’ve read. I would certainly read another by her.

The FMC, was a fun and well rounded character for the most part. I had a love / hate for her and the explorative nature after being sheltered her whole life. To me it’s a great theme and landed her in lots of steamy situations, but it seemed a bit cheesy making it feel unrealistic. The MMC’s and their dynamic with the FMC was great, and almost all their scenes were scorching hot.

This book had SO much steaminess, the author really knows how to hook its audience in - and keep it. It was almost effortless to get lost in this book except for the narrator. I just could not stand them, to me their voice just ruined so many moments and always made me want to stop listening. The way I was describing it to my friend was that it felt like they were making fun of the story and characters - it felt like a comedic voice that I would use to mock someone.

I wish I could have read the book instead or listened to the audio book because I really think this could have been great.

I am generally not a fan of YA - nor polyamorous - stories...but I AM a fan of Roni Loren. So I decided to give this one a chance.

Story-wise, it was a mixed bag. I liked the coming-of-age aspect of story, with a heroine who grew up under the scandalous shadow of her mother's death and uber- overprotective grandparents. But there was a lot of repetitive inner monologue, and a lot of push and pull between the three main characters - both of which make me cranky. There were also some storylines that had an anticlimactic end (the heroine's mother's past was concluded with a couple sentences, and there's still the big question of how the families will react to the three's unconventional relationship - but maybe another book in the series will address it???).

I appreciated that for the most part, the heroine and both heroes behaved like mature adults. But also, maybe they were too mature and self-aware. I have a college student who is still waiting for his peers to start acting like adults so I couldn't help feel these characters didn't represent realistic young/new adults. (And yet...that's why I didn't quit on this book - normally I can't hang with stories about college students.)

So you see, I waffled a lot on my opinion of this one.

The narrator, Samantha Summers, was very good! She was probably also a contributing reason to why I was able to finish listending to this audiobook.

Will I read if there's more to this series. Eh, probably not. But I'll definitley read more Roni Loren!

O’Neal has always lived a sheltered life, told that sex is bad and her desires should be ignored and hidden. But when Auden, her best friends brother tries to “protect” her in school, she not only finds that she can no longer ignore all of her feelings and emotions that she’s always had for him, but she also develops feelings for his roommate Lennox.
This novel follows the very detailed polyamorous, erotic and spicy love story between O’Neal, Auden and Lennox. Both partners teach O’Neal something about herself, about life and about love. This is definitely a 5/5 on the spice level and will keep you at the edge of your seat! I wouldn’t mind a peak into the life of these three characters and their relationship flourishes and grows.

First of all thank you to Netgalley for the ARC audio copy of Good Girl Fail.

Rating: 3.5 stars

The spice in this book was great. I enjoyed the main characters overall but felt like there could have been a little more character development and unfortunately the story itself fell a bit flat for me, especially her mothers part of the story which I found a bit odd and didn't really add anything to the book.

I really liked this book I rate out of 6 and I have it 5 stars on my rating scale!
It sweet, it’s fun and it’s steamy!
I adored the dynamic of the main three characters and the way their relationship develops.
I really grew attached to Shaq ♥️
Thanks for a great audiobook experience.

I LOVED this one and devoured it. I made myself go on extra dog walks just so I could listen in the freezing cold. :)

The steam level is pretty high on this one! Love the idea of the innocence and sheltered character of O’Neal. Auden and Lennox were absolutely swoon-worthy.

For fear of giving too much away, I will leave it at… if you like steamy romance you should try this one out.

My only letdown was leaving the murder case a little unfinished. I also would have loved an update from the grandparents after they discovered O’Neal’s truth.

