Children’s books come in two flavors: ones that even adults can appreciate and ones that tickle kids but cause adults to roll their eyes. This Spanish translation of Elise Gravel’s The Toad will probably enchant little boys and girls who love bugs, slimy things, mudpies and fart jokes. Sure, there’s a bit of scientific information here about toads, but most adults will find it just OK. Based on the appeal to the target audience, however, I’m giving it five stars.

a cute book all about toads! In Spanish, it talks about the importance of toads and a lot about their lives. I loved the illustrations too!
