Good Girl Fail had its ups and downs but I enjoyed it by the end. I didn't like the pacing of the book. It was fast and made relationships feel forced and rushed. Some of the side characters felt incomplete and I wished I could have gotten to know them better. But this book delivered on spice! The main relationship in Good Girl Fail is mmf and they had fiery chemistry together. So despite feeling rushed I did like the main characters together and enjoyed this quick story by the end.

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

"You look like a very good girl."

Audiobook Review:
This is an 18+ read. I first saw Good Girl Fail by Roni Loren listed as an available audiobook on NetGalley under New Adult Romance. Good Girl Fail is narrated by Samantha Summers, who has narrated several book titles. A few of the titles Samantha Summers has narrated include: Second Chance Love by M. Robinson, Tease by Melanie Harlow, and Abandoned Girl by Lexie Winston. I found Samantha's narration pace to be slower than average at 1x speed. This, of course, is not a huge issue because I just turn my listening speed up to match my comfort. She did a great job voicing the different voices, and I overall enjoyed listening to her narration.

Narration aside, I did enjoy the story as well. I did find that the story was lacking in detail. There was limited detail offered by way of the characters' appearance or surroundings. I love a detailed book that I can just get lost in, and unfortunately, Good Girl Fail just did not deliver on this aspect. Good Girl Fail is about a young woman and her immediate journey post high school of finding herself after being a very sheltered child by her grandparents. The female main character, O'Neal, decides to take on her mother's case for her journalism course in desperation to solve her case or just feel closer to her mother. This journey of self and story chasing seem to be the main plots, but the romance is very much the main focus in Good Girl Fail. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I just feel like I listened to a long book with very little substance.

I did enjoy the themes of finding self wound throughout Good Girl Fail. O'Neal's first move towards taking back her life and living for herself is choosing a college. Her grandmother wanted her to attend an all-girls private college, but this college did not offer a degree in which O'Neal was interested. She was at war with herself over pleasing her grandparents and choosing what they wanted or what she knew in her heart that she wanted. O'Neal's desires ultimately ended up winning out, and O'Neal enrolled in a college where she could pursue her career in journalism. All of this was thanks to a little motivation from her long-standing childhood crush, Auden, who had just given her O'Neal's first kiss. O'Neal keeps making choices for herself once she is at college and becomes very shocked by the desires of her heart. I felt like the book ended abruptly and left too many questions left unanswered.

There are several explicit sexual scenes throughout Good Girl Fail. Erotic scenes include oral, vaginal, anal, double, and some light BDSM themes. The scenes are detailed but, again, not as detailed as I prefer writing to be. I won't go into much detail in this section, but the explicit scenes are also a part of O'Neal's unknowing journey of finding oneself.

"She's been wrapped up like fine china her whole life."

This line perfectly describes our FMC O'Neal Lory. Her whole life she believed that one mistake might shatter her life irreparably. But with all of that overprotection came a rebellion. She tossed aside the heavy expectations of her strict upbringing and went to the college of her choosing. Cut off from her former life, she embarks on a new adventure in journalism school.

Her one contact at college: her best friend's older brother Auden. THE Auden, the one that was her first kiss the summer before. The "off-limits" Auden who tried to tell himself he wasn't attracted to his little sister's
BFF. It's wrong, wrong, wrong! But is it? He can't stop thinking about her, wanting to help her, wanting to encourage her to be wholly herself.

Auden's roommate, Lennox makes the third point of a triangle of discovery and exploration that these three will embark on together.

This book is about a naïve girl coming into her adulthood, learning from a trusted older paramour, and in turn he learning to love and accept himself for who he is. It's also about trust and pushing limits. It has lots of spice! The relationship dynamics is the main focus, there is also a little bit of a murder mystery involved in trying to find out the details of O'Neal's mother being murdered when she was 5 at this very same college.

Over all it was really good. Technically: my audiobook audio seemed like it was too slow, so I listened to it on 1.25 speed and then it sounded normal. The narrator is excellent, her voices per character are very distinct.

Overall if you have an interest in a sheltered virgin coming of age book with lots of spice, this is a good one to try.

Audiobook ARC Review
.
So I was an instant fan of Roni Loren after reading and loving the Say Everything Series. I all but squealed getting an ARC for the audiobook of Good Girl Fail 💛
.
We get a TEACH ME trope with a former religious good girl entering college, and asking for help from her best friends brother….AND his roommate! 😮‍💨 The spice was just phenomenal. If it makes sense, it was like a fast, but felt slow, story speed? A lot happens and you’re afraid the book is over then you have about her 60%
.
O’Neal 🙌🏼 Auden 🙌🏼 Lennox - Absolutely loved the dynamics of this trio - O’Neal’s coming of age; Aidan’s acceptance of not hidding himself; and Len is just here to keep the two of them from running scared.
.
And if none of this sold you yet (which is rude, you should already be ready to read/ listen to this) than O’Neal is also learning to find out more about her mothers brutal murder that occurred when she was 5. My little true crime loving heart was so interested in every component of this book. @roniloren did it yet again. It’s official. Ima SIMP 💛

Yes it was steamy but it was also character driven book. I loved the sincere and open dialogs admire the courage and loved the loyalty. A strange mix of emotions was a perfect discovering of who they wanted to be and with who. Poli romance that make best friends to lovers. Incredible and magnificant.

