Thank you to the publishers, author and NetGalley for the free copy of this audio book.

This was a cute read. Good pacing and likeable characters, and a nice clean romance. The narrator was good too.

Right Girl Wrong Side is a fast paced, second chance rom-com that is a modern twist on Romeo and juliet.. if both families were living under one roof for a week.

Ryan and Evita had a thing for each other in high school, but nothing ever came of it because their families had a long-standing feud. When the two families get stuck under one roof for the week because of a booking error, this gives Evita and Ryan a second chance at love but first they have to convince their families to leave the past in the past.

If you're in need of a fast beach read for the springtime, this one was a lot of fun!

Right Girl, Wrong Side - very cute premise, and well written! Sort of a spin on the classic Romeo and Juliette, West Side Story, or Hatfields and McCoys story idea (one of the familyโ€™s is even named Hatfield!), where two families with a past history of competing and conflicting try to keep the young kids apart by any means necessary, yet somewhere down the line, the conflict comes to the forefront and the kids end up together.

This story is centered on Evita and Ryan, who had a crush on each other when they were paired as lab partners back in high school. Their mothers had a long-standing feud that went back to their own high school days, and did everything possible to keep them from becoming friends (or more), going so far as to have their lab partnership split up. They were forbidden from going to prom together, even though they both wanted to. Both ended up dating other people, and led different livesโ€ฆ until one day (something like 10 or so years later), the competing mothers, both in the same job, thought they each won an auction for a week in Nantucket, and everybody showed up to the house at the same time. Hijinx over sharing and dividing the space ensue, while Evita and Ryan renew their friendship and romantic interest, and everyone in the house tries to help heal the decades-long rift between the moms.

A lot of laughs and good times in this second chance (clean) romance that borrows some ideas from well beloved stories of feuding families. I really enjoyed it, and the narration by Karla Serrano was very well done. I definitely recommend this one to everyone looking for a great, low-angst, good time!

I received an advance listen copy from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, and this is my honest feedback.

This book is such a fun light hearted, laugh out loud beach read. The premise is a modern take on Hatfields and Mccoys or a Romeo and Juliet tale. Two families are faced to share/split a beach house for vacation due to an error at a charity event. The two families know of one another but have past history and do not like one another. They both have different lifestyles and way of doing things. There is a lot of drama between the mothers and family. Evita Machado is one of the main characters. She is coming out of a and relationship and owns her own flower shop. Her mom won a week at this beach house in Nantucket at a charity auction. Ryan Hatfield is the main character for the other family. He also happens to be Evitaโ€™s high school crush!
I listened to an audiobook version of this story narrated by Karla Serrato. The performance is lively and engaging. Many thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the digital review copy of this novel. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I'm not surprised that I really liked this book, it was written by Ginny Baird after all and I'm used to not expecting anything predictable from her books and being very surprised and happy reading it
.
This is a friend to lovers, second chance romance within a trope of rival families with forced proximity
.
I found the plot excellent and I really liked how the relationship between the characters flowed towards the end. not to mention how great it is narrated, Spanish is my first language and I am fascinated to hear such good pronunciation and the fluency in the mixture of both languages, the different voices that interpreted by a single narrator is usually tricky, it is very well done, and let me enjoy the book
.
Evita Machado and her family gather for a week's vacation in the house that Evita's mother won in a silent auction against her enemy Mrs. Hatfield. But when they arrive they discover that they are not the only ones in the beach house
.
Ryan can't believe being in the same place with Evita after so many years. Despite the rivalries between their mothers, Evita and Ryan became friends during high school and have fond memories of each other. It would be great for him to reconnect with her but the feud between their families only seems to escalate more and more, when they agree to share the house by dividing it in half
.
restless babies and little childrens, fights for beach umbrellas and even board games, have them sneak around for small moments where they agree to mediate between both families to enjoy their vacations and maybe find out more about each other
.
It was a cute and fun romance highly recommended to pass the time or listen while doing something pleasant
.
Thanks to Ginny Baird and Dreamscape media for give me this beautiful book in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion

There wasn't anything necessarily wrong with this book, but I was struggling to want to finish it. Most of the background characters were superficial in personality and two-dimensional in print. After the first bicker match, I wanted to stop and start something new. But I was working from home and needed something, so I just let it keep going. And I didn't really enjoy anything in the book.

There's a difference between rivalry antics and just being... annoying.

This is a super cute, sweet, fun romance. Evita Machado and her family cannot wait for their family vacation in Nantucket. They won a dream house for a week in an auction and are looking forward to the getaway until they show up to find out that Ryan Hatfield and his family were already there. A mix-up at the auction means that the house was awarded to both families on accident which would be fine except their parents cannot stand one another. Ryan and Evita were friendly in high school but never took it further as they knew that their parents would not approve. Now, years later, they have a second chance to spend some time with one another but the feud between families is as strong as ever.

This book had the perfect getaway vibes. I loved the family aspects with home-cooked meals, fun on the beach and game nights. I enjoyed both the Hatfields and the Machados and all the relationships the various couples had with one another. Evita and Ryan had a cute second chance romance in here with lots of discussions about going for what they want, both in relationships and their careers. You can see the challenge of managing your own goals and wishes while still wanting to be accepted and understood by your parents.

