What an emotive read this proved to be,
With Georgia chronically ill, you see.
Needing a double transplant but with little hope
She's determined to make the best of it all and cope.

She creates a not bucket list of what she wants to do,
Helped by best friend, Gabe, who will see her through.
He's determined to help her where he can
Living the best life is their plan.

Number one is spending summer by the sea
And Seabreeze Farm helps this a reality be.
Georgia doesn't want pity or sympathy for her plight,
Preferring laughter with Gabe her day and night.

With friendships, helping others and so much more,
Despite her condition that she tries to ignore.
But fate has surprises for both families here
In this story which is oh, so dear!

A story of adversities, living life to the full
In this beautiful story that's never dull.
A story of a seemingly impossible romance
Being given, at last, a tentative chance.

This heartwarming story deals with issues galore
And I highly recommend it - it is one I adore!
For my complementary copy, I say a huge thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

I would firstly just like to say a big thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources who very kindly forwarded me an arc copy of this book, for my kindle, in return for my honest review.

This book was previously published as ‘One Last Summer At Channel View Farm’ .

One Last Summer At Sea Breeze Farm is a wonderful, heartwarming book, in a beautiful setting, with amazing characters(who were so believable and down-to-earth) and written to make your heart happy and i loved everything about it.

My emotions definitely took me on an emotional roller coaster and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough as i just needed to know what was going to happen next.

A gorgeous, heartwarming and emotional story and i really enjoyed it…….

Another visit to the Seabreeze farm deals with a life-threatening condition and its emotional effects. The story portrays the choices and decisions Georgia and her family make believably. The farm setting is authentic, and the cast of animal and human characters make this a heartwarming story. It takes the reader on a heartbreaking journey no one wants to face. I like the characters, the emotions and the setting.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

Yet again, Jo has come up with a stunning, but emotional book with lovely characters. Hoping it will be another bestseller. Thank you Jo.

I loved so many components of this sweet, delightful book.
I loved the found family aspects, I loved the farm animals, the combining of talents to create something awesome.
And if course the friends to lovers storyline.
My heart was on the verge of breaking a few times but was put back together in other ways.
At one point I wanted to squeal for joy but with sleeping family members I had to settle for a silent happy dance.

I truly loved every character, they're so wholesome, so accepting but more than accepting its the little touches that showed they truly cared and wanted Georgia to be part of something, but without letting her feel it was a huge effort on their part. And that's what embracing differences is. It shouldn't seem like they're doing you a favour by accepting you.

I love books that evoke so many different emotions, a real roller coaster ride and this one did that.
I hear 'rumours' that Seabreeze farm is not going away and I hope they're true

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

This book was an emotional read.

After Georgia receives some bad news from her consultant, she makes a list of all the things she wants to do.

With the help of Gabe, she begins to tick off those things on her list.

She stays at Seabreaze Farm, and it was lovely to meet up with old friends, they help Gabe and Georgie as much as they can.

It was also lovely to see the friendship between Gabe and Georgie, how they joked together so that they didn’t think of what was to come.

I highly recommend this book.

Really enjoyed this book. George has diabetes that has destroyed her kidneys so she needs a kidney and pancreas transplant. Her prognosis isnt good so she creates a "to do list" and one of those involves living by the sea. She hires a small cottage on Seabreeze farm with her friend Gabe who has known her since they were children.

You get to meet the other characters on Seabreeze farm as this is part of a series of books, but you can also read this as a standalone without any issues.

Very charming, hope the series continues.

Wow what an emotional ride this book is. Jo Bartlett surely knows how to tug at those heartstrings. Georgia’s story is a difficult one but I so admired her strength in handling the news from the consultant. I loved the idea of her list of things to do and felt the support of friend Gabe was inspiring. Their friendship made the story for me - it’s was so lovely how they’d been through so much and I loved their way of joking together to maintain some level of normalcy - even if their black humour was sometimes too much for others to take. Being back at Seabreeze Farm was like being with old friends and the way they pulled around Georgie and Gabe was so beautiful.

I usually adore Jo Bartlett’s writing, picking up one of her books is usually really ‘feel good’ escapism, but I’m not sure what has happened over her last couple of books. First we have an MS diagnosis for Ella in the Cornish Midwife series and now organ transplant in the Seabreeze Farm series. I realise real life isn’t always a bed of roses (I myself have a chronic & limiting degenerative condition), that books can be enhanced by these storylines, and having main characters with certain conditions can help people feel seen. However, I felt the Cornish Midwife storyline was handled much better than the one in this book; this book felt impersonal and at times (especially in the first half of the book) it felt like a lecture or one of those public information films from the 70s/80s, like there were sections written to pass on information to the reader rather than it being an actual conversation between characters in the book. I understand why though as organ donation is so important, but it just didn’t feel like the topic was handled as well as the MS storyline in the Cornish Midwife series.
I’m really sad to leave this review as Jo Bartlett has become one of my favourite authors. I always pounce on her books with much excitement, but this one did not live up to my expectations. As another reviewer has said, it has a feel of an overview as there are chunks of story missing - several times it goes from the anticipation of an occurrence to it having happened and we the reader are left not knowing what happened, other than the occasional reflection by the characters. I also found the main characters very hard to warm to & that Georgia especially was somewhat one dimensional rather than the fully-formed characters I have come to expect in Jo Bartlett’s writing. I struggled to finish this book & several times was tempted not to finish, which is not a feeling I thought I’d ever have with this author’s work.
I hope there will be another trip to Seabreeze Farm & that I will enjoy that visit as much as I have the previous ones & that this book was perhaps just not for me.

