I love everything about Jessica Redland books, she manages to paint pictures with words so we all feel we are there in Whitsborough Bay watching the seals and enjoying the sunsets. It’s sad that this is the last book in the starfish cafe series but what an ending. Hollie and Jake have a beautiful wedding but fate still hasn’t finished with them., Larissa is back and is just as spiteful as ever. This time the story includes Kerry a single mum to four children - her husband walked out after the scan revealed the third pregnancy was twins. Now selfish Cameron is back seven years later wanting to be involved in the children’s lives. I really loved Kerry and her parenting skills and I was hoping all the way through that fate would be kind to her as she coped with Cameron and his moods. With the lifeboat and pickles, Hollie and Jake’s dog this has to be a winner. It certainly deserves more than five stars.

Wow, what a way to end the Starfish Cafe trilogy, with a book filled with action, drama, emotions at all ends of the spectrum, blasts from the past, and new love too. The blurb says emotional rollercoaster and that is 10000000% what this book is.

I was on the verge of tears multiple times in the story, not necessarily at the big things, but just little touches written so beautifully, combined with my feelings towards the characters, adding up to emotion just causing me to have a lump in my throat.

At times throughout this story, I wanted to reach between the pages, and just give a great big squish hug to Hollie, Jake, Pickle, Kerry (and her 4 children), Angie and Artie. Actually let's be honest I'd love to have been at the Starfish Cafe myself to be able to not only give the hugs in person, but also to see the artwork in Driftwood Dell, and to devour an ice-cream sundae too. Plus I'd love to see the Seals too.

It was great to see cameos of some of the Castle Street characters, no need to have read those books but for fans of the author, like me that devours every single word Jessica Redland writes as soon as it is available, then seeing familiar faces from elsewhere in her world is always a nice bonus.

I believe you can probably read this as a standalone novel, but the whole trilogy is so fabulous, why deny yourself some great other books. And just while I'm thinking it, can I just say kudos to the cover designer, that is simply stunning and really does give a great feeling for the book inside.

I have to say that if Jessica Redland ever wanted to turn her hand to the dark side, she would be a success at that too, as her villainous characters both in this series and also Hedgehog Hollow are truly disturbing and despicable. She clearly is able to write fabulous people that we want to hate and despise, so so well.

This is another completely amazing bit of storytelling from the author, which I just couldn't put down. I was hooked from the first chapter and didn't want it to end. I'm incredibly excited and curious to see what the author will be writing next. I can't wait, and know I'll be first in line to read it!

Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

If you love romcom and romance books but haven't read any books by Jessica Redland then I highly recommend as you will just love them.

It was so wonderful to be back at the gorgeous Starfish Cafe a place I wish that I could actually visit. However this is the last book in the series and I will be sad to say goodbye to characters who have become like old friends.

The gorgeous Hollie and Jake are meant to be together. They are lovely and kind but have had a troubled upbringing and life. However this is the book where they have their happy ending, not without issues happening of course.

It was lovely to find out more about Kerry her life, her struggles and her history. However her ex partner was a selfish, unkind person, and she really deserved better.

This book has love, romance, drama, trauma, mystery, family issues, villains, happily ever afters, gorgeous countryside, wonderful characters and how could I forget the gorgeous doggo Pickle.

A great conclusion to this trilogy at the Starfish Cafe by Jessica Redland. A sympathetic look at some tricky subjects, well handled by the author.

What a wonderful ending to a great series! This book hooks you on the first page and doesn't let go. It has wonderful characters, a beautiful setting, and will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. This is the perfect book to curl up with and escape the world for a little while. I loved reading this book and the entire series and hated to see it end. It deserves more than 5 stars!

This is the third and final book in the series, and I've loved every minute reading them all. So sad it's ending. I do recommend you read them in order to fully appreciate the character build-up.

With lovely characters and a gorgeous seaside setting, this is the perfect escape. All of the books bring the fantastic work of the RNIL volunteers who risk their lives saving others.

I'm looking forward to reading what Jessica brings us next

The wonderful Starfish Café series concludes with this latest book and while I am sad to say goodbye to characters old and new it has been a lovely experience to enjoy these amazing stories. Hollie and Jake are such kind people and who could resist the adorable Pickle, their little dog? Hollie and Jake have had some awful moments in their lives but in this book they finally get married and the wedding is just beautiful. However, fate isn’t done with them yet and there are several challenges and traumas for them to deal with as they enter into married life. I liked the character and story of Kerry who works at the cafe and her young family but her ex, Cameron, was something else with his selfish and immature behaviour and even though he made an effort later on, I’m afraid he never redeemed himself in my eyes. This story, like all Jessica’ books has passion, romance, mystery, drama, family issues and the odd villain – just everything to keep the reader hooked throughout. I love the setting of the north Yorkshire coast and hope that it will be featured again, in future books, along with a little glimpse of some of my favourite characters in Whitsborough Bay. Even a brief reference to Hollie and Jake as to how they are doing would be great. (Please, Jessica?) The RNLI features again in this story and there are some edge-of-the-seat dramas connected to rescues at sea. It really highlights my admiration and gratitude for these wonderful people who risk all to save others on a regular basis. Once again, I’ve loved every minute spent in this book and in that gorgeous seaside setting and will recommend this – and all Jessica Redland’s books - to everyone I know. My thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood books for an ARC which I voluntarily review here.

Jessica Redland does it again!
I love this series and am gutted it’s now finished. It’s a beautifully written book full of love, friendship and loyalty. Meanwhile covering some very emotional issues.
Hollie and Jake are back and getting married, larissa is still up to her old tricks and this time bringing her family with her.
Kerry who works with Hollie is devastated when she gets an e mail from her ex husband saying after seven years he wants contact with their four children.
While Kerry struggles with Cameron coming back into her life it takes an unexpected turn when she meets Artie.
Thank you NetGalley and Jessica for an ARC of such a beautiful book.

