Oh my Jessica Redland, you’ve done it again. I’m sat here in tears at the end of Summer Nights at The Starfish Cafe, and the thought that that’s the end of The Starfish Cafe series. I adored it completely.
Holly, Jake and the others already felt like old friends but this last story has cemented them firmly in my heart. Such a heartwarming emotional story to end on. These stories are always full of so many wonderful characters and I love Jessica’s way of including so many in the community. These stories are always so full of hope and love and are a perfect read to get lost in.

Catch up again with Hollie and Jake and some of the other Starfish Cafe and Whitsborough Bay characters. And meet some new ones.

As with any Jessica Redland book difficult topics are addressed, but in a wonderful way.

Another lovely book in the series. Great to catch up with Hollie, Jake, Pickle and their friends again. Sad to see this is the last in the series though

Fantastic, another great book from Jessica Redland, she never fails, her books are always great to read. It is a shame that this in the last in this series, but then all good things have to come to an end. The story is complete and all the characters have played their parts with them coming to their ending. Jessica's books are always well worth far more than 5 stars and this one is no different. Loved the setting and the characters, well done yet again. Can't wait tp see where the next series takes us. 5 stars and I highly recommend this book to all.

This book takes me back the Starfish Café and all the magnificent characters in the series. This book is the final one of the series and author Jessica Redland did a complete job of filling in the blanks, giving us more of each character , friendships, romance and all the things that make a series a hit are wrapped up inside the covers of the three books in this series.
I highly recommend this series to help you relax and enjoy the Starfish Café.

Jessica Redland is one of my firm favourite authors, I always know when I pick up one of her books I am going to love it, and Summer Nights at the Starfish Cafe did not disappoint.
I both sobbed and smiled my way through this book, some extremely touching & emotional moments coupled with the ‘feel good’ storyline writing that Jessica is so good at. This storyline is one from the heart, you can tell that this is partly a lived experience and that the storytelling is true.
This is the perfect end to the Starfish Cafe series. Although I am sad that this series has come to an end it is a fitting end and brings together the interwoven links between many characters who have featured in this series and also some we first met in other Whitsborough Bay books. I hope there are many more trips to Whitsborough Bay still to come, and that we might be lucky enough get a quick glimpse into the happily ever afters from the Starfish Cafe on another visit to the seaside town.

This book was absolutely brilliant.
For me Jessica Redland is one of those authors whose writing is so familiar that I love nothing more than curling up with her books and just escaping from the world for a bit and this book definitely helped me do that.
It was emotional at times and some topics were hard to read about but she handled them sensitively and with the care they deserved. You realize when reading the Acknowledgements how she was able to handle them so well.
Whilst I'm gutted that this is the last book in this series, I have a feeling that in the first few chapters of this book we got a hint of what her next book might be about, I could be wrong, we will have to wait and see. One thing's for sure, I'll miss Holly, Jake, Pickle and the other characters that made this series so brilliant!

This will get me reading more romance novels again! Excellent. I really enjoyed reading this one. Great and very realistic. Great setting, believable characters and situations. Would love to read more from this author.

I really enjoy Jessica Redlands books. Theyre cute and enjoyable the her settings are always great. Who doesn't love settings by the English coast?

Final book in this series...boo!!!

So nice to go back and visit the Starfish Cafe in such lovely summer weather! Getting reacquainted with people we've met in prior books, scoring an invite to not just one wedding (Hollie and Jake's) but also to Tori and Finley's! We get to know much more about Kerry, Hollie's employee, and her 4 children that she is raising on her own...well, was, until their father, Cameron, decides to drop back into their lives after so many years of silence.

I enjoyed watching Kerry navigate the stressors that Cameron creates by trying to force his way back into the children's lives, but mostly that Kerry learned to stand up for herself, momma bear for her children, thankful daughter for her Mum's support and giving herself permission to have her first relationship since Cameron.

I'm sad this is the last book of the series, but I'm sure that the author has something else in the works for us to enjoy.

Another brilliant book from Jessica. It was lovely to return to the same characters but, tinged with sadness as it was the last one in this series. It had its happy moments then it had its sad moments too. I enjoyed this one and hope she will start a new series soon. This sweet romance is a full of friendship, love, and emotional times. It is such a lovely read, and I didn’t want it to end, I wanted to find out more about where the characters’ lives would lead.

I really felt for Hollie as she tries to support her husband whilst going through such a difficult time herself. She is a strong woman, and caring towards her other friends.

I also found Kerry to be a strong woman who only wants the best for her children, and it was heart-breaking to think she might not follow her heart when she might have a chance of love.

Overall, a sweet, emotional romance where the friends at the Starfish Café help each other through the struggles of life.

This is the 3rd book of Starfish Cafe series, the book continue from previous book, it can be read as stand alone and author explaine it well what happend in previous book. My first in this series and this book is good. I really enjoy the story from Hollie pov and Kerry pov. Hollie and Jack in happy place, ready to married and there is drama from Jack sister Larissa. Jack patient with her sister, Hollie face another sadness for losing someone again.

Kerry face summer with her ex husband Cameron, try to reconcile with the children after leave her and no contact for 7 years. Wow i really dont like Cameron, Here his reason leaving Kerry: never loved her, married her out of duty, stayed with her to prove his parents wrong, and treated marriage and fatherhood as a task. His intention to Kerry was no good and leading to leave her with 4 kids. Life changing event happent to Cameron and make him want to meet the childrens. Kerry is a strong and good mother, raise her childrens right with no spoile but loving. She deserve Artie, she deserve happiness.