Thank you, NetGalley for the privilege of receiving an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

good girl fail had some good things going for it. the exploration of one's sexuality was front and center, especially with the sheltered o'neal— who was kept on a very short leash due to the untimely murder of her mother. her grandparents hope to prevent history from repeating itself by keeping her locked away from any type of undue harm. this becomes detrimental to o'neal, who makes a choice for herself when she breaks away from their influence to be truly independent. the fight to have agency over her decisions and choices is a valiant one that i was happy to listen to.

sadly, it was never fully explored. rather than spending time in o'neal learning what she wanted out of her life and her academic career, one she was literally disowned for pursuing, it feels as if the story is immediately thrust into her feelings for her best friend's older brother, auden. from there, it delves into the sexual escapades and exploration between the pair and his roommate, lennox. this is where my biggest gripe with the story is found. as spicy as the scenes with the 3 were — and they were very spicy - it felt like a very rushed journey where o'neal was thrust into situations she is ill-equipped and ill-prepared for. on top of that, the pacing seems very accelerated given how quickly the trio fall into a level of intimacy. between that and the hot/cold games played up, it feels as if the characters were caricatures in a way. you have the sexually inept being taught by the sexually repressed who was enlightened by the sexually liberated.

it likely wasn't meant as such, but the pacing makes it feel very fast in its development. add to that, the supposedly brutal murder of o'neal's mother who served as a catalyst for her upbringing being used as a plot point that's barely touched upon and is only tossed in when it seems convenient, made this a read that didn't feel entirely plausible or enjoyable for me.

Ummm ok I was not expecting this book to be basically erotica, whoops! Very hot straight out of the gate, first kiss with the forbidden best friend's older brother is at 4% and it doesn't let up. I didn't realize this was a kink book and the discovery of that was like when the person in front of you pays for your coffee, I mean that was an an unexpected delight, thank you!

This is the filithiest book I've read in a long time by a mile. She falls for her BFF's older brother but whoops he's a dom and already in a relationship with his male roommate where they do MMF BDSDM scenes together. And she's a virgin, so it's basically all sex lessons. If you like praise kink, spanking, good girls, two guys, lots of instructions, very light bondage, and very sweet tender aftercare scenes, this book will ring all your bells. There is a rather fantastical final scene where I was like uhh yeah she's gonna want to prep a LITTLE better for that, but otherwise it was phenomenal.

This book then kind went off the rails for me (pardon the pun) because they form this lovely poly relationship and I'm like ... as an older woman I want to scream at her that this is not going to end well and she's gonna end up feeling used and miserable, and it basically just threw me out of the story. It was like trying to shove a romance and an erotic episode together but make it a threesome. Yeah. No.

The sex scenes were plentiful and hot as hellll but I just couldn't wrap my head around why these three were in love with each other or how the hell it was going to work long term so I ended up feeling bad for her the whole time she was getting her back blown out.

Also the subplot of her mother's murder and the true crime angle, meh - I didn't understand the point of it other than the slut shaming aspect and how insidious it is, and then they have this common ground that just feels too much like a Hail Mary pass like what was the reason? None of this was necessary and since we were basically here for the menage scenes it was a downer to have all this murder vibe going around.

I loved loved loved her dorm mate girlfriend and would love her own story, please. I also thought the narration was great and unobtrustive.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I have mixed feelings about this book. If you want to read pure smut with some extremely spicy scenes then this is definitely a great book. However, if you want a spicy book with a good plot line, then this is not that book. I feel like there was a potential plot for O'Neil trying to find out who murdered her mother, but it was barely mentioned and then fizzled out without much resolution. This was basically a book about a 19yr old virgin who's two guy friends teach her that she loves kink. I loved the smut but wish there was more storyline.

Good Girl Fail-Audiobook
3 Stars
4.5 Narration

The overall storyline was engaging, but lacked depth or maturity. Our main character reads like a child, not a woman. This really threw me off and I found myself having a hard time connecting with the characters. I didn't exactly dislike Good Girl Fail, it's just a very spicy book that lacked much of a plot, and several subplots were dropped completely. This is my first time reading Roni Loren, and likely the last. I need more developed, mature characters.