Book 3 of the Seabreeze Farm series is a heartbreaker! Georgia gets devastating diagnoses and decides she’s going to make the most of the time she has left, including spending her last summer at the sea. She has nothing extraordinary on her list, simple things like raise money for charity, get a puppy. Her best friend Gabe and her mother Caroline want to know all there is to know about what can be done, but Georgia just wants to make the most of her summer at Kelsea Bay and while there she’s able for fulfill items from her wishlist all the while finding love and hope for the future and brimming with fun animals and great support from her friends that we have grown to love in the previous books.
I adore this series and can’t see where it continues to go.

I love Jo Bartlett's novels and while I really enjoyed this one, I felt it wasn't quite up to her usual standards. It almost felt like I was reading a really thorough outline rather than a fully developed novel. And it was tough to get attached to Georgia. I get that she doesn't want to feel like a charity case, but she mostly just comes across as unappreciative of what others are trying to do for her. It wasn't until probably about half-way through the novel that I started to like her - and then she went and blew up her life. My heart broke a little for Gabe in the way she treated him after the surgery. Even when he tried to express how he felt about her she refused to listen and basically forced him to leave her (talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy). The big reunion between Gabe and Georgia was also a little reminiscent of the ending to Finding Family at Seabreeze Farm (book 2 in the series). As for the big reconciliation scene at the end it went from Gabe showing up at the wedding to the next morning - we didn't even get to see the conversation between the two, it was more of a summary after the fact than the big payoff I was hoping for. That's what I meant by this feeling like an outline - it seemed to skip a lot of the development and big moments and just tell us about them later. Still an enjoyable book, just not as good as some of her others.

This has been my favourite in the series so far.
Georgia is in desperate need of a kidney and pancreas transplant and after being told her odds aren’t good she decides she’d like to spend her last summer by the sea, who better to spend it with than her lifelong friend Gabe.
When Georgia visits Seabreeze Farm and becomes friends with Ellie and her mum she takes up an offer too good to refuse.
This is a very emotional story which Jo Bartlett has covered very well. Made me happy and sad to read Georgias story.
Hopefully there will be more in this series.
Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

Oh thank goodness for a happy ending, for so long I feared I was going to need a box of tissues for the end as Gabe and Caroline tried to move on with their lives.

I loved being back at Seabreeze Farm and seeing Ellie and her family in happier times. The views described from Cliffview made me feel like I was there and wishing I could book a summer break there myself.
Seeing Gabe and Georgia finally express their feelings, especially as everyone else could see how they felt for each other when they were both so scared to open up to each other. Seeing the donkeys and other rescue animals have their day to shine in their storybook was great too. I hope we get to see more of their happy ever after in future books.

Another great book by Jo Bartlett. It was great being back at Seabreeze Farm and this time the focus was on Georgia who is waiting for a kidney and pancreas transplant. Gabe has always been her best friend and when she receives bad news he stays right by her side. Georgia wants to spend what is possibly her last summer in Kelsea Bay and spend time at her favourite place, Seabreeze Farm. Georgia has a very strong personality and doesn’t like being seen as someone who needs help, so when she’s offered the chance to stay at Seabreeze Farm rent free she needs a lot of persuasion to be convinced that it’s not charity. This has love, romance, community, friendship and sends a powerful message about the importance of organ donation. Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.

A very lovely book with a very important message about how important it is to be an organ donor. It was also so lovely to be back at Srabreeze Farm.

In this book we meet Georgia who is living on borrowed time. Her doctor has told her that she only has one summer left to live and she is determined to make every single day count. One thing that she knows for certain is that her best friend Gave needs to be by her side for the whole time. Drawing up a bucket list of the things that they must do together before the end of the summer.

So with this in mind they set off to her favourite place to spend time at as a child.

This is a beautiful story about second chances, it has a lovely romantic element running throughout. The characters are lovely. There are lots of emotional bits that really tug on your heart strings.

A welcome return to Seabreeze Farm. This time round, Georgia has been given a heartbreaking diagnosis by her consultant - she urgently requires a kidney and pancreas transplant, without which he gives her only a year to live. Determined to tick items off her not-a-bucket list, she asks to spend her last summer by the sea.

The book tackles the subjects of transplant, organ donation and animal rescue. It is all sensitively handled, and promotes them well.

I enjoyed revisiting Ellie and Ben and their family and animals, however the main characters in this book (Georgia and Gabe) I didn't find myself warming to as much. Possibly because I found them both a bit irritating in their inability to actually talk to each other about important issues, when they knew they were living on potentially borrowed time!

I struggled to get into the story it was sad and funny and hopeful in parts, it was a good read once i got going

Welcome to Seabreeze Farm. Perched high on the cliffs above the English Channel, it’s surrounded by the antics of a menagerie of rescued animals and the warmth of friendship.

Georgia Banks is living on borrowed time. When her doctor tells her she’s got one last summer, she’s determined to make every day count. One thing Georgia knows for certain, is that she wants her best friend, Gabe, to be with her every step of the way. Georgia draws up her not-a-bucket list with all the things she’s determined to do before she goes, number one which is to spend one last summer by the sea in her favorite place since childhood.

Just when she thinks there’s nothing left to wish for, Georgia gets another chance at life. But taking it might mean losing the one person she cares most about.

I love second chance stories and adored this book. A gorgeous book combining a stunning setting, wonderful characters, a lovely romance and plenty of emotional moments. The author’s series are totally enchanting. If you haven’t discovered this author you are missing out.

Thank you so much to Netgalley, Boldwood Books, and the lovely Jo Bartlett for the pleasure of reading and reviewing this story. All opinions are my own.

5/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