Jessica Redland has done it again! I absolutely loved being back at the Starfish Cafe but so sad that this is the last book of the series. This book focuses on Hollie, the owner of the Starfish Cafe, and single mum Kerry. The story has some wonderful heartwarming moments but also some heartbreaking ones too. I love how the characters are all entwined and so supportive of each other. What a fabulous community to live in! There are some very emotional topics covered but all done very sensitively. Once I started this and couldn’t put it down! Although this is the third in this series this can be read as a standalone as it’s easy to catch up with who is who and how they’re connected, I would recommend reading the previous books first. Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest review.

This is the third book in a series, I haven’t read the others so it can be read as a stand-alone.

It’s all centered around The Starfish Cafe who Hollies mother created. Hollie is now the owner and along with her husband Jake and small dog. Single mum Kerry works at the cafe during termtime and has some interesting weeks ahead.

It’s a lovely happy with some sad parts. The main characters are very likable, plus the location is very inviting. It does have trigger points and I’m glad the author explained at the end why she put them in.

A great summer read.

This is the third book in the series, I highly recommend reading them in order as the storylines build on each other. I started this series after finishing reading the Hedgehog Hollow books. I needed my fix of Jessica Redland.

My home town is on the NW Coast of England and while it’s not Whitsborough Bay, the beach setting reminds me of home so I got major nostalgia vibes reading this. I just wish that there were the cute independent shops and cafe’s that are present in this book (my home town seems to be dominated by discount stores and charity shops).

I find it very difficult to pidgeon hole these books into a genre. I looked on Amazon and it had this down as romantic comedy, which I kinda get, although I don’t think Redland’s books have the comedy of some other authors in this category such as Katie Fforde or Jill Mansell. It also suggested Literary Fiction, which I also don’t think suits it, I always think of literary fiction as being more high brow and difficult to read (more like The English Patient, Shuggie Bain or A Little Life). I like to categorise this as “feel good fiction”. Although you may not think this at times reading it as Redland always tackles some difficult subjects along the way, but you do finish the novel feeling uplifted.

Anyway, I’ve loved getting to meet Hollie and her friends and family in this series. I love how they’re always there to support each other. As the central character we have grown to know Holly and Jake really well over the course of this series and in this book we finally get their wedding by the sea. Obviously, everything isn’t plain sailing for them and it does hurt to watch them struggle. They’re like family members that we’ve drown to know and love, like the other residents or Whitsborough Bay we want to help them through the hard times as well as celebrate the good times with them. There were definitely tears shed for them while reading this.

We also get to meet Larissa, although not a major character she does have a big impact on Hollie and Jakes life, and not in a good way.

As with all Redland books we also have a second character who we concentrate on throughout the novel. Kerry is a new character to me, she may have been in earlier books as a side character but I honestly don’t remember her. She is a single mum of 4 and works part time in the Starfish Cafe. We get to find out how she ended up a single mum, the chaos of her current life, and cheer her on as she meets her someone special.

Amazing! This is a fantastic series and I’m so sad to see the end of it, the sense of community and friendship that it creates has been uplifting and brought a smile to my face.

Seeing Hollie and Jake finally getting married, some happiness, when everything goes perfectly on the day was beautiful and then the absolute sadness and tragedy of losing their baby. My heart really ached for them. The entire subject was dealt with with such raw emotion, honesty and truth. No one likes to talk about it and you feel so alone, but then when you take that brave step to share it you’re stunned how many people are affected by miscarriages, people who are in your everyday life - the more we talk about it the more support can be given to the grieving parents and families.

Kerry and Artie really stole the show for me and really hope they get a cameo in another series. Kerry’s ex, Cameron really annoyed me, even knowing all he went through I still wanted to punch him in the face about 99% of the time. Artie couldn’t be more different, and the breath of supporting fresh air that Kerry could really use. Needless to say, lots of meals were served late and bedtimes missed as I refused to stop reading and wanted just one more chapter.

I absolutely loved this book! It is so cute and so sweet. While this is book three in the series, it didn’t feel like I missed out on anything. I’m so sad that this is the last book in the series because I would love to continue the journey of experiencing the lives of those in this community. This book will make you laugh and it will make you smile. I admired Kerry, a superwoman raising her 4 children on her own. I also fell in love with Artie, a sweet man who is friends with nearly everyone. More than anything, I wanted to be a part of this community; I wanted these people to be my friends! The more and more I read, the more and more I wanted to read, but the more that I didn’t want the book to end. There’s so much love in this book – through relationships, family, and friendships. This book is perfect for anyone!

A beautiful end to a fabulous series.

This book had me hooked from the beginning, and was hard to put down.

The setting was gorgeous and the characters were lovely, making you carry on reading to know what comes next.

So, curl up, and forget everything, immerse yourself in this book, but you will need tissues along the way.

I’ve enjoyed reading this whole series and can’t wait to see what Jessica comes up with next.

I highly recommend this book.

Over the last few years, Jessica Redland has become one of my favourite romance authors. She has a way of melding emotional backstories/plots (which I normally avoid) and happy romances that is just perfect, and doesn’t feel too much for me to cope with. So I couldn’t wait to read Summer Nights at the Starfish Cafe, the third in the series. Especially when I saw the absolutely beautiful cover!

I loved seeing Jake and Hollie finally get married after all they’ve been through. I also loved getting to know Kerry better. I can’t imagine how she manages with four children! It was lovely to see her find happiness by the end of the book, after rather a bumpy ride.

As always with Jessica Redland, the book was very well written. The story flowed easily and kept my attention throughout.

Although this story had many very emotional moments, I felt like it was written in a realistic and sensitive way. And of course there’s happy endings too! The epilogue was just perfect.

Overall, this was an emotional and enjoyable story. I recommend it, just make sure you have your tissues handy!
