Book 3 of the interconnected Filthy Billionaires Series. Each book follows a different set of characters and can be read as a stand-alone but to get the most of the story it is suggested to read the books in order.

𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
This book picks up right where we got left with Gwen’s little shocker at the end of Accidental Mistress … then back tracks a little to when Lexi and Gwen first visited Obscura.

Gwen is a journalist trying to have her big break and she thinks she going to do it by writing an article on the ‘seedy underground sex club’ and all it’s depraved hidden secrets. But she obviously has it all wrong. She finds a lead when the man in the Devil mask seems to take notice of her.

Then she finds out his true identity and knows this is the break her story needs. Devon can’t let Gwen expose him. So he kidnaps her and is determined keep her from revealing him. There’s a bit of black mail in the beginning. Devon is holding her captive and having her ‘earn’ her way out of her cell… which progresses into also letting her learn the truth about the club… and maybe even some hands on learning. 😉

I did enjoy this book, and I was drawn into the overall plot of the book but the climax was rather …. anticlimactic. There was just something missing for me. I would have loved to have MMC POV… to figure out what made him make some of the choices he did. I liked that Gwen wasn’t so willing to back down from Devon and I liked watching Devon helping Gwen explore her sexuality. This is going to be a 3 star for me… I personally enjoyed book 2 more.

“There’s something about your purity that I want to touch—and corrupt.”

“I want to fuck this tight, wet pussy, Angel. I’m going to enjoy every inch of you underneath me, wrapped around me. I can’t fucking wait to fill you up.”

“That mouth is sinful. Sinful enough for a devil. And how I enjoyed fucking it.”

“Look at me, Gwendolyn, while I’m inside you, don’t pull your eyes away. You still wear my symbol. You’re still mine, even here, outside the playroom. And this sweet, tight pussy, it’s mine too. It feels so good. You feel so good.”

“This cock,” he says pulling back. Then he surges forward, sinking into me even deeper. “Only this cock will make you come.”

I’m really loving every book from Evelyn.
This one is just as good as the first two in the series.
Full of passion, tension , chemistry and steamy moments that make you melt.
Characters that both melt your heart and make you smile, make you want to shake them and give them everything and anything they desire.
Just brilliant writing.
Highly recommend!

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

This is the 3rd book in the series and it can be read as a standalone. Gwen is a journalist and she goes digging a little to deep into Devon’s life and ends up his captive. This is a fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and emotion. The characters have sizzling chemistry and story draws you in from beginning to end. I loved it.

ARC Review of His Captive Mistress by Evelyn Austin

Get ready to be tied up in silk and strung up readers! Another delicious and fantastic edition to the series that has me reading up late into the night and pining for more!

Gwen got in a little too deep.
Her curious nature and journalist flare found a big story that could blow up like a nuke, however, her handsome topic for the feature is not too keen to have his secrets and identity exposed to the public...and will do anything to make sure it doesn't happen.
She is currently in his grasp.
The Devil has his Angel.
She is his until she bends to his will...with a little bit more leaverage to show that he has all the power.
She will love it.
She will crave it.
How she will break however, was not in his plan.

I immediately put down the book I was reading and went straight for this one. After the cliffhanger in the previous read, of course I was wanting to know what happened to Gwen, and she is in much more trouble than I thought.
Devon's past experiences indeed do reflect his crave for control, but does have his limits even when he is pushing them with Gwen. He loves teasing and pushing her to the edge, and he knows he has her interest more than just any reporter. I am surprised she didn't hold out longer, maybe threw in a few slaps, but thank the lord she didn't because it would have not been so...wowzers!

"Sinful little angel, making the Devil come in her hand,"
This book was darker and spicier than the first two books in the series !!! I really enjoyed it !!!
While the plot was a little less than the other two I very much appreciated the fact that this time around the story was concentrated on the relationships between Gwen and Devon and the twisted way it started only to finish with an HEA !
This is possibly the first book I read about a kidnapping turning into something different and the dark development of the romance kinda resonated with how I expected the story to go.
More bdsm and bondage than in the previous books and a man that’s very used to have everything he wants. There was even an improvement in the dïrty talks (if you know what I mean) which I really enjoyed actually.
And once again, I love every time the author leaves the LAST CHAPTER HANGING and the excitement for the next adventure only growing in me !!!