Not going to lie, I did love the narrator, Samantha Summersof. She made this audiobook! Her voice held my attention. It's so nice and chill. They did a really good job moving this story forward. Not sure I would have finished this book otherwise. Thank you, NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, for an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I am a fan of Roni Loren and have read a few of her Contemporary Romance so I thought that I would like this coming of age steamy story. The overall storyline was spicy and engaging. There were some heartwarming moments that I enjoyed about O'Neal's backstory and all the characters trying to be true to themselves. However, there were quite a few subplots that definitely could have been fleshed out more. I’ll also say that I didn't feel the connection between Lennox and O'Neal so that it felt like Lennox was in it to be with Auden long term. I did enjoy the narrator or the audiobook.

Holy smut! This book was very spicy and the only words I have are wow. The polyamorous relationship was a very interesting and different dynamic that I did not anticipate at first.

Audiobook Review:
Overall – 5
Performance – 5
Story – 5

Amazing, hot and wonderful story!!

I loved this book when I read it with my eyes and I loved it even more when I listened to Samantha Summers perform the audiobook. I’m really picky about female audiobook performers so I want to tell everyone how much I loved this one. The performance greatly enhanced my enjoyment of a story that I already loved! Below is what I wrote after reading the book with my eyes. There isn’t anything else that I can add to that review.

Original review:
OMG – She’s back! I got hooked on Roni Loren’s writing back in 2014 when I read Crash Into You, the first book in her fantastic Loving on the Edge series. Even after she paused in writing erotic romance, I continued to read and love her books. But I’ve gotta say that I am so glad she’s writing in this genre again.

Good Girl Fail is seriously HOT! 🔥 O’Neal Lory’s mother died when she was five and her mother’s parents have raised her. They are very wealthy but they are also very pious and have sheltered her (restricted her) to the point that it was unreasonable. She graduated from an all-girls school and is headed for the ultra-conservative college that her grandparents have chosen for her. But she wants to study journalism and they don’t teach it there. She secretly applied to a different college and got a full-ride scholarship – it also happens to be the school where her best friend’s older brother goes. She’s secretly been in love with him for a long time.

Auden Blake knows he needs to steer clear of O’Neal but his mother has other ideas. She asks Auden to keep an eye on O’Neal because she’s on her own for the first time ever. He can’t refuse but he also needs to make sure that O’Neal doesn’t learn about his secrets.

I read this book in one session and didn’t do anything else until I’d finished it. There is so much I could say about this story but the blurb is really good so I recommend reading it and I don’t want to rehash it. I just want to shout that if you’ve read Roni Loren’s other erotic romances you won’t want to miss this one.

O’Neal, Auden and Lennox get an HFN, and there’s even a bonus chapter that gives us a bit more, but I have to admit that I really wanted a few other details wrapped up. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this isn’t the last we’ll hear about this triad and that this is only the start of Roni Loren’s return to writing erotic romance.

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request; my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

Ugh, I honestly don't know what to review here; I love Roni with all my heart, I love, love Roni's Say Everything series to the moon and back, BUT I...well, it's not that I dislike it, it's just that I didn't see much of a plot. First, O'Neal's thing with her dead mom was irrelevant to the story, no relation there, but okay. Second, I feel MMF was well written because hell it was hot and beyond spicy, BUT Auden's character was useless. Third, even though I have finished reading the book, I still don't know anything about the characters, nada, zero. WAY TOO MUCH DIALOGUE, INNER DIALOGUE. Yes, I ended up being in love with Lennox, he's the reason for my rating because other than that, again, nada, there was like 2 percent between 55% to 60% where I was like "Yes!!!! Lennox, c'mon you can do the relationship with O'Neal". However, nothing happened, this story was meh; it left me asking for action, but the only action it had was sex.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and author for allowing me to listen to this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review. First, off, I didn't completely finish the book. It has strong sexual content that includes more than 2 people involved during explicit actions. I do not believe in these things, so I did not finish the book.