The audiobook version is well done. The narrator is great and handles the children's voices in the book well. I was engaged and wanting to listen well past the time I had allotted to do so. If you are looking for a sweet, closed door romance that will have you smiling the whole time, this is for you. 3.5 stars rounded up.

I was sold by the premise of this one: "a multicultural story about two disputing families sharing a beach house and the messiness that comes from falling in love with someone who your family is determined to despise."

And it sure is messy! The moms in the Machado and the Hatfield families have actively disliked each other since high school. Their kids, Evita and Ryan, sort of had a thing for each other when they were in school, but they never dated because of their moms. Now Evita and Ryan are in their late 20s, and sparks fly once more, as both families share a vacation home.

I thought Evita was a great main character, and I liked scenes with her big, boisterous family. There are a couple of moments when various members of Evita's family sort of nudge her toward Ryan which were so fun -- I'd have liked more intervention there, in part to make the feud between the moms feel like less of a focal point. Evita and Ryan read as young for their ages (I think in service of the plot). Overall, I liked this one, but found it a bit repetitive at times -- give me more beach house scenes and less discussion of the feud/various characters' life choices.

I also liked Karla Serrato's narration, but think I'd have appreciated a different narrator to bring Ryan's parts to life. The narration of the small kids wasn't my favorite at the beginning but by the end I was into it.

This dual POV packs in the family drama! Two long time rivals find themselves splitting a beach house together with their families for a week. During this stay a spark is reignited with their children. It is a contemporary take on Romeo and Juliet with a much more lighthearted feel. There are lots of lively characters and tons of family drama that spills over into the budding romance.

One thing I wanted from this book was a little less focus on the drama and a little more focus on the romantic relationship we are supposed to be rooting for. Overall yes I did want Evita and Ryan to get together but I also wanted them have more secret conversations or relationship building moments to make us see that they are truly fighting for each other. That being said I understand there was a lot of back story with them being so close in high school. I understood that their mother's drama together made them dating in high school impossible but with that being such huge obstacle now as adults it made them feel like a fair weather relationship. Which ultimately made me rate this lower than my typical romance.

Overall, anyone who likes a lighthearted beachy romance will enjoy this book! Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this story.

I adored this audiobook. At first it was giving Romeo and Juliet vibes and was worried I walk into a retelling but it wasnโ€™t. highly recommend reading this book. The audio voice was great clear and just bubbly enough to convey the heroines character

Right girl, wrong side is a super cute cozy story. Both families think they won the bid on a beachy getaway and are both to stubborn to go home. Our swoony couple has had eyes for each other since high school. The hilarious embarrassing family drama just pushed them closer and closer.
Although this isn't my go to read the story was sweet and enjoyable.

This was such a fun listen!

The Machado and Hatfield matriarchs have been feuding since high school. Now, years later, after a mix up with a charity auction, both of their families end up believing they have won the same week at a Nantucket beach house. When both groups arrive and refuse to leave, they are forced to either figure out how to cohabitate or run the other family out of the house.

At the center of their feud, and attempting to keep the peace, are their children: Evita and Ryan. Both want nothing more than their families to move on from their fighting. They spent most of high school secretly crushing on each other and knowing they could never pursue anything more than a secret friendship. But...if their moms would only put aside their differences, maybe they can be more than what they ever hoped for.

Thank you @dreamscapemedia @sourcebookcasa @netgalley for this audiobook. This was a fun story about 2 families that both won a vacation in Nantucket in the same house. The families' mom are rivals since high school and they divide the house between the family for the duration of the vacation. I enjoyed how level headed Evita and Ryan was and how they dealt with their parents. The story was fun despite how petty the moms were.

I wished we saw more of Evita and Ryanโ€™s past friendship and deep emotions. It almost felt like their stories were surface level to the readers. I would have loved to know more of their thoughts and emotions, but maybe, Iโ€™m too accustomed to multiple first person point-of-view romance books. Overall, this story was adorable and perfect for readers searching for a book without any serious trigger warnings.

The narrator did a great job making me forget I was listening to an audiobook, and their voices for the different characters made me convinced there was a full cast.

Think Romeo and Juliet but the Capulets and Montagueโ€™s have to live in a beach house together for a week. Oh my gosh can you imagine the craziness, fights but also possible hilarity that would ensue, well thatโ€™s what you got in Right Girl, Wrong Side.

This is a second chance romance for Evita and Ryan who always had a thing for each other in high school but their feuding moms always prevented anything beyond lab partners. I absolutely loved their romance, both wanting to honor and support their families but also are now adults with lives of their own and want to do what is right for them and follow their heart. The romance was sweet and left room for more later.

This was a fun, funny and for the most part a lighthearted novel with lots of banter and shenanigans. A great read to get away from the winter blues to a sunny beach read.

Enjoyable romantic comedy, 3.5 stars. Likable characters and fun take on a Romeo and Juliet retelling. I really enjoyed the ending and that the flaws of the families where real and relatable.