This book was a perfect blend of spice and heart. I really liked all three main characters and their relationship.
I think, it did a pretty good job at unpacking religious trauma and kinkshaming.
The audiobook itself was fantastic.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Okay so to start this off I absolutely loved how confident O’Neal was in taking back her life and making her own choices despite what her family wanted her to do/be. O’Neal is a perfect example of what it’s like to go to college after a life of being in a bubble. Roni Lauren wrote a beautiful and well rounded FMC. This book pushes what is perceived as “normal” to so many people.

Our MMCs are also beautifully written despite being so opposite of each other. They way Auden and Lennox cared for not just O’Neal but for each other made the relationship between the characters flourish.

Also loved having side characters who added to the story and weren’t just there to be there!

Huge thank you to NetGalley and Roni Lauren for the book in exchange for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Holy hotness!! Wow. So I decided to give this a listen purely based off of the cover and title. During the first hour or so of audio I determined this must be a YA best friends brother romance full of first time sweetness.... Nope nope nope! In this novel we follow O'Neal as she starts a brand new life at college away from her religious, overly strict grandparents. She's led a very sheltered life and is, of course, a virgin. She has had 1 kiss, 1 year ago with her best friends older brother Auden, who currently attends the college she just enrolled in. Auden has a roommate named Lex and lots of fun, dirty, hot things occur with this threescore (pun intended). Don't worry. There's love , trust and relationship building as well, but also.... lots and lots of spicccccce! I usually DNF 3rd person books, it's just a personal preference and I'm not sure if I enjoyed this more because I listened to the audio book version or if the novel is just that good. Either way, I really enjoyed it! The only reason I gave 4 stars vs 5 is I felt like the ending could've been a little more informative about the murder or more info about Maya or the Blake's reactions. I received a free audio version of this book for my honest review.

"You fought for this. For him, for me, for us. You didn't let us hide, she splayed her hands against his chest. You loved us enough to Not, To, Give, Up..."

*MMF
*Dominate
*Consent
*Acceptance
*Praise Kink
*College age
*Best friend's sister
*Purity Culture

I LOVE the acceptance, and the learning that occurs in O'Neal's journey. She breaks free from her perfect pure religious life to go to college. Her grandparents disowned from herm so now she's on her own. The shining light is that her best friend's brother is there to watch over her and show her the ropes. Only the ropes he shows her end up being more about herself than they are about school.
There is nothing better than a super kinky novel that is full of consent and open communication.

I hope this is not the end of their story, because I and I'm sure everyone else wants more ;)

I hadn't realized there was domination and humiliation involved, which I don't enjoy as a theme. I just couldn't finish it, but I did actually like the writing until it mentioned that this would be involved. This book just wasn't for me.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an ARC audiobook in exchange for an honest review. I wish it could've been more positive.

In all fairness this isn't my normal genre. I was under the assumption based on Netgalley that this was romance and that's my bad as I should've looked on Goodreads to learn it's actually erotica, MMF, Menage, LGBT, BDSM and as a divorced mom of three teens I only know of 1 of these terminologies.
I'm not the audience you'd want and because of this I'd only managed to get to 20% before having to hurry and shut it off so my eldest didn't hear it playing in the home w/o headphones. LOL.
Perhaps with the right audience this would get a higher rating but for this old fashioned strict Catholic gal who led life through the straight and narrow it's not for me.
Thank you for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

This one just wasn't for me. I was looking for something steamy and fun and light-hearted (and it is all of that) but I wasn't a fan of just how young (New Adulty) it read or the love triangle/threesome plot (totally a me thing) - if this is your jam it may be perfect for you. I'm still a huge Roni Loren fan and would recommend this one for people who enjoy authors like Elle Kennedy! Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

Good Girl Fail🫶🏻
By Roni Loren🫦

This is one of the hottest book I’ve ever read. The first time I heard the phrase, “good girl,” I was sold. This is a story about a very sheltered girl breaking free from her family’s extreme rules. She goes to college and finally gets to figure out who she really is. I about died when she realizes she’s in love with not one, but two guys. I’m usually not into this storyline, but it was done extremely well! I loved the three different point of views. The friendship in this book was my favorite part, especially since the FMC didn’t have her real family to lean on. Great spice and good plot!

Sheltered girl✨
Coming of age💐
Best friends brother🥰
Polyamorous👀
Forbidden love💋

Quote that killed me:

“What if you give me exactly what I need?”

4 Stars

What to say…. This book is hot hot hot. It really should be categorized as erotica. I’m giving it 4 stars, it had 5🌟 potential but I felt like there were chapters missing or something. The story well, there wasn’t a huge story. It was enjoyable for sure I liked the MCs I just wish there was more to it. Light BDSM, like very very minor IMO. Loved the narrator for this audio book. So so good.