This is the first book I've read in the Starfish Cafe series, and I'm sad to see it's the last one as I really enjoyed it.
The characters are lovely and the book is a perfect holiday read. For maximum enjoyment I suggest you read the previous two book first!

Emotional story dealing with very turbulent times in the lives of the characters. While there are uplifting moments, the overall theme of the book was a bit depressing to me. That does not mean the book was poorly written, just the opposite. For my emotions to be drawn out so much and be affected by the situations occurring, the author did their job brilliantly.

I read book one of this series, and somehow missed book two. I was lost a bit when something was mentioned that was obviously from book two, but this passed pretty quickly and the background I needed, to read this book, was given by the author.

I have read several books by Jessica Redland in the past and have enjoyed them. I must honestly say that I struggled with the characters and their actions in this book (and in book one). Trying to not to give away any of the plot, I will just say this. One character has mental issues, that are obvious to everyone, and that should have been addressed by the people around her and not let the situation get to the point that it did. I know every book needs a “villain”, but this one, I can not understand how it carried on as it did.

Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for allowing me to read the advance reader copy, with no obligation to write a review. My review is written freely as a hobby, and is totally my own opinion, not influenced by receiving the ARC.

Loved it!! I'm sad to see the series end. It was a great ending for everyone connected to The Starfish Café. Hollie and Jake had a beautiful wedding and now want to concentrate on adding to their family. I hated the reappearance of Larissa. She is the most hateful and delusional person. They probably should have let her drown on the boat. I'm not sure how her husband stays married to her. She's so prone to violence towards Jake. Who acts someone with biscuits? A crazy and unstable person. There's seriously something wrong with her. Loved getting to know Kerry better, although I had a hard to liking her at first. I'm not sure why she was surprised with Cameron's reaction to her having twins. Throughout their whole "marriage" she allowed him to act anyway he wanted with out consequences. She always made excuses for him and made her decisions based on his happiness. He's never grown up and still acts like a child. What type of person abandons their children for seven years? Whitsborough Bay sounds like a lovely place to live. I would want to be friends with everyone there, eat at The Starfish Café, shop at the the cute little shops and visit the seals on the beach. The book is full of friendship, family and love. There's a few times I might have shed a few tears. All around it was a great book.

Definitely recommend the book and the previous ones in the series. Loved the characters, story and writing style. I'm guessing this might not be the last we see of Whitsborough Bay. Maybe the next book will be abut the cat café and we will get to see some familiar faces. Look forward to reading more books by the author.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Boldwood Books through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

As we return to the beautiful Yorkshire coast, we meet old friends and new characters.
I love this series just as much as the other books by this author.
Set on the beautiful Yorkshire coast, with fantastic wildlife and a host of interesting characters, this is storytelling at its best. Full of laughter, friendship, love and heartbreak, I was hooked from the very first page.
With new and returning characters the author has included a list of the individuals and their relationship to each other.
Hollie from the Starfish Cafe and Jake are planning their wedding, Kerry is coming to terms with her ex husband’s reappearance after seven years apart and Tori has plans.
A great read to escape with.

As the saying goes all
Good things must come to an end and this statement applies to this series of books this is the third and final instalment in the starfish cafe series and like the other books was a complete delight to read and this instalment focused on giving us the character of Kelly’s back story and also seeing hollie and jakes relationship further develop and then settle into married life

The author writes about real relatable characters and their lives and the ups and downs of them and draws the reader in and makes you feel like you are living in the beautiful settings with their descriptions of the sights and sounds and scenery.

I also love how this series has drawn readers attention to the important work of the RNLI and highlighted its importance and why it is needed.

I can’t wait to. See what this author writes about next.

I’m sad to say goodbye to this series. These characters have become like old friends and a comfortable place to visit.
Holly and Jake have grown in their relationship and are now married and looking forward to the future. This book focuses on them as well as in Kerry, who works at the Starfish Cafe, and what a complicated past she has. She’s been raising her four kids by herself since she’s husband walked out the day her found out they were having a set of twins and hasn’t looked back or made contact with them until now. Now it’s seven years later and he wants to try and get back in their lives, so she’s trying to navigate that as gently as she can but it’s hard because there’s so much hostility towards him and they way he left. But there’s also romance in the air for her. Can she juggle it all?
This was a nice send off to the series, but there are some triggers including miscarriage so be warned.
Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

I’ve always enjoyed a Jessica Redland book. This one is no exception. Back with familiar characters. Hollie and Jake are finally getting married but will everything go to plan. Many unwanted faces return and begin to cause heartbreak.
We learn more about Kerry's story as we go along too. Plenty of highs and emotional moments throughout.

The third and final instalment of the Starfish Cafe books, and it's a beautiful way to end! Although it would work as a standalone as the author recaps well, I would absolutely recommend you read the initial two books before this, so you get to experience the whole thing.

This time round sees Hollie and Jake cementing their relationship with their longed for wedding. Will this see their lives finally settle into complete happiness, or will life have yet more curveballs to throw them?

Kerry's story is also explored in this book. She is an employee of Hollie's at the Cafe, and the author tells us how she became a single mum to four young children. I loved finding out more about Kerry and watching as her own relationships, and those of her children, grew.

Jessica Redland has created a wonderful set of characters in these books, along with a fabulous setting. I can't wait to see where she takes us next, but wherever it is, I am sure it will be as wonderful as the Starfish Cafe.
