This book was so cute. The illustrations were perfect, so detailed. There are cats & I love cats. What a cute book and to expose children to disco- everything comes back in style so maybe this book is on the cutting edge of something.

This was a fun read for young ones about perseverance and the power of music to connect! I enjoyed the rhythm and rhyme and think this would be a fun book for kids. I also love the cats and the humor, and the illustrations were delightful!

So fun! This books is playfully written perfect for little ones! I love all the rhymes and adult humor in some lines! I would definitely read this to my class!

This book shows a downtown city, deep in sleep, except for a bunch of cats, decked in colorful garb and ready to party. The music wakes up one of the neighbors, and his dogs, who he sends to solve the sound issue, get wrapped in the fray. They aren't the only ones! He sends a bunch more people until he has to pull the pull himself. Luckily, there are some trash bins nearby, loud enough to wake up and join the party. Fun, colorful and celebratory, this will be a fun and popular book.

This story is super fun and glamorous. It was just as much fun for me to read to my 6yo as it was for her to listen. Of course, it comes with a great message, but really, the sparkles are more than enough!

I loved this book and would find it very useful in my music classroom. I teach a unit on Jazz in April each year, and this is the perfect book to along with my unit. My students would enjoy both the story and the art work! I like that the book features rhythm in the way that it is written as well. I just reviewed Sam Francisco by Sarah Tagholm. This was a cute story about cat DJ Sam Francisco hosting a party but his neighbor Buzzkill Bill doesn't like the noise and tries several things to stop the party. I loved the brightly colored illustrations and the rhyming text. There was not a lot of text per page which will be great for younger students to keep them interested and engaged. I can also see a lot of great cat and dog activities that would pair well with this story as a read aloud. I know my students will definitely love this story- it's going on my to-purchase list for fall!

This book was pure silly fun. Sam the cat is a DJ who plays all kinds of music that all kinds of people can’t help but dance to, despite the irritation of his neighbor Buzzkill Bill. The names and costumes of the cats were inventive and fun. I loved the mention of several kinds of music. Kids and adults will both enjoy this one!
